Our group of 30 arrived at Puerto Plata Lifestyle Holiday in the early morning hours of December 27, 2024. We were supposed to have one villa and 5 Presidential Suites. The staff informed us that due to rain in the last couple of weeks our accommodations would be changed. The group that was supposed to be in one large villa was put in 2 smaller villas that were flooded and had standing water on the floors in several areas. The group that was supposed to be in the Presidential suites was put into separate rooms in the Cofresi Palm part of the resort. All of the people placed in the Cofresi palm part of the resort had to switch rooms at least 2 times as the rooms they were placed in were in major disrepair. The rooms looked like they were being shut down for renovations, the pool was even empty in front of the buildings. The last of the group was not in their final room until 8 PM, 15 hours after our arrival. There was no hot water for the entire week stay. They would not let you dine in the restaurants you wanted, instead they made reservations where they wanted to put you. We did not get to eat dinner in any of the VIP restaurants at all for the entire week and we had VIP wrist bands. The food was subpar and most of the facilities were in disrepair. Check in and VIP services did nothing to assist anyone and were rather rude. They wouldn't even let one family in our group eat until after they paid the all-inclusive rate. They were hesitant to pay as they saw the condition of the rooms that others were placed in.
