Flying solo, as a couple or with the family? These are all perfect options for getting the most out of the Iberostar Bella Vista Varadero. The colours decorating the rooms, the interior and exterior design are living proof that there’s a world for every guest. Located barely 10 metres from the sand of a world-famous beach, the complex is surrounded by a lovely and beautifully kept tropical environment. There are activities for the little ones (who won’t want to leave the children’s pool) and for the adults (some of whom won’t want to leave the golf course), as well as facilities tailored for every need and welcoming staff who make this hotel one of the best in Varadero. And it’s All Inclusive…

The Iberostar Origin Bella Vista is often celebrated for its vibrant entertainment and inviting atmosphere, though some guests highlight noise and upkeep problems. While the hotel's location is lauded for its scenic proximity to Varadero village and the beach, opinions are mixed regarding room quality, with praise for spaciousness and views but criticism for maintenance and cleanliness. Amenities like varied food and beach services are popular, yet some visitors report issues with their upkeep. The staff's warmth and attentiveness are well-regarded, although the value proposition has been questioned by guests expecting more for their money.

Fabulous hotel, with beautiful views and beaches with blue, calm and clean waters; variety and sufficiency in the buffet food and incredible attention from each Cuban employee. The rooms have air conditioning, hot water and are clean to an acceptable level, perhaps there are pending maintenance details, but it is normal on the coast for this to happen. What they should control is the smokers, they smoke anywhere and no one tells them anything, they even do it in family areas with children included. They could change the name of the hotel so that it is specified that it is for adults and/or smokers, and each person decides whether to hire the lodging service. Its location is Intermediate on the peninsula, therefore close to everything, towards the town, the Ambrosio cave or towards La Marina. The tourist bus stops in front of the hotel exit depending on the direction you want to take, cost 5 USD per day (9am to 6pm) for the routes you consider. I leave in images the business card of an elegant classic car driver.

I went with my 7-month-old baby and my husband, it was our first family vacation, I had already been 4 years ago and at that time it was wonderful and that's why I chose to return (clearly a mistake). The hotel needs maintenance everywhere; With the theme "we are against plastic" the paper cups run out very quickly and the glasses don't even speak of, they should tell you to bring your things to drink liquid from your house, that's what happens with the cleanliness of the room, you want to put cream on it and it comes out defeated , the knobs are not fixed or filled. You check in at 4 pm and check out at 12 noon, meaning they take almost a day from your reservation. Dirty rooms (bed full of sand and hair, dirty shower, no place to sit on the balcony, smelly towels); Nobody helps you in the pools (at least not in the children's pool); The elevator doesn't even mark the floors and be careful with the sensor, I hit my hand more than once trying to keep the doors from closing with the baby's stroller. There is no longer a mini bar in the rooms. Something good, the attention of the staff. Clarify that I am Cuban (trip advisor won't let me put it in) and they spend too much work saving for the quality-price issue to be so horrendous.

Second time at this hotel, stay for 4 nights, two adults and a 2-year-old baby. I love the facilities dedicated to children, the two pools with slides are beautiful and very fun for the little ones, we also liked the children's club area, it has a ball pool, tables and chairs with board games, drawing materials, toys, balls, table football, ping pong table, a small pool, slides and swings. There are two bathrooms with small sinks and cups, which is very attractive and comfortable for children. The blonde girl who runs the children's area is nice, fun and very attentive; At night they carry out children's activities in the theater, with games, music and a magic act. I highly recommend the hotel if you want the children to have fun.
On the other hand, the facilities are in good condition, but there are things to point out that can be avoided, such as the lack of toilet paper in the rooms, dirty duvets and the absence of hand towels, all of this was communicated to the maid. who solved it immediately; but if they are things that have a solution, then they are problems that guests should not encounter.
In the buffet, the attention of the staff could also be improved, I noticed a difference for the worse compared to the previous year. I would also like to mention that there were many buffet staff with the flu, and without a mask, I think that especially in this area they should wear it if they have the flu, to avoid contagion.
I found the food in general varied and of good quality.
I had a pleasant vacation and I would gladly repeat it.
I hope you take the suggestions into account.

The hotel left a negative impression. We paid extra for the most expensive room in the hotel, it’s scary to imagine what awaits vacationers in the std. rooms. This is our second time in Varadero, given our mentality we knew we shouldn’t expect anything, but the hotel still unpleasantly surprised us. There is a problem with towels in the room, they don’t give you more than one per person, even for your hands, we had to negotiate with the girl who cleaned the room, in the end there were 5 towels, but during the whole time they were never changed, no matter how much we asked or complained, All days we used dirty towels with stains. The bed was not changed even once, although we also asked and complained, all the stains on the sheet and pillow were with us the entire vacation. The room was disgusting, the shelves were dirty, the handles on the drawers were greasy and dirty, the hangers were sticky. I had one shelf that I wiped down and didn’t touch anything else. The floors were practically not washed, and there were black hairs in the corners, so they lay there for years and decades. As for the food, I absolutely don’t understand what can be praised here, it’s sad even for such an unpretentious person like me. Vegetables, yes, boiled peas, baked peas, fried peas))), were terribly boring. A tiny space where you pick up your food, it’s impossible to separate from other people in some places, it’s terribly monotonous, the fish, the same every day, really helped out, the meat was rare and tough, sometimes there was chicken, the fruits were green, it was impossible to eat, I I tried sour green pineapple for the first time in my life. I understand that food in Cuba is not its strong point, but we talked with the guys from other hotels, it seems to me that there are options even for food, this hotel is very bad. At the beginning of March, the season apparently began, there were more people, and very long queues appeared at the restaurant. There is no place to dry things in the room, which is kind of a waste to me, no blanket as such, no kettle for tea/coffee, empty minibar, water in glass reusable bottles, I didn’t drink it, I don’t know where it came from, we bought it in bottles. Wi-Fi is available even on the hotel grounds in some places and in some places on the beach; there is no Wi-Fi in the room, but it is weak. There are questions about replacing beach towels; none of the staff speak Russian. There were a few mosquitoes, there was a cold front, warm clothes came in handy in the evening. Judging by the reviews of other vacationers in Varadero, I would look for a better hotel, it does not justify the cost at all, or I would increase my status in this hotel, there is such an opportunity.

I do not recommend it to anyone and I will pass this on to my travel agency. Hotel very tired in its facilities (just arriving 1 hour to stay because the access keys to the room did not work. This is not the bad thing, it is that in the same hallway there were 4 people in the same situation. We entered and the air conditioning It was at 15 degrees and you couldn't raise or lower it, or turn it off. After complaining, they sent the technician who didn't hesitate, solved it by canceling the air in the light box and if you want to use it at 15 degrees, you go to the light box and you turn up the switch again hahahahaha, that's right!), and careless; cleaning that leaves much to be desired (bring toilet paper, which is also in short supply); the service is totally uncontrolled, the dining room and its buffet are chaos; there is a lack of food or they prepare it without control very little by little; The quality of the food is very fair, what is there at any given time, but that "moment" can be when the dining room has just opened, not that it depends on arriving late; el.perdonal works according to tips that are given or offered; There are no plates or glasses and the tables are clean.... they seat you after having used the previous ones, having wiped a damp cloth over the used tablecloth, without changing it. The remains on the floor and wait for the cleaning person to come by; The pool bar or the theater bar for the night shows is a matter of judgment: either you go with a ticket in hand or forget about the "all-inclusive" thing. They don't have glasses or they don't collect them to clean them, which means drinking in a mini plastic one. At 9 at night when the show starts, to call it something, they tell you that they no longer have a line for Cuba Libre, and they don't make it clear to you, it's over and it's over (you've seen him prepare mojitos or piña coladas and they will tell you that it is over so they can save it and decide who they give it to). A few minutes later, you can drink it and probably in a glass glass if one has arrived and especially if you go with dollars or euros (not 1 or 2 euro coins as they don't take them, so I recommend if you want to enter that game, bring dollars small bills. In short, this is not a 5-star hotel by any means, it is not an all-inclusive as such unless you only drink beers or half a beer (ahhh the fashion must be to bring you a thermos (or canteen) or buy it here, so that with a "tip" they can make you the cocktail you want and fill the entire liter. I have always thought that tips should be given when you receive good service, not as a rule and even less so when you have paid for a hotel all inclusive.
I have to say in favor of this hotel, that on the day of departure (they do not pick up at 4:00 p.m.) and the departure as usual must be at 12:00, THEY HAVE ALLOWED US, due to our complaints, not to charge us 22 eur per time to have the room available until 4:00 p.m. so we can shower and get dressed after the morning at the beach.

Hotel with lack of maintenance. Rooms smelling like mold and with dirty duvets. The shortage is general and, apparently, common to all hotels in Varadero, but in this one in particular there was a lack of towels in the rooms, replacement of toilet paper, water, bath mats, and it was not possible to exchange beach towels (already dirty) because there weren't enough of them, the air conditioning in the room broke down, as did the toilet flush. When it comes to food and drinks, it's dramatic: there aren't always eggs or butter. They only had 2 types of fruit: guava and pineapple. Juices are not natural. The pastry is inedible. Meat only chicken and pork. The pasta isn't bad, but it's the same every day. The bread doesn't seem to be fresh. There are no mojitos or piña coladas. Daquiris depends on the day and we can't even choose the flavor, it's whatever is available. There was never a shortage of beer. They also serve imitations of Coca Cola and 7up and ice is scarce. They often serve without leaving paper napkins on the table, as we have to manage stocks, and the ones they give us are small and thin. In the public bathrooms supporting the swimming pools, toilet paper is rarely available. They say that Cubans are very happy people, but that's not what we found here, quite the opposite...
It is unacceptable for an international chain to not ensure the level of service expected from a 5-star unit. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

I recently stayed at the Bella Vista hotel and there were some things that made me and the rest of my family uncomfortable as guests. We arrived before check-in time and we didn't know that if that happened we would have to pay a fortune again to be able to enjoy the hotel services except the room of course. We traveled from Havana and in order to let my parents, who are 80 years old, and a 10-year-old child go to the buffet so that I could eat something and not stay until 4 pm in those conditions, we even had to talk to the superior who He was at that moment, as if the meal had been planned and if they let them pass someone would be left without eating. I paid for a pool view room service that they did not give me. That is to say, according to the hotel representatives in the folder, there was no availability and they assigned us another type that was supposedly of a higher category but in reality that is not the case. The room had no comfort and a view of the trees. We stayed 4 nights and 5 days and they did not change our towels or sheets, not to mention toilet paper and cleanliness. I had to go to the folder on several occasions in search of answers and they never convinced me with the ones they gave me. Finally, I sat down with the public relations person and according to her they were going to give me a room on the day of departure until 3 pm in reward for my inconvenience. But every time we went before 3am to take things out and deliver they were closed. That is to say, it was also a lie. A 5-star hotel that respects the minimum changes a towel in 4 days at least once. And even complaining doesn't solve the problem. I have been lucky enough to stay in other hotels of the chain and the stay has been spectacular, such as El Selection Varadero and Ensenachos. If you sit in the lobby and are not lucky enough to get a place at the bar, do not count on them to serve you at the tables. In general the service is very bad. I can't say that the buffet is one of the worst but it can be much improved. I come back and say that a 5-star hotel where you have to pay a million dollars to go should be worth it. Anyway, why continue talking if in the end when I did it face to face with his staff it was for pleasure. I imagine this way. But I do hope that someone can read some of what I write and does not go on vacation to this hotel so that they do not suffer the same disappointment as us. It would be good if they took these opinions into account so that they can improve their services, which are ultimately their reason for existing. I hope I don't have to go through this bad experience again.

This Iberostar hotel should simply be closed. I do not explain how it is possible that they consciously market a hotel that does not qualify for tourists.
The hotel is 7 years old, and in urgent need of maintenance: beds and mattresses are uncomfortable; elevators work partially with confused messages on their boards, doors jam, and they stop on the floors for no apparent reason.

The room is aged, no armchairs on the balcony, the mirror old and deteriorated, the phone lines do not work in any room; the soap and shampoo dispensers were broken, and empty. I stop at this point, which is remarkable. How is it possible for a hotel to consciously deliver a room without shampoo or soap?
The corridor of the block in which we walked away was dirty, with no evidence of being washed.

Outside garden facilities are neglected, with trash, tall grass, dirty pool edge. There is a kind of fountain on the way from the restaurant to the pool that is without water, dangerous, because it is a major slope, and has no signage whatsoever.
On the beach were paper cups wasted by sand, coconut residues in what appeared to be a kind of makeshift garbage dump at the edge of the beach access.

Restaurants are a real disrespect to the tourist. The buffet restaurant on the ground floor doesn’t have air conditioning, or it doesn’t work which is the same, and apparently the smoke extractors don’t work either. The atmosphere is unbearable in a country with 32 degrees of temperature, and grilling fish and meat becomes even worse. It’s so hot that the ice cream melts and literally what’s available is a kind of ice cream soup.
The quality of the food is regular to bad, and the variety simply does not exist.
The snack bar has a range of burgers, pizzas, and a couple of types of sandwiches. Very poor quality and regular care of the people in charge. They serve you without passion or love for their profession. It's almost a favor they think they're doing you.
To top it off, at the Lobby bar they didn’t have enough glasses to serve, and on a high-demand schedule there was only one bartender attending.

Terrible experience we are experiencing (we are still here until Friday), and tomorrow we will do our best to leave.

I’ll start by saying I never write reviews but this one was necessary for anyone looking to book this property to avoid some of the same disappointment and frustration that we experienced.

The Cuban people are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met in my world travels. They are caring, considerate, humble and respectful. They demonstrate a love of family, music and dance in their hearts and I am touched to have met some and a few I can call friends. I want to return to this country, purely for its people, culture and music.

Our stay was at Iberostar Bella Vista, which is considered a 4.5 -5 property from November 14th to 26th, 2023 with Air Transat.
How do I even begin to describe the myriad of difficulties, frustrations and challenges?

This property has some serious management and ventilation issues. There were lots of problems in the room, including black mould on the bathroom walls and closet, dirty, mouldy fabric on chairs and cushions, no mattress covers! That is only the beginning of the hygiene fails. We had every situation from mould on the sheets and pillows to small pebbles in the rice in the main dining area. The food was extremely underrated and the staff often looked unhappy. We resorted to eating at the snack bar as the service was better and staff friendly.

We went to Havana for a few days and when we came back, the entire property had no water for several hours nor did they have soap in the washrooms throughout the resort and often no toilet paper. The lifts worked intermittently during the entire stay and we heard a lot of complaints from other guests who were disgruntled and unsatisfied. Several beach showers on the property were not working and the key cards to the rooms were also a problem.

We had serious concerns regarding sanitation which we brought up with the management and the Air Transat rep who was extremely apologetic.
We DO NOT recommend this property as quality or value for money!

I understand that Cuba is having a lot of supply issues. However, this property in particular should not be sold through any vacation provider.
What happened to our trusted vacation providers such as Air Transat, Sunwing, Air Canada Vacations?
They have let us down.

Good to start at the hotel you have plenty of stars you have.
We are an Argentine family who studied very well which hotels to come to Cuba at considerable prices obviously. We already knew that coming to Cuba would be very different than other trips we made to other ibeorestar but I think q
Some things are tolerable but others are no longer. We are currently in the hotel beautiful view and consider what we pay is not worth it.
To begin with we stayed 5 days and of which 4 days my children did not have air conditioning in the room due to faults. The room was a boiler. The phones do not work so you can not make the calls to claim what conditions you if or if you go down to the lobby to make them.
Of all the elevators that are in the hotel in the central sector work two of four, Q collapse and to go up and down is a carma.
As for the dining room and the attention to the dining room is terrible.
Food is cooked in the moment strategically so that consumption is not massive. They don't cook. You have to ask them. So to remove food you're waiting for every prey you want to eat.
You have to ask q to double you because the q portions you serve are girls. There are few table staff and as the drink is brought to you if or if you have to wait several minutes for you to come and attend and be told that they do not have sodas. Today we particularly wait 30 minutes for 8 glasses of water.
You ask for water as a drink because that's the thing. Some beer and if you're lucky some orange juice.
The dining room is a closed holder with no air conditioning without fans. And the tufo and mosquerium there is is unbearable. So strategically measured that you want to leave fast by eating as fast as possible.
Aesthetics are not bad but they could at least put into operation the elevators that are farting there.
The 24-hour law firm is open. It's near the pool. If you're lucky and they look at you, they'll take care of you in an hour. You have to sit down and wait for them to see you and take your food. Half a hair.
The guys in the animation so far some kingpins put it on.
The truth considering that we got twice as much as the stay of the tainos would return to the tainos because it ensimizes the beach of the beautiful view is small.
There are things that aren't tolerated I can't take heat shit to eat and ensima q don't serve me a glass of water fast when it's hot you catch fire.
Half a pile improve these things!
