I have never written a review in my life but feel that it is only fair to let travelers know what they will get for their money. My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We chose it because it was in Esperanza and on the budget end. Our room, #5, was very dark even when you turned on... More

A friend and I stayed at Tradewinds for a total of 8 nights in April of this year, our welcome was very friendly as the woman told us to go to our room to relax and complete the check in after a nap or whenever we were ready, she helped us to our room with all our luggage and left... More

The rooms are "dungeons" with no window, so no ocean view (or even sounds). The rooms ARE clean and smell naturally fresh despite the ability to see outside - NO BUGS. We stayed comfortably cool with the help of the air conditioner & ceiling fan. Location is perfect on the end of the Malecon, so if you do not mind... More

I chose Tradewinds as our place to stay on Vieques because: - it was in Esperanza - it was in our budget - breakfast was included in the price of the room, and was highly praised. Didn't need anything more. We stayed three nights, from Saturday to Tuesday morning and had overall a pretty mixed experience. - the location: perfect,... More

We didn't get to stay here but enjoyed a lovely candlelit, unhurried dinner overlooking the calm waters. The food was excellent (filet steak superb), the wine delicious. The service was relaxed and friendly. We tried to head there for Breakfast the following morning but it was closed for guests only. We didn't see into the rooms but it looked like... More

The TradeWinds is convenient to the action in Esperanza, and the nightly rate includes a tasty breakfast each morning. The rooms themselves are basic, no frills, but clean and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and friendly enough. Be warned that anywhere you stay on the malecon, you will have a lot of noise to deal with on weekend nights, mostly... More

The location is ideal; you eat your delicious free breakfast on a deck overlooking the bay. The view is gorgeous. The rooms are simple, clean, comfortable. Harry and Janet -- the owners -- are friendly, fun, and eager to please. We were very happy with our stay and would stay here again.

I've stayed here more than once. The location is great. Right on Esperanza, looking the water. But my boyfriend calls the rooms "dungeons." Hehe I agree. No windows or too much lighting. The rooms are kitchy but they grow on you. They are very clean and comfortable, which is very important to me. The rooms are spacious. The rate included... More

My wife and I just stayed at Trade Winds in Esperanza for 2 nights. The great part about this guest house is that it is located on the beachfront, within walking distance of several beaches. Breakfast is also complimentary and the restaurant has a great view of the bay. The rooms are simple, and we found them to be a... More
