We had reserved a room for three people through an agency. When we arrived we were shown a terrible room, that could be reached climbing three staircases, one of which in the open and made of iron (it was raining and the star was slippery). The room was small, depressing, and one of the walls was made of glass letting...

I have lived in Cuba for over a year and this is the worst casa I have come across. The hosts are not friendly at all and the casa is overpriced for the area. The rooms are not very clean and are very dark. The casa is also very noisy with Ana Doris talking loudly until early in the morning....

I think we stayed in one of the best room, but it was really bad. Too hot, uncomfortable, and shower was barely running. Actually I liked the location since its in the really old part of Habana Vieja, but the feeling you get from the place is really bad and it kinda ruins your vacation. The doors clearly forced to...

Don't stay at this casa- read the other reviews- these hosts are dishonest and they're out to make extra money off their guests! We stayed here for three nights. The husband drove us on our last day and charged more than a typical taxi driver to drop us off. We also had our washing done here and realised it was...

We stayed our last night in Cuba in this casa. It was unfortunately the worst casa we've visited in 2,5 weeks. It was very very small and hot. The airco couldn't improve the temperature much. Also, the bathroom was not clean. There were hairs everywhere and also was sand (or who knows what else) in one of the beds. When...

The room and bathroom were really small. The casa is located in Habana Vieja. For that reason the house is old, dirty and it is loud all the time. Especially in the night and in the early morning (4 a.m.). It was the worst but most expensive casa out of five on Cuba where we stayed. The owners were not...

we booked via casas-cuba.org and when we arrived at 11 PM Doris told us that she didn't receive no reservations! So what? We found an other casa particular just for one night. Doris also tried to cherge more the bill. We had reserved 2 rooms with bathroom and the second night we could only sleep in a 4 bed room...

we stayed at this casa in our last night in Cuba. The room was nice, very big bathroom and clean. the Casa didn't had any dinner and the breakfast was poor (the the breakfast is the only really good meal in Cuba). The location is nice if you want to stay in Old Havana. The check out time from the...

We booked 3 nights in the casa and after a horrible night we decided to leave. So we stayed 1 night in the casa of Miguel and Ana Doris and I recommend to anyone NOT to stay there. These people are dishonest and do not deserve to host travellers. Our room was on the top of the house, the third...

We stayed 3 nights in the casa of Miguel and Ana Doris and I recommend to anyone NOT to stay there. These people are dishonest and do not deserve to host travellers. On the morning we left the house, Ana came with a huge bill, the rate of the room had changed from 30CUC per night to 35CUC. She tried...

“Stay away!”
Puffodioso, 13 Feb 2017 | Read review
“Not all the rooms are created equal. The room on the main floor at the back of the house is quieter, with the air conditioner going, as the ceilings are so high! The room on the second floor at the back of the house has so much natural sunlight, it is the best looking room, but you can hear the neighborhood roosters as you are higher, at rooftop level. The private terraces do have a great view though!”

“If you have problems climbing stairs, be sure to specify the ground level room. If this room is not available look elsewhere.”

“Speak up if you need to make a specific room request. Do not assume that you are in a Holiday Inn. They will make things right with a smile. Ask and it will happen.”
