Detailed Reviews
The hotel is directly on the ocean and it's beautiful. The the hosts, named Remi and Yasmine, were extremely friendly and helped us to find our way around the islands and made our stay very convenient and easy. The modernly furnished room was large, comfortable, equipped with a small and very practical kitchen and beautiful. The view of the ocean was breathtaking, and laying on the fluffy mattress at night being soothed by the sound of the waves crashing was the stuff of dreams. We ate a delicious breakfast on the balcony every morning and enjoyed romantic evenings in a large and comfortable bed.
If I won the lottery, I would rent a room here indefinitely. It was like heaven.

Our third trip to St. Martin to stay at Le Petit Hotel and/or L'Esplanade, the sister property walking distance away. Remy and Yasmina are wonderful, they will take care of anything you need during your stay. Wonderful French restaurants are within walking distance (although there is a free shuttle every night for dinner), the beach is beautiful, and the rooms are designed to have everything you need, including a small kitchen. The rooms and the entire property are spotlessly clean and pristine. A lovely breakfast is included each morning, with fresh French pastries, fruit and yogurt. A beautiful spot in French St. Martin. There are still many buildings that have not been rebuilt post Irma, but if you want a gorgeous swimming beach and want to go to sleep listening to the waves every night, this is your spot! L'Esplanade is bigger, with a swim-up bar and nice pool and small spa, but you can go use all of that during your entire stay at Le Petit Hotel.

We spent a week at Le Petit Hotel. It's a perfect beach spot – right on the beach, steps to the sand, breathtaking views, amazing breakfast and impeccable customer service. The people here are so kind and helpful. Another bonus is they have all the fun water toys – snorkeling gear, paddle boards, kayaks, and beach chairs. We chose the Oversized Deluxe Studio, which is on the ground floor with steps off the patio to the beach. The room was a wonderful size with a good equipped kitchen and the patio sported a 4 seat table and had two lounge chairs. We are glad to be part of the lucky few that have been and can't wait to return.

Le Petit offered 10 rooms on site for great views of the ocean, continental breakfast and wonderful service by Remy and Yamina. Each room had an area that you could sit outside and enjoy the views.
Their sister hotel, Le' Esplanade is about a 20-25 minute walk away. They are situated higher on a hill with the pool that they both share. It's closer to the airport, so be ready for that noise, but fun to see the airplanes come to the island. Although it's closer to the airport, you don't hear road traffic from Le' Esplanade that you hear a bit from Le Petit.
Really delicious restaurants just a walk away, but they also offer a van to transport you to/from in the evenings for dinner.
Tough thing to see was how the island still had a long ways to go to recover from the hurricane. We met relief workers and they said after a hurricane it usually takes 10 years for any island to recover. Hard to see the demolished, abandoned buildings alongside beautiful buildings that have been renovated. But, tourism is so important to helping the residents recover. If you don't mind seeing this, but yet enjoying the beauty of the island side by side, then definitely consider going!

Thanks Kristin! We are happy to know that you enjoyed your stay at Le Petit Hotel. Indeed we are still on the upswing from Hurricane Irma...it's been a slow but steady climb and we'll collectively continue the work. Indeed it is tourists like you that make that climb a lot easier for us...you fuel us to keep going so thank you for your visit, we truly appreciate and hope to welcome you again!

Le Petit earns its top rating in St Martin. Remy and Myriam run an excellent small hotel. The rooms are comfortable, the location perfect, and you won't have any second thoughrs about having booked there. Highly recommend the hotel.
One tip is that the foot wash is on the adjacent building when you come back from the beach. We didn't see it at first, and tracked unnecessary sand into the room. Don't make our mistake!

We spent 4 nights at Le Petit Hotel and had a great time.
We had a 2nd floor room which was spacious, comfortable and had a nice balcony with a great view. The kitchen was well equipped and had a small dining table. The room had lots of closet space to store clothing, luggage, etc. The bathroom had dual sinks and the shower had hand and rain shower heads.
Myriam, Remy and Yamina are very professional, engaging and helpful. We had booked reservations at some restaurants and for some activities in advance of our trip, but they are able to do this as well, and can also arrange rental cars and they have helpful suggestions on things to do and see.
Breakfast was delivered to our room exactly at the time we asked for every day, and the baked goods were fabulous. Sitting on the balcony each morning, watching the ocean, enjoying croissant, pain au chocolat, almond croissants, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, etc. - one can get used to that!
Le Petit Hotel provides some unique perks. One is being able to go over to Hotel L'Esplanade and use their beautiful pool for free. We received a warm welcome there from Frank at the pool bar, and he got towels for us and set us up. Another perk Le Petit Hotel provides is a shuttle service for free in the evenings to/from the restaurant area in Grand Case. We didn't use this as we didn't mind the 10-15 minute walk. The first half of the walk to the restaurant area is not great though, because the sidewalk is minimal and you're walking alongside cars passing by - so some people will definitely appreciate the shuttle.
I would recommend having a rental car, and the hotel has free parking. The car provides lots of options for places to go and things to do, along with being able to go over to Super U to stock up on snacks, groceries, things for lunch, drinks, wine and beer.
The beach area was nice (the hotel provides loungers and small tables) and the swimming was great. The hotel is at the quiet end of Grand Case beach which we preferred. While the beach bars/restaurants were only a short walk down the beach, having some space away from this was a benefit.

This was our first trip to St. Martin, having been all over the Caribbean but not quite everywhere. The moment we landed we were greeted by our driver and attended to with endless smiles. Having told him we would be staying one week, he assured us by the end of our stay we would be wanting to extend. He was right. We picked up our rental car (highly recommended to explore the island) and headed to our destination, Le Petit Hotel. Our greeting was warm and genuine. We would get to know our hosts quite well and they us over the next 7 nights. Yamina and Remy were excellent, truly passionate about service and informative of the island and town of Grand Case, walking distance. I would consider our room a suite, fully equipped with a refrigerator, pantry, oven, stovetop, breakfast nook and balcony to enjoy the beautiful views of the sea and beach. Lounging on the beach in the day and afternoon was quiet and serene; the calm ocean steps away. Walking into the town most of our nights for cocktails and dinner was new and exciting each day. We explored the shops, beach clubs, French restaurants and local fare from the Lolos. Our vacation exploring the island and time spent at le Petit was perfect in everyway. The island has exceptional beaches, hiking, unique local town atmosphere. We were revived each day excited for the next by conversation with Yamina and Remy. When you open your bottle of champagne to celebrate, remember Remy is from Champagne, France; pour your champagne in the champagne flutes. Thank you for an amazing stay and we look forward to our return next year. All the best.

My husband and I can say enough good things about this quaint little hotel. From before we flew in to the day we left we were treated more like a guest in someone's home than a guest in a hotel. Ramy and Yamina and their staff are terrific. Loved our wonderful breakfast each morning w/ fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee and juice and baked goods that are so fresh and yummy that they are dangerous! They are happy to change things out and work w/ you if you prefer not to get something in their offerings or need more coffee for example. If you prefer cream they will give you cream. If you prefer mild they will give you milk. They really aim to please. We loved our 2nd floor room and would book this again in a heartbeat. Their beach is nice and they have comfortable chairs and umbrellas to use each day. The hotel is a short walk to the fantastic Grand Case restaurants but I found it safer to take the complementary shuttle there and back as the roads are narrow and we didn't want to walk in the dark. The driver was delightful and was always ready for us to bring us to our designated restaurant. We would call when ready for the pick up. Remy confirmed each of my reservations which was nice of him to do. Great hotel stay that I would recommend in a heartbeat. The hotel is good about giving you clean towels when requested, extra paper goods etc. Their toiletries in the shower smell great and are nice. I didn't see lotion so assuming I didn't miss it that could be a nice addition to what is offered. The hotel works closely w/ a local taxi company so should you want to have a driver waiting for you at the airport or need a ride back for your flight home, need a car rental for the day or whatever, they will bring the car right to the hotel and pick it back up. Everything they do they do well and it was consistantly service with a smile! They helped to set up our appointment for our required Covid test prior to flying home, made recommendations for us, and helped us w/ anything we needed help with.

Thank you for this thorough review! In an effort to "go green" we've recently added the shampoo / conditioner / body wash shower dispensers. There should have been a small bottle of body lotion on your bathroom counter...I will double check with the housekeepers to make sure they are providing! Thank you for pointing that out! Thrilled to know you had a successful stay all in all. We hope to welcome you back!

My wife and I have tried to book this hotel several times but it has always been sold out. This year we scheduled a Seabourn Cruise departing from Saint Martin and we’re lucky enough to get an oceanfront oversized room at Le Petit Hotel.
The room is literally 8 steps from the ocean and a 10 minute walk from the centre of Grand Case. Remy and Yamuna were incredible hosts. From a personalized continental breakfast in the morning to restaurant reservations each evening. They were there to help. And having access to Harry to Drive us to and from the restaurants each evening was a huge bonus.
We had a fantastic pre cruise stay and can’t wait to return.

From the moment you arrive in the parking lot you know you chose the right place. We only spent 2 nights here as we wanted to try the French side of the island - Remy and Yamina go above and beyond when it comes to friendliness, service and assistance. The room was immaculate and very well appointed. Breakfast served in our room was pure heaven. The location you cannot beat - literally seconds to an amazing beach with calm waters. If you want a place to relax and chill this is it. The shuttle to the restaurants really rounds out the service as the road is not that easy to walk especially at night after a wonderful meal in the local restaurants.

Without traffic 20 minutes but Grand Case has a cool little nightlife scene, Calmos Cafe, JAVA, Blue Martini.
I have no idea, since we booked within 3 weeks of arrival.
No, too small..
There is not...so sorry, we do have 2 ground floor rooms but they do book up quick!
Le Petit Hotel is a great beachfront hotel.
1) US hairdryers will not work. The electrical outlets are European-style. There will be a hairdryer in your room. If you are bringing laptops, tablets, phones, etc., you will need plug adapters for these outlets so you can plug in and charge those devices. You can buy them cheaply at Amazon, Best Buy etc.. I suspect the hotel also have some to use but for a couple of bucks each,, I suggest you buy 2-3 of them for your room
2) No security issues whatsoever. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service at night to take you to dinner and will pick you up to bring you back. The same driver will take you to dinner & bring you back to the hotel. A tip is a nice gesture.
My wife and I and another couple stayed at Le Petit Hotel for 3 nights in Nov. We loved it. The pastries you can order for breakfast are some of the best I have ever had. Remy and his wife are fabulous hosts and will do whatever is needed to make your stay great. There are lots of great restaurants for dinner on Restaurant Row, which is a 5-minute ride away. The hotel will give you great suggestions.
Have a great time!
