I have Stayed at Both Riu Place and Macao Place and I can honestly say I Had, if not a better time at the Riu Bambu then both Places. Entertainment staff : Ajay, D Green, Super Minnie, Agent David 0008 there the BEST! Always getting...More
My best friend and I went on a 5 day trip to Riu Bambu. It is very budget friendly. Riu has a level system- one property with 5 resorts sprawling across it, getting fancier as you go. Bambu is budget. Our room was SO FAR...More
Me and my girlfriend booked a ten-day holiday at the resort (our first time at a Riu) and we didn't want to leave.
Firstly, I can't believe the bad reviews on here? I think TripAdvisor has become a forum (Like Facebook) to get the negative...More
This hotel provides the basic hotel room (bed, TV, shower, toilet, sinks) with no upgrades. I have stayed at Sandal Resorts and Palace resorts and the Riu Bambu is no where near as nice as them. We paid for an "updated" room and it looked...More

You can walk on the other properties but you cannot utilize any facilities except Naiboa. The resort is 5 hotels next to each other- you can use facilities down but not up. Bambu is 2nd tier. This resort uses arm bands so they know which resort you belong to. I would honestly pay the money to go one resort level up. Because then you get room service. Bambu has no room service. It was good for a five day vacation to get away from the snow, but if you’re looking for luxury I would go with Dreams La Romana. It’s on the Caribbean side so there’s no seaweed, no sandflies and the water is much warmer. Have a great vacation!
