This is a basic guesthouse with inexpensive rooms and friendly staff. Exactly what we needed in Roseau. We stayed for 2 nights in room 4, located next to the kitchen. It had a private bathroom just down the hall. The price was $49.50 US. We arrived at 8:30 am and were able to leave our bags for the day. While...

I stayed with Ma Bass one night in Low Season. Hotel was centrally located and very clean. Rooms and amenities were basic but with a homey touch. The elderly Ma Bass herself was very friendly and tried to help out with advice. The rooms are cheap (I paid 45 USD/night) and there is a guest kitchen for the traveller that...

We stayed with Ma Bass for four days in April. We loved the neatness and cleanliness of her guesthouse, and the kindness of Ma Bass and her family. Ma Bass takes a personal interest in her guests, and seeks to help them coordinate their plans. I wish after the fact I had asked for more help in planning a boiling...

There is a nice atmosphere, be patient with Ma bass. Good location, close super market and restaurants. You can safe some money by cooking on the kitchen. Roseau is a good base to visit the south of Dominica and Roseau valley.

The two travellers we were were very happy to find Ma Bass in the quite expensive Roseau - inside the islands, prices are way lower. But Ma Bass knows how to take care of her hosts. She's always looking to make sure you have everything you need. She helps you with bookings, visits or whatever you need. You can use...

MaBass Guest House has been built by hand by her husband and is maintained by her with lots of love and care. We felt very well taken care of and had some nice conversations with her. I absolutely recommend staying. Its close to the harbour in the middle of the city and close to the collective taxis that bring you...

A sweet, elderly couple served as our hosts at this very centrally-located guesthouse in the capital city. Their grandson checked us in (we had reservations), and Mr. Bass greeted us almost every night upon our return from local adventures. Mr. Bass built the house himself, many years ago, and they still live on-site. Prices are very reasonable, and vary based...
