Casa Condado Hotel offers 20 Beautiful Hotel Rooms with Communal and Shared Spaces, Living and Dining Room, Fully Equipped Kitchen with stainless steel appliances and marble top and a modern Laundry area. Ideal for Corporate and/or Vacation Rentals.
First this isn't a hotel. It is a space someone has converted into a rental unit. No one is present to help you get into your space and the directions are not clear. It is a communal living enviroment. Think if you took a house and then rented out the bedrooms to people but had open access to your kitchen and living room. Your 'bedroom' isn't numbered adding to the Challenges just in finding. The location is good which is what you are paying for. Room is clean. But that is it.

Hello fello vacationers, First let me start by saying DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! I travel to Puerto Rico quit frequently. This is not a franchise hotel. So, their are not corporate standards to fellow. I'm not at all saying franchise hotel are the only hotels to stay at. When I booked this hotel it was being compared to Holiday Inn Condado. I have stayed in that Holiday Inn numerous times with no problems. I chose the Casa Condado because it had parking on site. I understood their was an additional charge. I like the idea of the car being steps away. Also, their website said they had wifi. I needed wifi because of my daughter's college courses were time specific. When checked in I asked for our wifi password the clerk was happy to give to me. We went to our room got settled in and tried to login. We couldn't get the wifi to work I even tried in common areas and the lobby still no signal. I then informed the front desk person. He then informed me that the wifi down and had been down for awhile. They were waiting on the internet company to do repairs. He had no idea when it would be fixed. No internet big problem because my daughter had time specific classes and work to do. When we arrived and checking in 11:30pm very tired and thirsty I asked if I could get some water. The front desk clerk scurried off and came back with 1 bottle of water I asked if I could buy a second bottle for my daughter he told me no. Their was no cup or ice bucket in our room. The hotel room was extremely small and tiny tv under 20inch was broken. It was a full size bed again extremely small room didn't even have a closet or dresser. In the morning I went to take a shower there was no hot water. I checked with the front desk because I understand in Puerto Rico sometimes their hot water isn't that hot. They have different types of hot water heaters. She informed me that they had regular hot water heaters. She would have someone fix it later that day so basically no hot shower today. I told front desk clerk that the tv was broken too. On our way out for the day I asked the front desk agent about parking. The front desk clerk informed me about the additional cost. I was totally fine with the extra cost. The front desk agent informed me that the parking was around back through the alley behind the building. I told her I would be coming back with a car. When we arrived back the hotel at 6:30pm I drove in to rear parking area behind the building. My daughter got out of the car and hurried to the hotel room to use the bathroom. I parked the car in the only spot available. I was getting my purse and shopping bags to get out of the car. A woman knocked on my car window. I was a bit shocked and startled. Information me that I couldn't park there it was for guest only. I told her I was a guest. She then asked me my last name I of course told her she the to me I was not a guest and didn't have a reservation. I informed her I had a room. By the way, she never informed me she was night front desk agent. She was now yelling at me telling me to move my car. I was almost in tears. She kept saying I wasn't a guest. She said I was in someone else's spot. She said I had to move my car immediately. I called my daughter and told her to come down to front of the hotel. We drove around and around looking for a parking lot for 30mins. At this point I gave up and called for the third time in not even 24hrs hotwire which I have booked through they offered me a complete refund minus the night before stay. After driving around and calling hotwire. We parked at restaurant very close to the hotel. When we walked in the door of the hotel the same front desk agent who yelled at me earlier demanded my name again we hurried up to our room packed our stuff and was out the door in 10min. I handed the front desk agent the key and out the the door. My daughter and I checked in at 11:30 the night before and checked out at 7:00pm the next day just a reminder this was a seven day trip. was extremely disappointed in this hotel and the staff. Staff was rude unfriendly and unhelpful. I would never stay here again!!!!! Their are alot of great locally own hotels in Puerto Rico THIS IS NOT ONE OF TH HEM!!!!!!!! …

I spent five days over the 4th of July holiday, at Casa Condado. The hotel is a basic hotel. There is no elevator for the four floors and not handicap accessible. The location is convenient to a CVS and Walgreens (both around 2 blocks), the beach is a short three block walk. The surrounding neighborhood seemed safe. I observed several homeless individuals close by, but they never bothered me or anyone passing buy. I found all the staff friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is basic, usually eggs, toast, coffee, juice, ham. Some mornings a little extra was added but not much. Usually just enough to get you out the door. Most days while I was there the breakfasts were on the terrace and not in the restaurant. The room was a basic room, with limited wall outlets. As a matter of fact, there were only three outlets in the room, one was used by the television. The other outlet was near the bed and the last in the bathroom. The walls are bare, no art or any type. The only thing on the wall was a large wall safe which stuck out about 8". The air conditioning was great, the shower had hot water with a decent flow rate. The bed is comfortable. The floors are hardwood with no carpeting into the halls. So, with no art or rugs noise in the halls can be heard in the room. Also note, the toilet seat did not have a lid. I felt safe in the hotel, the desk is staffed 24/7, there are cameras on every floor, and in all the halls leading to rooms. I'm looking at other reviews and had pretty had same experience and observations as PeteC372 reports on his visit.…

Let me start by saying this was the second time staying and we had another future reservation for June and that has been cancelled from our end. We do weddings at San Juan and sometimes we look for places to stay when we have early weddings. I sent a message one month in advance to the hotel requesting a room in the lower level (first floor) knowing that they don't have an elevator and we had many things to carry up. They confirmed that they will make arrangements for the accommodations and when we checked in we were assigned the 4 floor. After mentioning to the front end about my note she was able to move us to the 3rd floor. We went to the room and the a/c was not working. It showed a E1 error; no phone to call the front desk; so go down the stairs again to talk to her. She said all it needed was a reset. That no previous complain has been received about the A/C. We went for diner while she reviewed the a/c and when we arrived 3 hours later the a/c was not working. So again go down the stairs; she came and asked if the a/c was running and we said no. Then she offered to see if there were other rooms available. She came back and mentioned she was checking another room that the a/c was working but not cooling yet; to give her sometime. All of this at 11:00pm. We had an early day next day and just wanted to take a shower and rest. She said the new room was on the 4th floor so we started moving our things upstairs. Keep in mind no elevator; no help to move your things. But we want to rest so let's do this. When we got to the new room I remembered we had another reservation for June and decided to go an cancel before I forget to do the cancellation as we are not planing to come back. My husband went downstairs to get ice and he was approached by the lady and asked to pick up our things and leave the hotel as we cancelled the reservation. And he was told we could not book again as we will be black listed. My husband came up and told me that we needed to leave and what happened. We went again downstairs (again 4 floors) down to clarify that the cancellation was a future stay and showed the guy the email and he just replied: Oh she did not read. Midnight and you still arguing about your room. Room that was paid in full (first night) when you booked and that they had our credit card for the second night. If they are in the hotel business they know you cannot cancel a reservation once you are staying. The only thing positive about that hotel is the location. The rooms are not well clean; the showers need TLC; dinky tv (that did not work) and had to go again downstairs to report. The breakfast the bacon is so overcook that turns into dust. Honestly not staying. It was convenient initially and we overlook the other details but having a rude staff that overacted without reading or later apologizing for trying to kick us out. No worries no need to put us in your black list. We will not be staying.…

I stayed with my wife for one night. Check in was a little bit messy but I figured that the front desk person was being trained at the moment. He didn't tell me my room # (I figured it out when I saw a small sticker with a number on my room key), he didn't provide the wifi password and he also didn't return my driver's license. The room was clean. There were zero decorations in the room, a small TV with cable (which was adequate) but not even one chair. Bed was fine but the pillows... OMG the pillows!!! Only 2 were available and they were very thin. I asked for more pillows at the front desk but none were available. It was not a very good sleep. The room configuration is weird and there was a wall AC unit that was struggling to cool the whole room, even with the temp setting at 62 degrees. Breakfast menu was very limited but the taste and the service was good. Overall, it was an acceptable stay for one night but, the pillows!!!! Please, the pillows!!!…

We stayed for two nights pre-cruise. The location is very convenient. The neighborhood doesn’t look terrific but we felt safe day and night (as we did everywhere in the San Juan area - security is very visible). Our room was on the “first” floor (located on the second level which is just above street level). Also on the lobby floor was a small restaurant. The room was sparsely furnished. A bed, a shelf on the wall with a safe and some hangers hanging beneath it and a second shelf. There was a luggage rack as well. There were built-in shelves on either side of the bed. There was an entry hall leading to the bathroom. Here again, sparse with a couple of hooks for towels and a glass shelf over the toilet. Did I say sparse? No toilet paper holder! The roll sat on the back of the toilet. There was no shelf in the shower which is very inconvenient. Also, the room didn’t have a chair. That is until we dragged one in from the hall outside the room. There was a a small television that was adequate. We weren’t there to hang out. It looked like the room has been painted recently as evidenced by several drops of dried paint on the floor and even on the shower curtain. The room was very clean and the A/C worked well. The bed was very comfortable. There was a very nice open air deck on our level with tables and chairs. Very comfortable to sit out. Unfortunately the view was limited to the buildings across the street. We had breakfast both mornings in the restaurant. The menu is limited. We both had Huevos Rancheros and this was a real treat. They offer a couple of different versions and both were very good. If you stay at this hotel, make it a point to have breakfast there. One night we had a drink in the small bar before bed. Very nice bartender. So, that’s it. A clean room - just the very basics with a nice breakfast. …

I gave it 4 stars because the breakfast is a GREAT DEAL! 4 of us stayed here while the rest of our party stayed across at the Palm. We paid less than half, but we had half the amenities. We knew that going in. However, we did not know that the complimentary breakfast would be so wonderful! Our friends at the Palm got cereal and muffins, while we got juices, bacon, eggs, toast. One could choose from: Cuban, Puerto Rican or Americano. Plenty of coffee. Please leave a tip for the wonderful staff. In the rooms, we needed bigger towels, more soaps and shampoo, a holder for the toilet paper, the safe did not work, the pillows were too flat. The AC was good, tho, and the bed was firm and comfortable. Fortunately, we slept, ate breakfast, and left for all 5 days! The loggia was nice, we played cards there one night w friends. If you're on a budget, stay here. You can walk to the beach in 3 minutes.…

A group of us, 5 in total, stayed here during a friends trip. The accommodations were adequate, relatively clean and the hotel is in a great area, walking distance to beaches, shops, restaurants, services. It's not the Ritz Carlton, but for the money It's a good place to stay and the free breakfast was surprisingly good with a choice of three types. I can't say enough about the wonderful service from all staff!

The hotel was located about 1 ½ blocks from the main beach road and the Marriott. Check in was simple and our room was located on the third floor #14. There was not elevator so we carried our bags up the stairs. The room was very simple and was perfect for a day before the cruise. Overall the bed was fine and the bathroom was good sized. Overall the room lacked plug ins, but if you dig behind the bed you can find one. There is not much storage but if you are staying only a few nights it does not matter.
