This spot was perfect for our small scale overnight field trip from Florida for 5th grade students and their families for 3 nights. We loved it so much, some people opted to hang out there one day instead of snorkel the reef and go to the beach! Rustic but clean, connected to the outdoors but very few bugs, not too...

My wife and I and our two kids (3 and 1) stayed at La Finca for a few nights in March. We stayed in the Family Cabana, which was perfect. Screens and sturdy, smooth plywood and an awesome semi-outdoor shower. Our daughter loved the trees, flowers and the pools, and we spent A LOT of time scooting around on the...

To begin, this review is LONG overdue. This in no way reflects our experience in March at La Finca Caribe. Corky and Bill (owners) have created a truly magical escape for anyone interested in being off the beaten path. They are passionate about the environment, the culture & people of Vieques. Because of this they take measures, both big &...

I visited La Finca early in March 2015 with family including two young children. I stayed in the casa grande while my daughter and her family stayed in the family cabana. We had such a wonderful and relaxing time. Bill and Scott could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Loved the grounds, the pool, the huge porch, the outdoor...

I have never met warmer and more generous hosts than Scott and Bill. We found everything we needed thanks to their kind help. The Finca is charming and clean, intimate but also private. Our kids found fast friends by the pool. The houses were airy, fresh, and clean. We had great sleep! The beaches on Vieques are beautiful and not...

Bill and Scott, thank you so much for making our stay extra special. We loved all the restaurant and beach recommendations. Y'all rock! Our family of 5 stayed in Casa Nueva and it was perfect. We really enjoyed how the property is in the hills, which makes it really quiet in the mornings and at night! We also loved the...

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at La Finca in late March, 2015. We enjoyed our privacy in a "casita", as well as the shared pool and resources such as beach chairs and snorkeling equipment. Our hosts, Managers Bill and Scott, were as welcoming, helpful and informative as we could have hoped. We especially appreciated the contact with...

Bill and Scott were the best hosts - thoughtful, helpful, unobtrusive, and so fun to talk with. They went out of their way to accommodate us when we had rental car trouble, forgot things, etc. They felt like old friends by the time we left in just three short days. The family cabana was perfect for our little family (10...

Though definitely not for everyone, this is an ideal 'hotel' if you want the most laid back, way friendly, eco-concsious, and unpretentious place to stay in Vieques. My 12 year old daughter loved the completely open, communal spaces, shared kitchen area, and, as reported elsewhere, the "smart, funning, engaging" and caring guests and hosts. We will definitely come back on...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Vieques' most beautiful rustic getaway and original eco-tourism destination since 1995....A rare taste of the Caribbean -- the way it used to be, quiet, natural & affordable. Perfect for groups of two to thirty, workshops, family reunions, or romantic getaways for just the two of you. Anyone who likes off the beaten track and wants to experience the Caribbean the way it was meant to be: quiet, natural and affordable. Salt water pool, outdoor showers, hammocks, views and breezes. La Finca is a cluster of handmade houses -- our large wooden main house, Casa Grande, alone can sleep 18-22, but we also have two family size cabanas and two smaller casitas, all on 3 acres of fruit trees & palms, on the off-beat island of Vieques, seven miles from Puerto Rico's eastern shore; a 25 minute flight and a world away from San Juan....We're up in the hills, with beautiful views and tradewinds, three miles away from the bustle of town...Talk about getting away! We're not a hotel, or a b&b ... The finca is our family's own private "finca" that we love to share with like-minded eco travelers -- folks who like things as natural and simple as possible. Our towels don't match, our showers are outdoors (don't worry -- they're private), the skies are jet black and studded with stars, and the property is dotted in coco palms, mangoes, starfruit, bananas, and a dozen hammocks ... Tropical summer camp, quiet and beautiful. Think Swiss Family Robinson... (Please note: Feb-March 2015 renting the whole finca means all houses/cabins with exception of Cabanita and includes 10 bedrooms with 7 baths and can sleep up to 33.) ... more   less
