If this was located in the US, I would give it a horrible review. However, since it was located in a place where they are trying to do the best that they can, I will give it an average review. We stayed here for 2 1/2 weeks and got a great deal. It was all inclusive with the meals provided....

My wife and I stayed here for one night. We have been visiting Haiti frequently since the earthquake for humanitarian reasons. We decided to visit San Pedro de Macoris in the neighboring Dominican Republic. We were given a room on the second floor and we decided to take the elevator. The lift mechanism was so creaky and we heard a...

No towels at all. Had to ask twice then my husband had to go and shout at the reception to get the only spare towel they had. The air conditioner licked on the floor.Lot of noise from the malecon. Our children could not sleep. Had to ask for another room. Was given a smaller room. Ash in the bathroom. Stinked...

I found the Howard Johnson in San Pedro De Macoris, Dominican Republic to be far nicer than any other HoJo's I'd previously stayed in. The lobby was large and well decorated for the holidays and the staff was kind and helpful when the travel company forgot to reserve the room for us. A friend and I were there a total...

The staff was very hostile to Americans. Housekeeping did not even leave fresh towels when they cleaned the room. I had to track someone down to ask for them. The rooms were terrible. The pillows were made of flat yellow foam, the blankets had holes in them, and the doors didn't lock properly. It was a dump.

We found this hotel in a rainy night on the way to Santo Domingo. The room was clean and equipped with a fridge. The bathroom was very bright and with hot water, bathtub, hairdryer and sufficient towels. For a good and comfortable sleep was the bed too noisy. The dinner wasnt really good as well as the service of the...

There was no running water in my room, lucky for me that my sister was staying in the room across from my room. When I asked for my room to be changed I was told that someone with the keys to my new room to help me and no one ever showed up. I went to the front desk to...

San Pedro de Macoris is a poor town, and definitely not tourist central. I like to think of the hotel as a fading beauty. It must have been something grand in the 60s and the 70s but it is now in decline and situated in a poor neighborhood. The rooms are nothing fancy, but are kept clean. There's a pool...
