We stayed at the Caves for our honeymoon in late 2008 and loved every minute of it. We were met at the airport with an air conditioned van to the resort, then at check in we were greeted with a cocktail and lots of friendly faces. We stayed in Star Dust, before it because widely known. It was perfect, with...

What is The Caves really selling? privacy! What an amazing opportunity - at the "full" point of our weekend we had a whopping 20 guests at the resort. Even when we all chose to be in the pool together to chat, it wasn't full! Most of the time was spent alone on a chaise lounge (only 2 to a cliff)...

First, long story short: If you have the Caves as an idea of your next trip; like others have said-stop researching…book it and GO!!!! Second, if you want a trip filled with excitement, activities, music and fun, multiple excursions off property, things to do and see, and a schedule of this, that, and the other…then choose somewhere else. The Caves...

My husband and I just returned from an incredible experience at The Caves. I never had interest before in visiting Jamaica, hearing about all the large rowdy resorts. But The Caves is the antithesis. It's 90 min from Montego Bay airport, built along the cliffs. It is so special and beautiful, and mellow - no kids! There were only about...

This was our second trip to he caves... we have fallen immediately in love again! Love at second sight. Talk about a hidden gem this place is virtually a hidden paradise. From the very hospitable staff, to the decor, to the wonderful food, and oh yes the amazing views. The pictures don’t describe what you will experience. My boyfriend and...

The Caves is lovely and private and all the other wonderful things that have been said. Many people have given some tips on some "must do" things while there and I agree with them all. Yes, book the cave dinner; yes, book the private hot tub... But there are some other wonders to enjoy to make the most of your...

My husband and I celebrated our 17th honeymoon at The Caves. We loved every moment of being there. The highlights were the food, the view, the beverages and the customer service. (My favorite dining experience was the Jamaican Breakfast, and my husband's was a tossup between the lobster for the Cave Dinner & the banana pancakes for breakfast) The sunsets...

My wife and I visited The Caves with another couple and were amazed at how wonderful it was. We were there for 7 days and had bad weather most of the time, but still we couldnt have had a better time. The food was amazing, everything was fresh, even down to the jam with breakfast toast (i recommend the combo...

Only issue was there is no AC in the room. If you're sensitive to this then you should not stay here. I however am not and LOVED this hotel!!!! Lets see, it's all inclusive and the hotel only holds a maximum of about 20 guests. So unlike other all inclusives the food here is excellent and prepared for each guest...

My wife and I just visited The Caves for 6 days to celebrate my BIG 5-0. We typically do not consider all-inclusive resorts, as we like to explore off-property. We are avid travelers in the U.S. and abroad, but simply put, The Caves was The. BEST. EVER!. Relaxing, sensual, romantic, with the happiest, most attentive staff who make you feel...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Caves sits along the limestone cliffs of the West End of Negril, right next to the famous Negril Lighthouse in Jamaica. Although situated only a few miles away from the bustling town center, this private enclave is a world apart. Eleven handcrafted wood and stone thatched-roof cottages, plus a 4-bedroom fully self-contained luxury villa, are interwoven between ten acres of lush vegetation and naturally formed volcanic caves. Quaint stone pathways wind through the limestone cliffs dotted with palm, sea grape and dogwood trees overlooking the Caribbean Sea. An arrangement of coral stairs and walkways lead to sundecks with uninterrupted views of the sea and sky, and grottos with turquoise water pools and fossilized marine life. A tropical reef system comes right up to the edge of the cliff, perfect for snorkeling. Guests can climb down ladders into the sea or take a leap from several “jump points,” the highest of which is 30 feet! An intimate, private and unique resort, The Caves is perfect for romance and relaxation. The Caves generally does not accept children under 16 years old. Exceptions must be cleared with the hotel management. ... more   less
