Stayed in this hotel because it's near the town "plaza" and the reviews here in Tripadvisor....Wow, what a pleasant surprise! The service was great, from the front clerk to the ladies that clean and prepare your room to the owner Nancy. This hotel used to be a convent and has since been renovated. The owners have done a great job...

Small and very clean hotel.Perfect to spend a night or two.Located in the old Mayaguez town is perfect for tourist to get around the town. The have continental breakfast every morning. Very nice crew, even when we called to reserve. The only bad part is the parking space, they told us to park in the street because hotel was full. I...

It was very clean, which is really what I care about most. However, it is run-down. You won't get a great shower, just a sprinkle, lol, and we didn't have hot water (just lukewarm) the first two days we were there. Also the neighborhood is very run-down and the area is not safe after dark. LOTS of outside noise overnight,...

The former convent offers a glimpse of history into the heart of Mayaguez. The hotel is a basic, no frills arrangement with clean rooms and a safe parking spot, however it is not the most comfortable if you are staying on the lower floors as the rooms are dark from outside light. Still, the staff are very, very nice and...

I was very impressed with the service received at Hotel Colonial compared to the price paid for my stay and the prices that are charged by other hotels including big name hotel chains in the area. The room was super clean, the bed was very...

The room is small. But has all the amenities. TV air conditioning shower. Includes breakfast. Great rate. Gated off-street parking. Located around the block from the main Town Square. Front desk was really nice and helpful. Provided not only a map, but a hotel created downtown walking tour.

Rooms are small but not bad. The windows start at about 5' from the floor. The building is well maintained and the staff very helpful and pleasant. The free parking is tight but there were no SUVs in 1930. Great location, steps from the plaza. The free breakfast is not much but there's a good bakery a few blocks away....

Stayed one person petite room. Very small but clean. For the price it is a good posada and very well run by owners. The plaza close by is beautifull but most business around were closed and for sale, so no live there. Few nice bar at walking distance but streets looked empty and dark, but I still enjoyed the night.
