We visited the Gallery Inn for the fourth time in 7 years, but things have degraded to the point that we will never go again or every recommended it again, which we have done often. The most prominent issue is the new Parking policy...I was treated like a criminal for having a rental car which we had been using for...

This was an awesome place to stay if you want an Inn with character and old world charm. So much to see at this place. Artwork, sculptures and culture everywhere! Friendly staff who are willing to please. This inn is not for the person who is looking for a 4 star hotel though. The rooms are very rustic. If you...

Old San Juan is charming and romantic. The architecture is inspiring and the streets are full of history. All of these elements are present at the Gallery Inn too, however they are not enough to balance out the cons. The first room we were shown reminded me more of a dungeon than a hotel room. It was dark, windowless and...

Located on the road between, El Cristobal Castle and El Morro Castle. Slightly set back. there is no sign. The taxi driver will know the place. Dont sweat the address. This hotel, to my knowledge is owned by two artists. We met them both charming ladies ! Their original art and that of others is scattered all over the hotel....

We booked this hotel for one night prior to boarding our cruise ship. The hotel is unique, owned by an artist and decorated by her. Lots of alcoves and hanging greenery, paintings statues etc.. quaint! The receptionist(s) were very helpful and friendly and directed us to our room, one of 3 accessed by a spiral staircase, not for the faint...

If you like a Marriott or Ritz, you won't like this quirky inn. It's a maze of rooms & patios - with a very convenient location in Old San Juan. Bathrooms are functional, but small & a bit run down. I wouldn't suggest a stay of longer than a couple of nights. That said, we enjoyed our stay. Our room...

Boutique hotel / art gallery of owner Jan D'Esposo, who renovated this wonderful place in 1961, when she moved here when she was 25 years old! Amazing place. Great proximity to historic attractions. Happy hour, honors bar, breakfast served ($11 omelet, $5 orange juice) free coffee and toast. Highest rooftop deck in Old San Juan. Room was comfortable, some rooms...

On our trip back home from the BVI our flight out of San Juan was cancelled due to a snowstorm back east. We e dead up in a old San Juan for 4 nights at the Gallery Inn. Words do not do this place justice. If you like adventure, meeting new people, art and music this is the place for...

Unlike anywhere else, this place and the staff are phenomenal. I loved the art everywhere and the sweet nooks. My challenges were mostly because this was a business trip: poor lighting, no desk/chair, scant breakfast served too late for my schedule, etc. Otherwise this Inn is an experience all around!

On a recent trip, we stayed in the Gallery Inn, before and after our Caribbean cruise. We chose the Gallery Inn since we had stayed there before, for one night in 2011. Things have changed since then, and in our view, not for the better. The Good - the property is very well located, across the street from the ocean,...
