We saw the pictures of this place, but they really didn't do it justice. I would like to stay there again. I felt like I was in someone's home and not a hotel. Beautiful view of the city from the top floor. The pool although small had a really nice set up. If you are snobby and prefer the Hilton...

Over the New Year weekend I found myself with the love of my life embraced by the eclectic, historic and artistic charm of the Gallery Inn, caught up in a timeless romantic daydream. From its open courtyards and hidden gardens adorned with beautiful scluptures and paintings, to its nostaglic remembrance of the host artist's love affair with her soulmate, to...

The hotel was better than imagined. We stayed in the Blanca room. We had a balcony that overlooked the ocean. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We loved the fountains, the birds, the room and especially the rooftop view. This hotel is centrally located in the heart of Old San Juan. It is between the two forts and near...

The outstanding- find the patio on the fourth floor w a beautiful 360 degree view, overlooking ocean to the north and old San Juan to the south. The good-The staff, decor w lots of art, vintage rooms, birds, occasional concert, lots of fascinating sitting areas. The bad-some rooms small and bathroom setups can be quirky. It is located at the...

We visited in December. Two families, including 6 teens. The Gallery Inn isn't for everyone, but it is absolutely amazing. Every room and common space is uniquely beautiful. We listened to classical piano from a porch overlooking the ocean, listened to another piano performance in a medieval looking candle lit basement room, had breakfast with the birds outdoors, enjoyed the...

We gravitate toward boutique hotels with some personality, so this was right down our alley. And boy, does it have personality: parrots, piano music, art, and a cool maze of staircases and seating areas. Great location in Old San Juan, and everyone we dealt with was helpful and pleasant. But as other reviews have noted, it's old and things that...

Complimentary breakfast pitiful for a $300/night room. Roof leaks. Water pressure so low it was almost useless. This meant the shower was VERY weak. There is a separate jacuzzi style tub...we tried to fill it...after 5 minutes, there was not even 2” of water in it….useless. Even if one could have filled it, the water would be cold given the...

The Gallery is an amazing, unique property. Built nearly 500 years ago, the Inn is comprised of multiple old buildings that were salvaged from ruin and assembled into one of the most unusual places you can ever stay. The garden areas are amazing, and meander through multiple levels of the "compound." In fact the whole place meanders from room to...

We booked thru booking.com first mistake. Paid $1100. for 5 nights left early. I am sure there will be no refund. They put is in a room with no window with panes, at the top of a spiral staircase. We are in our mid 60s...what are they thinking. My husband's nice jacket and shirt was stolen by someone. I still don't...

The place is historic with several excellent sculptures all done by the same woman. My family rented two rooms. Both rooms required internet access as the hotel has several routers. Unfortunately a recent upgrade by their internet provider disabled our access. Furthermore the staff on duty were unaware of the upgrade issues which caused us to cancel our remaining 4...
