We’re on our last day of a 3 night stay at Mystique Casa Perla and have had an amazing time - our stay has been faultless. Everything from the hotel itself to the beach, the room and the staff has been perfect.
Our room and terrace were amazing. Perfect size, well maintained and great facilities. We opted for the best stay in the junior suite with jacuzzi and large terrace. The east facing terrace gave us an ocean view, perfect sunrise and morning sun. The food was fantastic! We were slightly worried after a bad experience in Havana however can’t fault any of the meals that we’ve had during our stay. Although priced in line with what we would expect to pay in the UK, the quality exceeded and respected this.
The breakfast was lovely and served on the terrace overlooking the beach each morning. This was more than enough to see us through the day. The hotel has 24/7 room service available and handily just put towards the final bill at the end of your stay. The hotel’s location is ideal too. We found it easy enough to get about from the hotel but also found it secluded enough and away from some of the other busier areas of Varadero.
The highlight of our stay has to be the staff. We try to travel as much as possible and have stayed in a lot of different hotels across the world however the service received here has topped all of our stays at other places. Mabel was amazing throughout. Ricardo and Ronald were also absolutely fantastic - so attentive, helpful and friendly. The waitresses were exceptional and always on hand throughout. They couldn’t do enough to make sure we were comfortable and had all that we needed.
All in all we honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough! If you are looking for a more private escape to that of the more conventional, large international hotels, this is the stay for you. It’s paradise!
The perfect end to our time in Cuba and we hope to visit again soon.

The hotel is quite small, very modern and well-kept and directly overlooks the beach.
The rooms are large, comfortable, clean and well furnished.
At guests' disposal (included in the price) are a tiny swimming pool, a small gym and a sauna.
The wifi works very well and also connects to the beach.
For a fee you can also have massages.
Excellent breakfast (included).
Possibility to have lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant which has excellent quality and very affordable prices. The only precaution is to arrive in Varadero with pesos exchanged in Havana (1 euro = 250/260 pesos). This way the prices are really affordable and you can eat, for example, a wonderful lobster for around 10 euros (2,500 pesos). However, if you pay in euros or by credit card, at least a very unfavorable exchange rate is applied and consequently the prices rise significantly.
I strongly advise against going to eat around Varadero because the quality of any restaurant is terrible and the prices are very high (they all play on the exchange rate).
Finally, considering that there is absolutely nothing to do in Varadero, it is better to cross your fingers and hope that the weather is good.

Spent 5 magnificent days here in November. Everything was exceptional - the beach, the rooms, the cleanliness, the service and the food. The hotel is intimate so it felt like you had your own private beach Villa.
The rooms were very spacious and the beds comfortable. The staff were all friendly and catered to all our needs. They also frequently checked on us at the beach to ensure we had water and other beverages.
The food was amazing. By far the best we experienced in Cuba.
The hotel is on the most incredible beach. The water is crystal clear and the entire strip was always very clean, free of seaweed.
Overall, this has been one of the best trips my husband and I have taken. We will most definitely be back soon!

Overall a very positive experience and certainly one of the absolute best places within Cuba. The room was both comfortable and gorgeous, and the ocean views were phenomenal. It is wonderful to always have a quiet area of pristine beach just metres away. As others have said, you are right in the middle of town and yet it feels secluded. The sunsets are magnificent, the beach is wonderful for swimming, and star gazing at night was a romantic delight. The private excursions organized by the staff were beyond compare - personalized and memorable in the best possible ways. All of Cuba is struggling with supply chain issues re food at the moment, so limitations with the menu are to be expected literally everywhere at the present , but it seemed Mystique Casa Pearla had better options than most. Portions were ample and varied, as the staff seemed to make the most of whatever they had at hand. Within easy walking distance to several other nice spots as well. One a day when we had to cancel our outing due to choppy waters, an alternative excursion was offered and that was much appreciated. They really go the distance to make you feel comfortable and at home. I have never been at a place with butlers before but it was super helpful - they did a lot of the sorting of details for us so that we could just relax. Cuba is a bit of a quirky place but the butlers seem to know everyone and are able to really make things happen. We are home now and I know I will be missing eating my omelette, fresh fruit and herbal tea overlooking the ocean, allowing my tattered nerves to be soothed by the sound of the surf. Keep in mind that while this is one of the best places on the island, Cuba itself is still developing. A 5 star review here is not the same as a five star review in Manhattan or Paris, but the thoughtful touches and the staff’s willingness to go the extra mile really do make the place exceptional, and I have already recommended it to friends.

If you want to escape from the crowdy and noisy resorts, this is the place. Located right at the beach, with only 10 rooms, and all the facilities available. Only breakfast included but with a restaurant and a bar available 24 hours with great, well served food and drinks. Near to the shops, restaurants and clubs. The view at the terrace is amazing and the beach is beautiful. The GREAT staff will make your stay the best. Thanks to Yeny and Yitsi (waitresses), the bartenders Diago, Osiel and specially Heriberto who made the best mojitos I've ever had. Butlers Ricardo and Ronald were always around to please basically any need we had. Excellent housekeeping service also, neat and clean. Even the security guys were doing a great job. For any request Mabel, the manager is around the hotel during the day.
The only 2 things to point out are that at least our standard room didn't have a bathroom door and it was right in front of the bed, so we basically had no privacy. And about a 50% of the food and drinks from the menu weren't available, plus we never had a bottle of water in our room. We got explained that supplies were scarce and of course we understood. It would only be a shame that this things lower the high standard expected from this beautiful hotel.

Dear: I appreciate the time you have taken to share your experience at Mystique Casa Perla. Our staff works every day to provide a unique and exclusive experience to each guest, an experience MILES FROM THE ORDINARY; We are all very pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay with us. We will extend your words to all our staff. On the points you mention, the first is a design issue. The second is a problem that today affects all of Cuba, but our purchasing team works tirelessly based on it. I hope to have you back soon in our little slice of paradise. Sincerely Managing Director

A luxury place, completely new with. Incredible views of the sea, the rooms with great comfort, attentive service and great hygiene and cleanliness, the presentation of the varied and very delicious breakfast, I really enjoyed many of these days in addition to the wonderful weather in Cuba. I will return with my friends without a doubt.

We absolutely loved the Casa Perla and from experience of staying in other Varadero hotels and speaking to guests in these hotels, the Casa Perla is without doubt the best hotel in Varadero. We would like to thank Serguey, Yeni in the restaurant and Shania on reception for making our stay so wonderful. For a start it is a boutique hotel with only 10 rooms, so you get the personal service you don't get anywhere else. It looks as if the hotel has been recently decorated in the last year. The rooms are bright, modern and clean, with tv, good air con and USB ports. The Wi-Fi worked quite well. The hotel is beautifully designed to a high western standard and is white, bright and airy and has a luxurious feel and it's situated right on the beautiful sandy beach. It's perfectly located at Varadero town with its new entertainment area, shops, markets, bars and restaurants. It's US dollars/euros everywhere. Bars/restaurants will not take credit/debit cards. It's 5 minutes walk to the popular Beatles Bar and another 5 minutes to the new El Floridita bar. The breakfast was delicious and we dined in the hotel several evenings. Yuri was also very helpful as were all the staff. The hotel can change money for you. If you want anything fixed or have any issues just speak to Serguey or Yuri and they will sort it for you. Thank you guys for a wonderful holiday. Love Shaun and Cathy Cahill 🏴🇨🇺❤️❤️

AMAZING hotel and wonderful staff. Couldn't have been looked after better by the butlers Serguey and Zuri, the restaurant staff Yeni and Pavel (who makes the best Piña Colada) and the very caring cleaners who entertained us daily with their towel creations. It made our final stop of Cuba very special celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We were in Suite 7203 so had gorgeous views over the sea. Would definitely come back. The location is idyllic on a quiet stretch of beach with the clearest water I've ever seen. We arrived to a complementary bottle of Cava and left with the free option of having the room until our transfer arrived. Loved it!

I love everything, the very spacious, comfortable rooms, a luxury, the premium rooms with their Jacuzzi that gives extra value to it, the heated pool at a pleasant temperature despite the cold, the fully equipped gym with views of the beach. , the food from the abundant and varied breakfast to the high quality lunch and dinner with imported products and signature preparation. Lastly, the very professional service of the reception, the butlers and the gastronomic staff as well as the waitresses guaranteeing impeccable cleanliness, we will surely return

Attentive service in a lovely and light-filled setting with an excellent beach. Rooms are well appointed and clean. Hotel is relatively small, which avoids crowding and noisy parties. Plunge pool is small and its surrounding area a little cramped, but the beach is wide and the ocean large. Breakfast and lunch were enjoyable and there are a number of good (as far as Cuban food goes) places within walking distance serving tasty dinners. There are numerous souvenir shops nearby selling the usual trinkets, plus coffee beans, cigars and rum. Bars and music abound but the hotel rooms are quiet. Currency exchange at the hotel is less favorable than the official rate, but the helpful staff is more than willing to exchange funds at attractive grey market rates. In sum, a very relaxing place to enjoy the beach. NB: we weren’t looking for, but also didn’t see, any local artisans, art or other cultural attractions nor did there appear to be offered any ocean sports (such as deep sea fishing, scuba diving or wind surfing). Conversely, watching the pelicans dive for ocean fish was amusing.

Hello. We do not have shuttle service but when you arrive to the airport, you can pick up a taxi.
I did not see this during my stay, but you can always reach out to them directly. They’re very responsive on their social media accounts.. I used Instagram to ask a few questions prior to my trip back in August. Hope this helps.. Cheers.
