We have no experience with the rooms, only with the dive center. Our lodging host in Dominica recommended a dive center in Salisbury and against diving here, based on his personal diving experience, but said he would be interested to know if we could confirm his impressions. We should have listened. We went here only because they offer whale watching...

Ok first of all the diving is spectacular. The diving equipment is not but whatever real divers only need air (sometimes). The whale watching rocks! Those of you that were on board complaining of not seeing plenty of whales...you suck...they are wild freakin animals give thanks you got to see them at all....what do you want them to do follow...

Uncomfortable beds, stark, dirty, and cheap interior of the rooms with a mediocre view of the ocean and dirty, rocky beach. No soap or shampoo in the room so bring your own. Wi/fi doesn't reach any of the rooms. The beach is rocky and covered in garbage and wild dogs. The hotel staff seemed annoyed to help out with anything...

I just got back from a fabulous week in Dominica with a High School Group. The Anchorage could not have been a more perfect place for us to stay. Firstly due to a flight delay we did not arrive until nearly midnight with some tired and hungry teens. We were greeted at the airport by a driver with a menu...

We arrived on a thursday where we were welcomed in a very nice atmosphere. There was a live band playing and singing local music and coverage of other worldwide known songs and we had a very good tasting meal. The rooms were quite big and with sight on the sea, nice to have a coffee in the morning with the...

This was my fourth trip to Dominica, an island I love. It is off the Caribbean tourist beaten path. Dominica is a day island with most visitors interested in hiking, diving or going to their great spas. Roseau, like the rest of the island, feels safe by today's standards, and the people are generally helpful and friendly. A local friend...

Obviously a shortage of hotels leading to an absurd prize. They think they can compete with fort young! but it is far from that.. Continental breakfast means toast with jam and coffee, everything else you have to pay extra...rooms are outdated, noise from a drill all afternoon. If you want to pay high prices, go to Fort Young, there you...

Let's start with the good. The Anchorage hotel is run by some of the nicest people. I was with a fairly large dive group and we basically took over this fairly small hotel. The size of the group is a key piece of information because it highlights how different each of our experiences were with the same hotel. Some of...

Bar staff wonderful: Loro, very accommodating. Covered lounge over looking the Caribbean. Rooms are a little Spartan, but very clean. Breakfast sometimes includes cut up hot dogs with onions, passed off as sausage. The coconut bread is excellent for breakfast. Beautiful sunsets.
