I've stayed here a few times. Amazing views, great staff. good location. The rooms are a bit out-dated though. You can have breakfast included and dinner as well. Of course it's more. They do have a restaurant and a massage place, both a pretty good. Once I even stayed in their "Apartments". Very spacious with a living room. The stove didn't work, but the microwave did.

This is a nice hotel, and the guy at the front desk by the name of Francis, could not have been nicer or more helpful. He went way out of his way and did more than he had to. He upgraded us to a very nice King Suite. I would not hesitate to stay here again

This must have been a beautiful resort... 30 years ago. It is so outdated. So many places were closed with broken brick, mold from running water and no lights in lighting fixtures outdoor. The view is amazing that is why it has 3 stars. They need a good cleaning and fixing up. The pools were cloudy and dated along with the so called swim up bar. The guy at the front desk is beyond helpful but still would not stay here again.

I arrived at the Victorian House on October 15th and stayed for five glorious days. My buddy and I made our arrangements with Milka prior to our arrival. She was great in that she arranged for wonderful rooms with a view of Sosua Beach. The rest of the staff were very nice and ensured that we enjoyed our stay. My room was large with a huge balcony. I could not have asked for more. I enjoyed dining for breakfast every morning at their restaurant. The food was good and the service was great. I look forward to returning for another stay there in the near future.

My friends and I stayed at the Victorian House Hotel overnight one Saturday during a trip to Sosua. I am glad that our stay was not longer than that, because the property the hotel is on (which includes other resort buildings under the same management) was COMPLETELY deserted. The hotel was so under-capacity that services like the pool bar and theater were abandoned. Even though it was a weekend in June, we only saw five or six other guests throughout our stay. It might sound nice to have private access to a resort like this, but the underuse was reflected in the condition of the hotel. Major problems: -The pool was so heavily chlorinated that it dyed my skin green (!!!) and ruined my white bathing suit permanently. - Our room, a standard 2-full bed, had dust and cobwebs in the corners. - The shower flooded the entire bathroom anytime it was used. - There were only two bath towels in the room. - The management refused to honor the included breakfast deal we purchased with our reservation. Very frustrating. Overall the hotel didn't meet my expectations but at least it gave us access to a great beach.

I call this is a perfect "Staycation" because I had a hard time not staying at the hotel. The Victorian House Hotel offers beautiful ocean view rooms for an almost "I Feel Guilty Price" From the moment I entered the lobby I felt like royalty and that I was about to stay at a palace in a foreign country somewhere. I have traveled to alot of places worldwide and this hotel by far is the best. With its best view, best food, and best service of friendly staff to serve you, to stay somewhere else would be a crime against yourself. This hotel is not just for one particular group of people, whether your on business, with the family, with your significant other, or by yourself, THIS HOTEL IS FOR YOU! When I found out the new hotel owner (who happens to be a very friendly guy, who will walk around and speak to all of his guests unlike other hotels in the area), had gotten Big D's BBQ to come up and base his operation out of the hote,l I said this Hotel has now become the new No Brainer Hotel in Sosua, Puerta Plata. Other gifts of the hotel is the Sports Bar downstairs, free breakfast, a small little beach area that has 24 hour access a short walk away, WIFI, and an outstanding location with an all inclusive gym right across the street with boxing equipment and a basketball court, casino, grocery and liquor store, and Sosua Beach a stone throw away. When I return to Sosua, Puerta Plata again, I will ensure that the concierge gets me out of the hotel on the ATV Tour or the Waterfalls Tour. The owner told me that he will be upgrading the cable in the room so that will make it even harder to avoid staying at the hotel and sleeping out on my balcony with the sounds of the ocean rocking me to rest. Victorian House Hotel Is The New Hot Hotel In Sosua. Dont Make A Mistake And Stay Somehwere Else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was my first time in Puerto Plata. I stayed in a Jr. Suite. Beautiful view of the beach and mountains in the far distance day and night. I loved it. The food was really good and at a reasonable price. Everything was in walking distance. The staff were friendly. Had a great time. This is not a place for family and your kids. But it is the best place in world for a man. Unbelievable.

Hotel and staff are great..stayed in 3 different rooms and all were great....food was some of the best I had on Island if you like home cooked food. Pool was great and always felt safe on property...missed flight and staff assisted me in hotel room and transportation to airport...property is in mist of updating certain sections so construction is daily..rooms are decorated in white and hard to believe how clean the linen, sheets, towels are kept. white
