Cary and Elio will make you feel right at home. The rooms are within their home, so you really get the sense that they are sharing their home with you... which they are! They are delightful people, both with such interesting life stories, we could have listened to them for hours... we often did! We actually ended up extending our...

Myself, daughter and two friends stayed there just one night, but we were completely captivated by our hosts, their stories of their lives in Cuba and how warm and inviting they were. When we arrived they had fresh guava juice prepared for us, which we enjoyed on the upstairs porch. We easily fit into the two guest rooms which had...

I had the pleasure to visit Casavera second time (previous visit was way too long ago...2004). It was so nice to feel like returning to my home. Caridad and Elio are so lovely and helpful hosts. Whether you need help with practicalities or want to discuss Cuban culture and history, they are full of information. They are also excellent cooks...

Elio and Caridad are a lovely couple. They helped us a lot during our stay in Havana; they recommended places to see, organised transportation to Varadero and Trinidad for us, arranged our stay in Trinidad etc. Their house feels like home, rooms are clean and comfortable with all the conveniences. We recommend the excellent breakfasts they serve on their terrace...

We so enjoyed our short stay with Elio and Caridad. These two shared amazing stories of their incredible life together. Their home doesn't have a hotel feel at ALL! Which is what we loved about it the most. We just felt like we were visiting close family. We felt so at home there. The room was super cozy, clean, and...

Room was very pleasant with good size bathroom and storage. Our hosts were great at recommending things to do or just to just chat for a bit. Definitely recommend this as a...

For four weeks we stayed at Casavera during a medical exchange. We enjoyed the friendliness of Elio and Caridad. They are great hosts and always willing to help you by booking small trips and calling people if something had to be organised. We really felt at home. Our rooms and bathroom were comfortable with air conditioning, a fridge and a...

"CASAVERA, your home beyond the ocean" is what Caridad had written to me before our departure to Cuba and she was absolutely right! We started and finished our trip in the loveliest house of Elio and Caridad. Room and the flat itself were very pleasant - clean, comfortable and with all conveniences. Wonderful terrace and roof terrace to rest and...

I stayed at Casa Vera for a few days in January this year. The rooms were comfortable with hot water. And I loved Vera and her husband. Vera woked as a simultaneous translator for many years and is funny and brilliant. I recommend eating a few meals at Vera's because the food was fantastic.

We stayed in Cuba two weeks and we had all the time accommodation by Caridad and Elio in Casavera. We liked it very much. We felt ourselves to live at home. Caridad gave us good advices and Elio prepared delicious breakfasts and feast. We went to town well prepared and used the shared taxis every day. It costs 10 national...
