Husband & I stayed here for a week. This is NOT a hotel! I am not sure if it is a time share or an Air Bnb spot only (which is how we found it). The pool shown in the photos is NOTHING like the real thing - it’s tiny. There IS mold is some rooms. DO NOT STAY
Reading the reviews had me sort of nervous about staying here but I needed to judge for myself. The pictures that's posted of the rooms are accurate....almost. The only thing that was missing was the ceiling fan. Somewhere it says that the rooms are soundproof but they aren't. There's no actual staff onsight aside from the security guard that's on the premises 24 hours a day. Theres actually NO RESORT FEE. PARKING IS NOT FREE, there is a fee. There's no early check ins. Check in is 4PM. There's no around the clock housekeeping so there's a designated time to get the rooms cleaned and sanitized so if you arrive early they will store your bags in a secured area while you wait/explore the island. It's NOT a hotel. It's Villas. Some sort of timeshare I suppose, don't hold me to that. The villas has a full refrigerator, microwave, stove top, sink, dishwasher, utensils, plates, pots, etc. Everything worked! The TV had satellite. Not that many channels were free but there were a few plus the basic channels but its a vacation, who cares about channels right? AC worked great. Bathroom was clean and stocked with everything you needed. It's not a new development so everything won't work as if it just came off the assembly line. The standing shower has an area where you can sit down and the only issue is a slight leak on the shower head that can be overlooked. The toilet flushed but filled back slowly BUT it worked. Extra pillows and blankets in the closet. The room has a working safe. There's not a phone in the rooms. Balcony views are amazing. The location is next to a pretty awesome part of history that you can walk over and explore. There's a pool and jacuzzi on the first floor, outdoors. Restaurants near by. Uber is very easy to access in the area. Beaches nearby. This is a pretty awesome and beautiful place to stay. If you're particular about having certain things and need to have everything picture perfect without flaw then this isn't the place for you. And one last thing, there's a possibility that the floor you thought you would be on won't be the floor you're on when you arrive. No big deal, the views are awesome all around, just at different heights. I was satisfied with everything and I will be back to stay at this exact location.…
We arrived at this property and were told we had been "upgraded" -- when we got into the room, it was a completely different room with zero amenities. The host promised he would fix the situation, never did, and then the company refused to give us a refund. Total waste of money, do not go to this location, do not use this management company (Perfect Vacations PR) There are many hotels in the area that will not scam you.
My husband booked this hotel slightly last minute because the trip was slightly last minute. He did not read through the reviews and I really wish he had because the contrast of 1 star and 5 star is pretty noticeable. And the 5 star reviews descriptions sound a lot like an add, clearly they are from owners or staff. My husband and step son arrived at midnight to find they did not have a room despite booking it several days earlier, having the payment go through and having a confirmation number. They were told to find another hotel. Fortunately there was a room left at the Hilton close by so they went there. But most hotels were booked. Today they woke up and called the "owner" who was short on the phone with them, he told my husband he still didn't have anything but tomorrow he probably would. He just booked his stay at the Hilton for his whole trip at that point. Honestly after looking through reviews it seems they dodged a bullet. There are pictures of bugs and people covered in bed bug bites. San Juan is totally booked this weekend, and many reviews point out that one room will be advertised and when they arrive they get something totally different. I think it is pretty clear this place just places one add up, books that room and then you are stuck with whatever they have, if you're lucky. If you aren't you are without a room at midnight with a kid and can sleep on the beach for all they care. If the Hilton didn't have a room I think that is what they would have seriously had to do. It boggles my mind. But we have learned to check reviews well before we book.…
Room was not ready it had no sheets or pillows and floors were not clean either. Hotel staff were very rude blamed covid and being short employees for why room wasn’t ready and would not take accountability. Had no other available rooms, would not give a refund or discount and called me a hassler. Management argued with me for a long time saying I don’t know what it’s like to run and business and in other words implied me and my friends were broke. Room was small and not clean and hotel staff were very rude and had very poor customer service. Had to cancel through the booking agent and file a claim against them. They then lied and said I was there too early for room to be ready, check in was at 3pm and we arrived at 5pm.
