We stayed here for our vacation and for the most part found it to be as we expected. It it centrally located in Marigot and convenient to the town and the market. The room we booked was pretty basic - bed, tv, desk and chair, and the bonus of a little balcony in the inside courtyard where we could sit and relax amid the palms and sunshine. It was always cleaned thoroughly, and you could see that they had done a nice job of recovering from the damage caused by the hurricane of a year or so ago. There is a bar and breakfast bar down in the courtyard for the convenience of someone who does not want to go exploring. There were a few minor issues with the room features. The bathroom could use some sort of soap dish (we bought a small plate at the market to use), and while there were lovely good sized towels, I would have liked to have had the use of a facecloth as well. A box of tissues would also have been nice. On the other hand, it was pleasantly quiet, convenient to taxi pick ups (there is no dedicated parking) and the staff were always willing to answer questions or help us out. The front desk becomes unattended later in the evenings, but your room key comes with a key fob to let you through the gate, and there is contact information provided for if you de need to speak with someone. The staff are very multi-lingual so you need not worry on that score - you will be understood.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cute, quaint hotel in Marigot. Although the rooms were very simple and small, it was a great stay. We ate dinner at the restaurant on site, and it was excellent. Staff were all friendly and helpful, and we felt very welcome. The value was quite good, especially in comparison with other hotels. The center courtyard is beautiful and breezy--a great place to hang out with friends. We did add on the optional breakfast, and we were very impressed with how accommodating the staff was. I would stay here again if we go back to Marigot.

A great place for breakfast! The Continental buffet holds everything you would want to eat at only €10 per person. Omelettes and bacon etc can be ordered at an additional charge. This is an oasis, a hidden gem, in the center of Marigot. We highly recommend it!

I don't know but seeing the damage the Hurricane Irma did to so many Marigot buildings which are not yet repaired this hotel much have had a major "do over"....eveything looks great. Everything worked, the restaurant (an outside vendor) does an excellence job, staff was great. The only thing I disliked was the tv channel selection...7 channels in French is it unless you have a subscription to Netflix. Very reasonable room rate, too.

Great location. The rooms are small and basic. The sheets don't fit on the beds, and you get one towel each. The first day we complained that the door to the balcony could not be opened, and the roller-blind could not be closed. We asked to change rooms, but were told they were full. (We saw about 5 other guests during the week we were there.). The blind was kind of fixed the next day, and the door on day three. The day we left we asked if we could have a late check out of an hour, and were told that would cost us a day's rate, since "the hotel was full." The place is basic and charming, but there is really no one in charge and it's looking uncared for. Someone needs to take charge and tighten things up!

European style. Very small room, tiny bathroom - bring your own soap. I liked it and thought it was an excellent value. Easy walk to nice restaurants and quiet enough to sleep. Nice and clean. Parking on street. Hotel is more suited for French and European visitors, although I got along fine and would recommend it to you, if you understand what you are getting and can keep an open mind. If you want a big hotel room and bath head for the big chains in Simpson bay or phillipsburg.

Spent 2 nights - Had a room on top floors (don't remember the number) but it was split between two floors.......and appeared to have been recently renovated. It was 55 euro a night. Local resident/business man recommended and was with me when I checked in speaking French to staff which might have influenced this room being assigned to me.
It's a small hotel that You might miss walking down the street. The multi-lingual staff was very helpful & patient with any question/request. It's centrally located in Marigot which allowed me to walk to all the places I needed to go but taxis are available too via front desk or flagging down.
I liked my room layout, Larger bed, desk area and bathroom w/ shower upstairs + 2 single beds and toilet downstairs. It was comfortable, a/c worked, TV was fine, ceiling was sloped toward window which reduced headroom, view was across the street in town - so no touristy view. The overall size of the room was still on the small euro scale which works for me.
This was kinda a business trip & I was alone. So I was interested in clean, safe, quiet and comfortable. It met my needs. Yes, I would stay again which I always think is the key question.

After a lengthy flight to get there, it was a scene from a French film, with a woman smoking a ciggie telling us she didn't have a reservation for us until we gave her a copy of it. Placed on 3rd floor. Had one towel to share. The morning desk staff was friendlier. We used this place as overnight stay to get to Anguilla.

What is the breakfast like? Is it worth the $9 extra? Thank you
Answer from Rene B

Hi, as far as I remember there is no public bus from the airport. You must take two buses to reach the hotel. First take the minibus that leaves ouside the airport (just accross the street) towards Philipsburg. The bus driver will tell you which roundabout you must drop off. Then you will take a bus or a minibus to Marigot, which will drop you two blocks away from the hotel. The buses are a lot cheaper. So, it is worth the hassle. Caution: If you are carrying two pieces of small sized lugagge or one piece of large lugagge, you may be refused into the minibuses.
