The TradeWinds is convenient to the action in Esperanza, and the nightly rate includes a tasty breakfast each morning. The rooms themselves are basic, no frills, but clean and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and friendly enough. Be warned that anywhere you stay on the malecon, you will have a lot of noise to deal with on weekend nights, mostly...

The location is ideal; you eat your delicious free breakfast on a deck overlooking the bay. The view is gorgeous. The rooms are simple, clean, comfortable. Harry and Janet -- the owners -- are friendly, fun, and eager to please. We were very happy with our stay and would stay here again.

I've stayed here more than once. The location is great. Right on Esperanza, looking the water. But my boyfriend calls the rooms "dungeons." Hehe I agree. No windows or too much lighting. The rooms are kitchy but they grow on you. They are very clean and comfortable, which is very important to me. The rooms are spacious. The rate included...

My wife and I just stayed at Trade Winds in Esperanza for 2 nights. The great part about this guest house is that it is located on the beachfront, within walking distance of several beaches. Breakfast is also complimentary and the restaurant has a great view of the bay. The rooms are simple, and we found them to be a...

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more - The owners were friendly and always there working. The staff was also friendly and helpful. The location was wonderful and the view out the balcony was storybook perfect. The rooms were quaint - just what they should be on an island. If you are looking for the same cookie cutter hotel room...

My boyfriend and I stayed here during a two-night respite from camping for a week. The price was pretty reasonable ($75) and we loved the tile rooms and the huge decks. The food is great and the bed comfortable. We were very happy here.

We had a great time staying at Tradewinds. Everyone we dealt with was super friendly. Staff helped us with arrangements for the Bio Bay tour, with getting our taxis and with advice about how to spend our limited time in Vieques. The restaurant has by far the best view for dining in Esperanza. Our candlelight dinner after sunset will not...

We did not stay at Tradewinds, but decided to have a nice dinner while we were in Vieques. This place is NOT the place to drop $100 for a meal!! I'm pretty tolerant of most things and forgiving being a former waitress, but when the salad greens are so mushy that I can't spear it with my fork something is...

Let me start by saying I am a bit of a hotel snob...this place might be OK for someone not planning to do anything but SLEEP in the room. There were no windows in the room-except one by the door that provided zero light. the room was clean but terribly small and claustrophobic. what i didn't understand was that they...
