They have 2-3 bedroom options that include kitchen and terrace. 2 pools that you can decide on and a beach that is the best on the playa Dorada coast. Early morning sims are awesome and the best time- they're barely any waves.

We’ve reserved a two bedroom but got a one bedroom apartment. There are mandatory surcharges for food $50/person with the same 6-7 dishes menu every single day. Alcohol and drinks other than coke are not included. Uh… in addition, breakfast IS NOT INCLUDED in those $50 per person per day. There is no grocery shopping anywhere close. We went to some bodega and bought 4 eggs for the price of golden eggs. There’s also mandatory surcharge for cleaning $75 per person a day! BUT! They only give you 2 towels. I had to come and scream at them to get more towels. There’s no shampoo, no body wash, no literally ANYTHING! There’s also a mandatory surcharge for electricity of $100. All and all, if you add up everything together it’s going to be a very expensive stay of over $1,000 per person. You can multiply it by the number of people in your group. In addition, there’s really nothing here at the Rivera Azul - no sports, no gym, no entertainment, no spa, really NOTHING. If you need anything you need to look elsewhere and it’s not easy - there’s literally no directions for anything. I didn’t give it a single star because I liked the ocean and the beach. Everything else leaves much to desire.

I highly recommend having a spanish speaker with you! Change your money to pesos they overcharge if u dnt as a whole country. If you get the mandatory meal plan (lunch & dinner only.) here its only a small portion of food from the menu you can get but they do not tell you that! AND you only get 1 drink with dinner! They charged us when wen 1st go there for our meal plan and housekeeping fee, which they didnt clean 3 out of the 7 days we stayed smh. Then wen we were checking out they said we had to pay an additional almost $300 cause they didnt charge us for 1 night of meal plan and housekeeping. Since we told them they didnt even clean out room the day before they charged us $100 for the meal plan. Then at dinner 1 night me and my bf ordered food from our "special menu" as they put. I ordered steak and he ordered seafood paella both on our menu, they tried to make us pay $30 for the steak saying the paella was for 2 people! Room was nice but old, had mildew smell. Had full kitchen so we went to the local market for breakfast food, pool was decent. Resort was a lil crowDed over the weekend but during the week we had the pools and beach to ourself. No activities to do at this place either, its literally jus 2 pools, nice beach views and the rooms. TOTAL SCAM DO NOT DO IT!

Apt #1104 - mosquito infested and apt location is not secure (bottom floor). Stayed here for 7 months. It has extreme mosquito and fly problems and drain bugs that will freak you out, so you will not have a peaceful vacation. I posted a photo of the mosquitoes in my balcony 🤢 I was quite traumatized by this experience. And if that's not bad enough, during Semana Santa, when the whole country parties and celebrates, strangers were coming into my balcony moving my patio chairs. I reported it to the office and security, but I don't think they understand the concept of "trespassing". Few weeks later they still can't explain to me who or what. I have slept with the light on ever since. It wasn't captured by cameras so you can imagine how inadequate the security system is (or lack of cameras). So if you value safety / security and not get bit by mosquitoes (possible dengue), I don't recommend this apartment at all.

Great Time Very Relaxing DeYanira the manager of the hotel was most helpful and made it so enjoyable. Ramon (Restaurant Manager) and Bryas (Asst Mgr) were very friendly and made our meals that much more enjoyable. Joygersy and Edilicia the servers were also very helpful. Beautiful complex for quiet and rest . Pool is lovely . Stayed in a gorgeous Airbnb which we would come back too. Steps to the beach but was disappointed about how much garbage there was on the beach . There is a group that try to clean each day but it’s a big task as it happens daily . Only 15 mins from airport and easy to get groceries at jumbo . 10$ cab ride

This place is basically an apartment complex with a pool. You are renting an apartment. Every apartment is different depending on the owner. The room that we saw online must have been a model apartment but nothing like what we got. The meal plan is a joke! Lunch and dinner included but the same menu in one small restaurant. There are only 4 entrees on the menu. The pizza was the only thing that was edible. The “drink menu” was rum and coke only. Only one drink per meal. NO entertainment and no food drink music etc at the pool. Definitely not a place to go for a family vacation! After 2 days of arguing with management about misrepresentation we left and went to an all inclusive resort and enjoyed the rest of our vacation.

Riviera Azul is amazing. We stayed for three months last winter. Absolutely loved it. The pools are clean and huge. The beach is very spacious and always clean. The office staff was so helpful and accommodating. The restaurant on site has many delicious options. The location is great, near the golf course and several other restaurants.

Beautiful apartment complex, great for families, two huge pools, just opened their restaurant yaboa, good food. Has the best strip of beach of all playa dorada, very good security, a lot of parking available, i love goint to riviera azul!!
