I've just returned from spending 2 weeks at SunCampDR and I can't wait to return! I was a little nervous about going somewhere so different especially as I was travelling alone but my fears soon vanished the moment I arrived. I was made to feel very welcome by everyone there and it had the feeling of being one big family...

I was here with friends for three weeks while we vacationed in the Dominican Republic. SuncampDR was an amazing place to stay. The people were very friendly and helpful and the nature around it is very nice. There is a nice bend in the river that flows by it, which forms a nice pool in which you can swim. It...

I wanted a place to volunteer and learn English. My family is not really into the resort thing, and wanted the opportunity to really see Dominican culture. This place was sooo perfect, we can't wait to go back! The owner (Diane) and her son (Samuel) are so nice and welcoming! The atmosphere was extremely laid-back, which is a welcome change...

I had amazing time here. The people are friendly and warm. The location is very peaceful. No cars and motor Conchos, loud music etc. The y have everything you could possibly require. Cool clean river to swim in. Great food in a open area so you can socialize with other guest if you wish. Quiet relaxing rooms at more than...

We wanted a more local and authentic experience during our travels in the DR and SunCamp provided it. From the eclectic people that stay here, to the location off the beaten path, to great home cooked meals in shared company with the other guests, dragging the owners dancing to the local 'club' (a room in a house with locals dancing...

The happiest memories of my life is when I had an extended stay at SunCampDR. Lazy walks along a country road and to the river where I sat and meditated along its shore. I had a room next to that very river and was awakened with the sounds of it flowing by. The rooms and apartments are simple and affordable....

Discovering Diane's commitment to the unbeaten path was a true treasure. As she has combined her love for helping the helpless with the extended beauty of a lush land, and a comfortable selection of individually tailored rooms for rent. Experiencing not only the jungle views, sounds, and community within the protected gates of Sun Camp DR, but also the closeness to a...

I had been to the Dominican 3 times and stayed in the resorts or nice hotels. On my 4th trip to the DR I had the pleasure of staying at SuncampDR for one month. The accomodations are exactly as described. Everything you need is in your apartment for cooking or you can eat at the Papagayo (restaurant) and leave the...
