At the Be Live Experience Varadero, the staff receives high marks for their welcoming and efficient service, greatly enhancing guests' stays. While the hotel's beach and variety of food are popular among guests, some have voiced concerns about the value, highlighting overpriced excursions and food quality issues. Opinions on the rooms are divided; cleanliness and comfort are often praised, yet maintenance issues have been a point of contention.
The hotel's overall cleanliness earns compliments, but towel and linen services sometimes fall short. The lively Cuban atmosphere and activities are a hit, although signs of wear have been noted.

Amazing smaller hotel situated near Varadero Downtown ( 20min to walk, 4 min taxi drive) with a wonderful beach and beach bar open untill 17:00. The hotel offers the swimming pool with a pool bar ( open almost the whole day), kids corner. The breakfasts and dinner are usually realized in the local hotel restaurant/ cantine and lunch usually in the area near the beach. Wifi available in the whole hotel, towels changed regularly, rooms clean with AC, service and hotel personell very kind and helpful, speaking usually also English or German. In the hotel you can also find a few shops ( alco, cigars, grocery, souvenirs selling for friendly prices). Overall feeling - highly recommended.

Positive points: gorgeous beach spot, the sea is gorgeous. Animation with Federica who was very good, a wonderful person who knows how to do her job very well, excellent professionalism always available and always present, fun guaranteed, even Luigi the Cuban animator always puts a lot of enthusiasm into it. Amauri's availability, reporting some problems, immediately became involved with the facility staff to try to resolve the problem. To be reviewed cleaning and change of towels not always available entire set due to problems with the laundry, shower gel and shampoo always to be requested once finished it is not restored, our room would need maintenance, once we had a shower the corridor of the room flooded. In my opinion the beach bar closes too early (5pm)

This was the third time I have been to Cuba. 3 Novembers in a row we went to this resort. I could almost copy and paste my review from last year! It is a smaller resort, which we really like. The staff are like family, bartenders, wait staff, security and house keeping. The beach is beautiful and very close to the hotel. We walked up and down the beach and think that Las Morles has the nicest beach of any of the hotels. There were power issues in and around Varadero while we were there but it did not affect the resort at all. They must have a great back up generator. We met one of the maintenance guys one evening and he showed us what he has for tools. He had a little plastic case with a screwdriver, pair of pliers and a light bulb with wires attached to check for voltage. I am an electrician, so this guy became an instant friend. I messaged a buddy from Toronto that was headed to our resort a couple days later and got him to stop by his Home Depot and grab a new tool bag, voltage tester, multi bit screwdriver, tape measure and multi purpose pliers. Osvaldo was so appreciative! Since our stay last year the hotel is no longer a Be Live hotel, it is now Gran Caribe. With that I think they are still going through some struggles, although during our stay we could tell they were working hard at improving things. Everyday the painters were out, they were getting more cups, glasses and food choices during our stay. The activity staff aren't the same contracted group as years past but the people they have now are trying and really good at getting people involved. We do miss Luigi though! Just like last year, we brought spices, peanut butter, soy sauce and ketchup (we had a German guy ask us for some Hienz when he saw we had it :)) It is not a "5 star" hotel but the staff and beach make it our first choice when planning our Cuban holiday! We hope to be back for our 4th year in a row vacation to see our friends again; Xenia, Miriam, Yoel, Raynoldo, La Mora and all the rest of the staff!!

We stayed (unfortunately! we wanted to return sooner) two weeks at this dilapidated structure which does not reflect its 4 stars at all (maybe not even 2!). Old and poorly maintained rooms and common areas (leaks, mold and patches here and there - I attach photos). Linen (shower towels and sheets) worn, stained, holey and smelly. Beach towels are unavailable, they can be changed once a day from 9am to 5pm, but it hasn't always been so easy to change them. We certainly didn't expect to eat as if we were at home, but neither did we expect to suffer from hunger for two weeks. The only buffet present always offers the same things, we always preferred to eat outdoors because inside the restaurant it was always full of flies (I attach photos!) It has never happened to us elsewhere that we were unable to have a decent breakfast, yoghurt was unacceptable (dirty water - served in a jug) - no biscuits/jams/simple croissants. We recommend bringing a pack of biscuits from home, you won't go wrong. Snack bar open from 11am to 5pm which did not always have food available (burger eaten only once in two weeks). At the snack bar you can only find: fruit, chips (with unreasonable waits considering the few people present), egg/ham sandwiches. It is not possible to get a drink yourself at the restaurant, when the waiters finish the drink they take the (dirty) glass back and go to fill it (wouldn't it be better to do it yourself to be sure that the glass is yours?) To reach the room (4th floor) in addition to the elevator in terrible condition, we had to cross a nauseating corridor. What was sold to us and how much we paid absolutely does not correspond to the services found on site. NOT RECOMMENDED.

- [ ] Worst hotel ever. Never again. I strongly advise everyone against it. The staff is very unfriendly and does not like working. Changing bath towels should be possible every day from 09.00-17.00, but this is not the case. With a bit of luck it opens at 09.40h and even then there is often no one behind the counter who can change the towels. You can only get the parasol on the beach on insistence and the responsible employee, who is supposed to set it up, practically always hides. Then when you get one yourself to put it up, you get spit on. In the lobby bar you are initially ignored and the locals get priority, even though they are not guests at all. Fans are also missing, so it gets unbearably hot in the lobby. There is not much choice when it comes to food, but this is understandable for Cuba. What is bad is that the local and staff also eat during the meal of the hotel guests. They usually eat everything away and then they don't stock up anymore. You can't let water out anywhere in the facility yourself, not even while eating. You always have to wait for the employees to ask you what you want. Here we were always ignored, so we had already eaten when they finally asked us. But the hotel would be practically empty. At the beginning we had a room where the toilet door did not close. Have then demanded and received another. The bed linen was never changed during our stay of 2 weeks! The room is quite old, which is understandable, but why must it be so dirty? I advise everyone against this hotel. Especially the way the employees dealt with us greatly displeased us and sometimes shocked us.

This was our third experience at the hotel. Like the last time, we went as a family and stayed in three rooms, two for two people and one for 4. In general, our stay was quite good, we go with a clear mentality and expectations of the shortcomings and difficulties of the country, and therefore of the hotel. By this I mean that we are searching and fortunately we continue to find what fundamentally characterizes this hotel, tranquility (which we value a lot), excellent human quality and attention from its staff (for the most part), beautiful beach (logically) and correct quality-quality ratio. - price. Now, the not so positive and that is fair to point out since for us it would be the minimum in which they should improve: the bath towels (all), body, hands and mat; There was a shortage of all of them, in addition to the fact that they were damaged, perhaps clean, but they looked dirty, the beach ones looked and felt cleaner, similar with the bedding. In some cases, you also had to ask the waitresses as a favor if They could leave us some additional towels. On the other hand, the drinks at the buffet could be colder, literally, please, at least they could put ice, the hygiene in the restaurant could also improve, salt shakers, sugar bowls (I think there were one or two for the entire restaurant, for favor). The food we can say was quite correct although our objective is not to go to eat at the hotels, perhaps the preparation of some dishes could be improved, a little disappointed with the Italian chef in charge of the pasta, my daughter was greatly disappointed thanks to him Well, where we live here in Asia they make pasta better and we haven't been to Masterchef. The other thing, and what I think everyone comments on, is that it's good that the hotel is oriented to the Italian market, but if there are only a couple of them in the hotel, come on, you can't limit certain services or activities only for Italians when the majority of The guests are Cuban or European (not Italian), the mini club is only for Italian children, really? The animation was quite correct, congratulations to the magicians. But I reiterate, in general we were very pleased with almost everything, during our stay we learned of other, much more expensive hotels that barely had eggs or bread for breakfast, in this one there was never a shortage :-). So thank you again Las Morlas and let's see if we see you on the 24th, don't lose what makes you special.

1st time I've been to Cuba. My spouse and I went for 15 days and stayed at the Hotel villa Cuba. We had a great time! The staff was great and helpful, lots of fun! Games at the pool in the afternoon and shows in the evening. They even had a Canadian night special dining experience that we were invited too with lobster! Yummm!! Food was good, definitely different than Canadian but remember where you are going and try to experience their life there. They do not have a lot, and the tourists basically get everything first. If you like condiments, bring them with you in your suit case as they are not always available. Peanut butter, jam, cheez whiz, etc....I did find the public washrooms nasty most of the time even though the staff was in there cleaning all the time. People could not seem to poop in the toilet straight...that's bad, ignorant travelers! Immodium or pepto bismal or ginger gravol is a must, everyone gets the runs there! Bring soaps, little bars or squirt as soap seems to be limited in the public bathrooms. Make sure you bring your travel cup for your drinks and cocktails as the plastic cups are small and you will be hitting the bar a lot. Pool and deck was clean. The beach was beautiful! sand like flour, clean sand and beautiful clean water. We stayed in one of the smaller walk up buildings. loved the location to the pool and the beach. Beds were a little old and need replacing but realistically you aren't in your room much. They also have villas there, those looked like they would be fun to stay in. We met lots of wonderful people there and are keeping in contact with. We will be going back again in November. Thinking 3 weeks this time! Cheers!

We were actually booked into the BeLive Turquesa, but unfortunately it was still closed for renovations and we were rebooked into the Las Morlas. What must be said is that you need to know the situation in Cuba before you travel here. It is not comparable to other countries where you can also go on all-inclusive holidays. The Las Morlas is a small, cozy hotel right at the beginning of Varadero. You can easily walk into the center, which has huge advantages as you save a lot of taxi costs :) Everything is a bit old and needs to be renovated urgently, a lot of the furniture is very worn and the bathrooms are really just a disaster, there is no other way to put it. The rooms themselves are cozy and modern but there is rust, stains and signs of wear everywhere. There is mold in the hallway and the hotel itself is in need of renovation. The pool area and the garden are always well looked after and very clean, and are also very cozy and beautiful. The whole staff is just great, everyone there does their best and we felt very comfortable and would like to say thank you again to the whole Las Morlas team :) Unfortunately our room didn't have such a nice view, we were in the corner so unfortunately no pool view or anything like that, we wanted to change our room because the bathroom was also very bad but unfortunately that wasn't possible because the hotel was already fully booked, but we accepted it and were relatively satisfied in the end, you really only sleep in the hotel. :) You just have to know that you are in Cuba, there are days when there is no bread or eggs etc. The food itself is OK but Cuba is not exactly the best ;) What we really missed was some entertainment. There was a mini team that did a little shop in the evenings but unfortunately there were no sporting activities like aqua gym fitness etc., especially because there is not much to do in Varadero in the evenings it would be great if the hotel offered something :) Otherwise we were satisfied and would recommend Las Morlas ;) It would be urgently necessary to renovate the bathrooms and replace some of the furniture (hotel lobby etc.) but Cuba simply does not have the resources for that so we fully understand the situation. You won't go wrong with the Las Morlas, you just have to be aware of which country you are travelling to ;) PS little tip: take wet toilet paper with you, that saved us as there is little toilet paper and take thermos cups for drinks so you don't support those plastic cups that unfortunately fly around everywhere on the beach as holidaymakers don't have any rubbish bins. ;)

I stayed in this resort, which I would not give more than 2 stars, in the month of August and except for the sea and the beach which are truly beautiful, Federica and all the staff who are very nice and try to involve all the guests, the the rest is truly "embarrassing". Dated structure, indecent rooms (dirty curtains, broken tiles, doors and accessories, dirty and smelly towels (when they arrive)). The bars both on the beach and in the main building have dilapidated furnishings (but at least friendly waiters). The restaurant always offers the same things and not even good ones. Sorry, but not even the Italian "cook" (if I were a chef I would be offended) can be called such. To eat something decent you have to go out and with what it cost the stay is absurd. Not to mention that more than once cockroaches have been spotted wandering around on the bread and cakes as well as in the rooms. Who knows what's in the kitchen!!!! In summary, Veratour should refund their customers by apologizing for the armed robbery they suffered.

Less than five minutes to the beach. Beach is clean and no one hassles you. The activity crew and catamaran guys are not aggressive at all. Xanadu is a couple of kilos away near Plaza America mall and conference centre. $10 cab ride or hop on the bus at $5 per person.
Also, hotel is just 20 minutes walk away from Varadrro whrre redtaurants will have parties for sure. So once the hotel oarty ends you can get together with the guests from the hotel and continue in Varadero.
There are more places to choose from in the Varadero area.
