PLUS + very good price for room (25 CUC per night) and breakfast (5-6 CUC) + very good location in Havana: only 10 min by foot to Malecon or Capitolio and nearby supermarkets and kiosks + very warmly and helpful owners: Ari and Isreal gave us advices for sightseeing and eating or description of street routes - and nice conversations... We stayed here for 2 days at the beginning of our trip to Cuba and thought so positively that we decided to book with them for the end of the trip as well. The rooms were clean, hot and cold showers, decent size, good aircon and the hosts were lovely. The case is really well located being only a few... More

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Israel. The room was spacious and clean with good AC. Ari helped to sort out our trip onwards from Havana and organised another casa in Trinidad. She also arranged for airport pick up and drop off which were both very reliable. Breakfast was good and only 4 CUC- cheaper than anywhere else we stayed... More

It's located within walking distance of both Malecon and Parque Central. Beds were a bit to soft for me (not spring mattress). The shower had just a few rays and was mostly cold. Good breakfast (for Cuba...). Booked dinner the first evening. It was quite OK. The home page says it has a roof terrace. We was never showed to it.... More

My girlfriend and I stayed with Ari for three nights on the recommendation of a friend who had stayed before we arrived. It was a superb stay, so good we booked another night with Ari when we returned to Havana after a few nights in Trinidad (which Ari arranged transport for). We would have stayed another night but Ari was... More

We stayed in Casa Israel and also in Alex casa, which is run by the same owners, for 5 nights in Havanna and really enjoyed it! The room was clean, the AC worked pretty well and the breakfast was amazing (loads of fresh fruits, french toast, bread, eggs, juice, ..). It is located in central Havana, which is about a... More

We spent our first few days in Havana at the well located Casa Israel. It's not actually in the most historic part, Habana Vieja, but is only about 5 minutes walk to Parque Central and to the old town beyond. The room was simply furnished (as were all the rooms in every Casa we stayed in ) but it had... More

We stayed for 7 nights at Casa Israel. We have visited Cuba many times and always stay in hotels. We decided to stay at Casa Israel because of all the great reviews on tripadvisor. These reviews are well deserved. A spacious air conditioned room with en suite. A host (Ari) who was happy to help with any request.- great breakfast,... More

First off, I think it's important to remember that this is Cuba and staying in a casa is the best way to experience the real Havana. We loved this casa. It was comfortable and clean, we had our own bathroom with fresh towels. What more could you need when exploring a beautiful city all day and night? The benefits of... More

I have no idea why this casa gets such a high rating. The room was cell-like, the sink was blocked all week (even though we pointed it out to the owner) and the street outside is not a pleasant part of town. The owner was helpful in recommending how to get about in Havana, but the taxi she arranged to... More
