This hotel is very good situation for old Havana sightseeing.
The room is classic, but very clean.
The staff was very kindness.
The problem are room security and WiFi. This hotel is no WiFi system.
We stopped in here on more than one occasion to use the facilities. Ladies, BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. You will be charged for some, if the attendant is even there to give it to you. The fountain in the courtyard is gorgeous, and we...More

Most places only accept cash , CUC and the Cuban peso .The cuban peso you will probaly get in your change , the CUC from banks ,currency exchange shops and ATM's . I have changed British pounds (sterling)at the hotel santa isabel but you can get a better exchange rate elsewhere . For the tobacco growing (cigars ) we arranged a guide in vianales area through our casa who walked with us into the very muddy valley where the best tobacco is grown . It would be impossible to do this in town shoes , walking boots are required . If you want to buy a cigar or two on the farms is your best bet . Cheaper then the goverment branded ones and the finest taste ....enjoy .
