Was looking for a place to just unwind and enjoy a little nature. The view from there was just beautiful if u wanted you go go rafting close by on the Rio Grande. .The rooms were comfortable and and had a nice ambiance. .enjoyed my visit 😊

One the nicest and quaint hideaway in Portland . You can have breakfast overlooking the slow meandering Rio Grande River on which rafting is a must . Lush green vegetation wherever you go, guava and Jamaica Apple for you to pick if the birds don't get to them first.

We headed to Port Antonio with the objective of taking the raft trip downhill the Rio Grande. Our hotel was selected at random but Man did we get it right. The hotel site is outstanding between the ocean and the Rio Grande River. From the main balcony, the view is outstanding of the sun setting over the Blue Mountains as...

My husband and I returned for another stay at this beautiful hotel. The views are as gorgeous as ever. Be sure to ask Sharon Miller, owner and chef, to cook you one of her fabulous meals. We had red snapper prepared in the 'run down' style - exquisite! We were well taken care of by the hotel staff - Andrea,...

Rio Vista Resort is situated walking distance to the Rio Grande rafting terminus. It is situated on a hill overlooking the river has has expansive well maintained grounds. The hotel itself is quite typical of a small Jamaican hotel with comfortable but dated facilities. Travelers that are interested in staying a full service international tourist resort should stop reading this...

Astounding views of the Rio Grande and Blue Mountains. Attentive helpful staff, useful proximity to Port Antonio and banks, stores, etc....it is a drive from Kinston or Montego Bay airports but that drive will separate you from the package all-inclusive anti-tourists. Port Antonio is what many of us dreamed the Caribbean was when we were young.

We stayed at Rio Vista for five nights in January of 2013 while exploring the gorgeous north-east coast of Jamaica and can't recommend it enthusiastically enough. Sharon Miller is the owner and host of this beautifully situated niche resort. Rio Vista could definitely bill itself as an "eco-resort" because it is spectacularly positioned overlooking the majestic Rio Grande River on...
