Honest and truthful review! - hotel rooms You need to leave a note or else they never put water in the fridge. The bedsheets have either a stain or a hole in them. Out of 5 days we were here we only got clean shower towels twice! They picked up old towels put never put in clean ones! Therefore we had to dey ourselves after our shower with our dirty beach towels!! They never broom the floors! So dirty! And give you 1 roll of toilet paper! Don't understand why they can't give extra. So if your reading this... be advised of all these points!!!!! -the resort The place is nice.. very long pools.. people are friendly.. entertainment is good. Food?? Well it's cuba! Food is never great but u won't starve.

Very friendly staff! Odette and her team offer great animation. Ask Lyvia for the best piña coladas and Lisandro for a great service at the table. You will enjoy a wonderful time at the pool+ beach and a stunning sunset at the lobby right in front of the infinity pool facing the ocean. Lovely place.

Well all I can say to the people on here who say this resort is fantastic you are all being paid to say it , what a shower of s….. this resort is . Soulless hotel , daily even during the day run out of food drinks , no wine even beer shortage on number of occasions, buffet food is dire , lukewarm and disgusting , the ques for cooking stations rediculous serving one person at a time with umpteen empty grills infront of them , takes hours , no beef at all in the resort . Al a carte restraints a joke frozen veg and rice with chicken or pork in every one , most items on there menus not available. Can’t believe TUI send people here , change your booking to somewhere else at all costs please , this cost us more than a Riu in Mexico last time absolutely no comparison. Evening no seating anywhere around the resort apartment from the lobby bar that shuts whenever staff feel like it 10:30 pm !!! Sent us to the beach bar on a freezing cold night saying go there for a drink its basically a shed , no beer , vodka gin only Havana club , Absolutely livid with TUI , spoke to the TUI rep who just shrugged and said sorry it’s because of covid . Well TUI knows the situation as everyone were complaining but still sending people here . Absolutely livid

2 star holiday at 5 star price. Paying extra to go premium waste of time. Better lunch in standard beach snack bar. Not much difference between the 3 supposedly different alacarte restaurants. We were miss sold this holiday and disappointment doesn't begin to cover it. Tried to complain to TUI rep seems this was also a waste of time

Went last year at the same time and overall the experience was better in 2023 but after staying at a different resort in December I’m seeing where this one lacks. Had a really hard time getting bottled water. First night one small bottle in fridge. Second day 3 small bottles for 3 people and so on. Had to constantly ask other areas of the resort for water. Coffee was extremely inconsistent at every location. Either it was coloured water or very strong. Rarely in between. Ran out of beer. Asked for cola and couldn’t get any at pool bar meanwhile we pointed out on the cart a whole case of it and they wouldn’t give us any. Lineups for omelettes in the morning took approx 20 min or longer. Overall food was lacking. Trust me I give Cuba a lot of grace as I do understand shortages etc. We are very spoiled. However it’s very obvious that some resorts are priority as our last resort never ran out of anything. Ran out of plates a few times and had to wait. Toasters only toasted after running bread through 5 times. Yes we counted. Our toilet ran loudly constantly. We reported it to the lobby desk but no one ever showed up. My husband stuck a straw under the flap at night to stop it so we could sleep. We kept the lid off the tank the entire week just so we could access the inside to fix it ourselves. Our shower leaked onto the floor like crazy and we ended up sacrificing a pool towel just to help the bathroom not flood. We had two shower towels for 3 ppl. I also told this to the desk and never had it resolved. The furniture in the room is in very bad shape and even more so since last year. The beds are very old and uncomfortable. The sheets had stains and were not changed the whole week. Our cleaner was VERY sweet but our room was never properly cleaned. There was a cockroach in our bathroom and I had one crawl up my chair leg and into my shorts at the buffet. To be honest - the bug part doesn’t bother me as I feel like that’s part of the climate. The snack bar at night only had one item on their menu. Honestly overall everyone was very disappointed. Most of the things with this resort are not a supply issue they are an effort issue. The potential for this place is huge. The beach and grounds with a bit of effort would be beautiful. The location is great. You can just tell that no one cares anymore and that’s pretty sad. I normally don’t complain but for how expensive this resort still is and them calling themselves a 4.5 star resort I’m willing to complain. We don’t plan on coming back here again unfortunately.

The structure of the hotel was good being a complex with a number of 3 story blocks set round the pools, green spaces, even mini woods. The furniture inside our room was in poor condition. A sliding wardrobe door had separated from its runner, took them 3 days to fix it and then it dropped off again after 2 days; reported it again twice but it was not repaired again. The drawers had a handle chiselled out only on one edge, opening a 3 foot drawer with only your fingertips on one edge is difficult. The plug for the fridge was extremely loose and took some fiddling to get it properly connected The water just managed to fall out of the oversized showerhead. For breakfast you normally had to queue for at least 15 minutes for an omelette, fried egg or pancake, rarely had any bacon or butter. The bread at breakfast was obviously the leftovers from the day before. My wife cannot drink alcohol or fizzy drinks so was disappointed to find out ther was no orange or pineapple juice. They had nicely printed labels for the food but these were frequently obviously incorrect. There were sparrows nesting in the buffet restaurant. We only had 2 evening meals in the buffet restaurant then booked a meal in one of the 4 A la Carte restaurants for the rest of the holiday. Unfortunately we had to use the buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Only the Italian was any good, couldn’t tell the difference between the menus in the other 3. The restaurants ran out of wine and beer on a number of occasions. Couldn’t get a decent cup of coffee at any of the bars. Entertainment was repeated on a weekly rota so 2nd week was boring.

Here now and only wishing I was back home. If you have booked I’d seriously ask to have your holiday moved. The location is beautiful. The hotel seriously run down. The main pool area is filthy, with fag ends weeds and green slime. The floor around the area has never been jet washed or brushed. There is no ground workers doing maintained it’s filthy. When we first arrived we were in block 3. We had no beach towels and the shower didn’t work. After 3 days of complaining they finally moved us. The rooms aren’t bad, clean and spacious. The don’t expect the sheets to be changed and no hand towels, infact if you get a towel to shower your lucky. The bed is like a brick. So don’t expect a nice comfy sleep. Now the food, if you can call it that is awful, honestly I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. Breakfast I have toast that had to go throw the toaster ten times to get any colour, and butter if you’re lucky. The buffet is poor and all the restaurants have the same food just platted different. On they the 3rd night I woke to sound of my partner throwing up. The hotel runs out of beer wine daily. How TUI can say this is a 4/5* hotel and take nearly £4000 of my money is wrong. They miss sold a holiday and I will be looking for a refund.
