Our third stay in succession there. Brilliant enjoyable holiday. Sadly we missed Sheena and her new baby boy Please will you let us know how Agnes is as she was off sick when we left and she is such a darling. Hopefully her appointment with...More
Recently returned from our week long honeymoon to Halcyon Beach Resort! It was our first Sandals experience and won't be the last! We had such an amazing time, met some wonderful people, and the staff was outstanding! We can't wait to go back! The food...More
First, if you are looking at the Sandals Halcyon photos with a broad white sand beach & aqua blue waters, you wont see it in real life. Half of the beach was strewn with seaweed and trash the other half was clean enough but not...More
We enjoyed going to St. Lucia, but if you are going to spend the money to go, spend the extra money and stay at the Grande vs. Halcyon. The Grande has a lot more to offer! The Halcyon is very pretty, lots of greenery and...More

We are staying at the Halcyon with friends and last night we invited another couple who are stating elsewhere on the island to join us for dinner. They had to pay $160 for a couple's evening dinner pass, including drinks, but having dined elsewhere they...More

Hi. Night dives are an extra $100 per person and only run if 5 people or more are going so, in my experience, they rarely run. There are also normally only on one or two nights each week, if run. Morning dives start at 0800hrs from the hotel - the aim is to set off from the harbour by 0830hrs but this, again, rarely happens though 0840hrs or 0845hrs is not unheard of (depends on traffic to the harbour from both the Halcyon and Le Toc). How long depends on dive sites (normally two tank) but I was back once by 1145hrs and once at 1300hrs. Afternoon dives leave at about 1400hrs and are normally one-tank dives so back much quicker. If you get the shuttle to the Grande, you can set sail, dive and be back in about an hour in the afternoon (although visibility can be poor - 6m at most). I'd suggest diving in the morning to the Soufriere area, best for visibility and seeing creatures.
