We flew in to celebrate my son finishing elementary and my niece graduating college. We were greeted with drinks and smiles. Our concierge Marino was amazing- he met us at reception as we checked in and made sure we had his number(WhatsApp in case we needed anything. He checked in on us daily (multiple times) and was always there to answer any question I had. Karen was also fabulous. Food was good, security was present always, activities and nightly shows were great! TwentyNine (staff) was great, there’s a reason for his name and he really connects with kids that love athletics, my son looked for him daily! The resort was amazing but the people/staff truly made the stay enjoyable for us! You can stay in resorts anywhere but the people here really made this a worthwhile trip for us!…
We stayed in May family of 4 with my daughters ages 5 and 8. We have visited other all inclusive resorts in PC as well as other AMR resorts and this by far was the best facility we have stayed in. The resort is very clean and all staff were welcoming and helpful. We stayed preferred and had Jesus as out butler - He went out of his way and always checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Jay Ventura and Geici at the Preferred family Pool were the most hardworking people i have ever seen. They truly care about making your stay excellent. They were always so happy and genuine.
Having booked in January, approaching the holiday I was nervous of the reviews and even considered changing hotels, glad we didn’t! I believe a holiday is what you make it, and we had a great 2 weeks. My main concern was the food, but I had nothing to worry about, yes it’s not gourmet but we never had any issues with any meal and there was plenty of options whether a la carte, buffet or snacks- our favs were the Italian, Asian and Mexican, plus the coco cafe for snacks and coffee. The preferred breakfast in Oceania was ok but service a little slow for my liking. We upgraded to preferred and for the purposes of a butler, it added nothing to our stay, we ended up sorting a room issue ourselves as it didn’t get sorted via them. They can’t reserve sunbeds, or make dinner reservations so what is the purpose??! HOWEVER… I am so glad we had preferred for Al at the preferred adults only pool, he was with us our full 14 days and couldn’t do enough for us. As Brits we tip for good service and he deserved every tip he got as did the bar tenders and lunch waiter in that area. Such a hard working guy! Lenis at the beach bar was fab, amazing cocktails! I felt that the entertainment let’s the resort down, too much going on at once in the evening in the same area, no one area to sit and listen to some nice music, as there is disco music or the show going on in the background. The beach was stunning, yes the sea is a little rough but a walk to the far end and it’s much calmer and very shallow. We had a fab trip and if you are going, do not panic about bad reviews!…
We have been to a few all inclusive resorts now and I would say this is the best hands down. We went preferred and had a junior swim out room. The aesthetic is modern and flawless and everywhere you look there is a member of staff working to keep it pristine whether that’s the grounds or inside the buildings. The staff work incredibly hard whatever role they are in. The restaurants were very good, our favourite was Hibachi and the food was excellent. The buffet at breakfast was amazing with great choice and although unfortunately the buffet was never open for dinner (due to the resort not being at full capacity) we never had a bad meal anywhere. The adults only preferred pool was our favourite spot and the beach was stunning. We liked the few entertainment shows we saw but were mostly happy to hang out in the lobby bar. There was nothing negative worth mentioning, most people seem to moan about things on here that are personal preference but as a resort - I couldn’t see any major downsides at all. The only minor thing I would mention is how often people come up to you trying to sell something to you when you’re at the pool - the Spa/water sports teams etc. But to be honest - i think this is a cultural thing as you do not get that in the U.K. Special mention to a few staff - Lorenzo at the breakfast buffet was amazing and always had a smile on his face, keeping us topped up with Mimosas. Al the concierge at the preferred pool was great and really did treat everyone like VIPs. Most importantly - our butler Carlos was absolutely fantastic, although we are quite low key and didn’t ask for too much, he was always very responsive and attentive and left little treats in our room was which a nice touch. Overall - a great resort and would definitely return again. No hotel is ever going to please everyone but the negative reviews on here are madness in our opinion!…
