The Grand Case Beach Club is celebrated for its pristine rooms boasting modern amenities, kitchenettes, and stunning ocean views, with numerous travelers expressing satisfaction. Nestled in a picturesque setting, the hotel offers easy access to beaches and local dining, all framed by serene mountain vistas. While the value is generally appreciated, there are occasional concerns over specific costs.
The cleanliness of the establishment receives high marks, although seaweed presence is sometimes noted. Guests enjoy the warm atmosphere and commend the friendly service, though some find the dance music intrusive. Amenities like water sports and dining options are popular, but a few guests report minor inconveniences with room keys and pool access.

We booked for two nights initially and stayed 11!! I highly recommend asking for rooms in the 700s building as it is closer to the cafe and the rooms face the beach that is more idyllic. The other beach is also nice, but the chairs and the sun beds are on the other idyllic beach. The rooms on the other side seem a bit older - we thought about switching to a two bedroom but the ceilings weren’t as high and the bathrooms were smaller and older.
You can pay 3€ per token for one load of wash or dry here as the rooms don’t have in-room machines. The kitchen was complete with all you need to cook - although we never did because the food at the cafe and in town were amazing.
We had two issues but because of the location and views of the beach, we overlooked them as much as possible. One, the wifi always disconnects and sometimes is out. We felt it was a bigger problem on our laptops vs phones. On our laptops we constantly had to reconnect and they require a password prompt which got annoying. On our phones it was ok. But there were a few instances where the wifi was completely out. The second is that our bathrooms sometimes smelled like sewer. It was very putrid. And it wasn’t constant and it seemed like the bathrooms alternated as to which one smelled. We had an upstairs bathroom and one downstairs. We had to run the shower and sink for a few minutes to “flush” the smell. Basically I think they have some plumbing issues.
Overall it’s a very nice place to stay on one of the prettiest beaches in the island. It’s a short walk to the best restaurants in Grand Case. The parking lot is gated and they have security constantly monitoring.

Thank you very much for your posting and we are happy that we were able to meet and exceed your expectations. We have been working non-stop to constantly maintain and improve our little corner of the island, and it has been quite a challenge since Hurricane Irma in 2017...and now with the pandemic... We take note of the issues you have mentioned, and are in the process of addressing them...we want everything to be in order for every guest, and your reminder is is a great tool to ensure that we get it taken care of. Thanks again. A bientôt, on espère!

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights in February. We had stayed here one other time before the hurricane and we were impressed to see how nicely the rebuilding is going. There is still some construction but we were not bothered by it at all. This is a luxury boutique hotel frequented by families and Europeans. The water is calm here and you have the choice of a small beach or a smaller and more private cove. There's ample seating at both, and lots of shade. Staff was very helpful and Sandra was especially warm and friendly. We had great breakfasts at the restaurant on premises. The wonderful Grand Case restaurants are a short walk away. Security at the hotel was fantastic and we felt totally safe.
If you're staying for more than a couple of days, definitely stop by a grocery store and stock your kitchen and bathroom. Unfortunately the hotel does not provide any bottled water or coffee in the rooms (which is surprising considering the pricey room rates) and toiletries are super minimal and basic as well (just soap and shampoo is provided).
The hotel was nice enough to store our luggage for us and let us use their beach chairs and shower when we returned from a cruise at the tail end of our vacation as we had several hours to kill before we needed to be at the airport. However when we asked to borrow (and pay for the use of) two beach towels for the morning, we were very disappointed that management denied our request.

It seems that you "discovered" what is the essence of what we are...a simple, comfortable and peaceful oasis in a magnificent and convenient location .Thank you for your kind words about Sandra, Security and the rest of the staff, as well as your experience with the Sunset Cafe! You mentioned lack of bottled water in the rooms...we are one of the few hotels on the island that produces water and we use a reverse osmosis system that is identical to what many commercial bottlers would use, rendering our water pure and totally potable I apologize for you not being supplied with beach towels, but they are supplied to guests, and the sheer volume of what we would go through in supplying public use would impact our ability to service our overnight guests. That said, I am sure that if we would have had a ample supply that day, we would have been more than happy to make them available. They, being laundered off site, can lead to supply problems at various times of the day. Than you for taking the time to review us, and be assured that your comments are heard and taken seriously, as we use them as a vehicle to move our little resort forward!

We had a brand apartment (with loft). Everything was practically new, even smelled like new. The staff here is very friendly, they did explain to us that they can only clean rooms every 3 days due to Corona, which is fine and they said towels can be exchanged at any point.
The views here are absolutely spectacular.
The location is excellent about a 10 minute walk to all the top restaurants in SXM. (Very safe to walk)

Thanks for taking the time to review our little corner of the Caribbean, and for seeing us for what we are...a simple, friendly and constantly improving resort in a stunningly beautiful location. As we, and the world (hopefully) emerge from a very difficult and challenging time, it is a gift to us to see that our guests have appreciated our efforts and works. We hope to have you with us again in the not too distant future!

We always return to GCBC....Our room was perfect and lovingly maintained by Sandra...clean as a whistle. We were greeted with great service at the bar ( darling Milla)and in the restaurant by Thea and others. The food was good I appreciated the healthy menu choices. We also walked to local restaurants and find this area to have the best food on the island. This year we took a boat ride with Etienne and had a wonderful trip to Marigot. The restoration is a mammoth job that is still ongoing yet as guests we were able to enjoy all amenities such as beach, pool, outdoor bar, as well as plenty of seating near the beach. There is also security for those of you that worry about safety. I just can't say enough about this place and encourage you to go.
While visiting St Martin, post-Irma, one has to admire the spirit and the heart of the people. This strong spirit was reflected in the employees of the Grand Case Beach Club as they strive to continue to restore their island and resort to the highest standard. Taxi driver are welcoming and helpful as well.
( The island is now a collectivity under France but they share responsibility for the airport which is a big disappointment. Give yourselves plenty of time to get through security and be prepared to be annoyed )(

We appreciate your review, and your many return visits to GCBC! The new team that runs Sunset Cafe is charming, to say the least! The new energy is refreshing and much needed! Their willingness and desire to try new things will make for a much more dynamic partnership and we anticipate constant improvement...as we do for the resort in general. Thanks as well for mentioning Thia and Milla and Ettiene, we will pass your positive comments to them, as it is very pleasant (and important) to be recognized for a job well done, and unfortunately, negative criticism is more often shared. One clarification...Juliana Airport (SXM) on the Dutch side is entirely a Dutch side entity. It is the main portal to the island has been mired in issues since the hurricane passed in 2017. There has been considerable improvement, and every month, more gets accomplished...but there is still so much to do. It WILL improve and the sooner, the better!

As I sit waiting for our taxi to take us away from this spectacular island and hotel, I thought I would leave those thinking of coming here with these thoughts and tips:
We are a couple in our mid 50s who got tired of the all inclusive experience with mediocre food and drink and over served guests. After seeing this hotel offered by our Canadian carrier and reading all of the wonderful things on this site we went ahead and booked. We brought a separate piece of luggage for coffee, coffee filters, mustard, mayo and snacks. I also ordered the following items from ShopnDrop which is a local grocery delivery service on the island. Although they do charge an extra fee for items, it was well worth it. We ordered alcohol, Diet Pepsi, waters, creamer, lunch meat, cheese, bread and ice. All were delivered and stocked in our room upon arrival. Please see photo below which indicates all items that are included in your room.
We enjoyed making our own coffee and enjoying it on our own balcony looking at the beautiful Caribbean Ocean. We spent the entire day on our own beach, which was not crowded at all. No running around at 6:00 am looking for chairs here.
We would head up to our room for lunch or refresh our drinks at our leisure then head to our room around 5:30 to shower and get ready for dinner. Please head down the road for dinner every evening! Road is safe to walk in the dark and security is walking up and down all evening. We ate at the Lolos, L’Auberge Gourmand, Ocean 82, La Villa, and Bistrot Cairabe. All the French restaurants were amazing! I felt like I was in France every time I sat down and the Lolos offer local fare.
Although we are sad to say goodbye, we will absolutely be back! Thank you Grand Case Beach Club and island of St. Martin!

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights end of Feb 2022. We had a great stay and this was a beautiful property with well maintained grounds. The whole place felt very private, safe and quiet as it is at the end of the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the water sports that are included for guests (paddle boards, kayaks, snorkle gear). The beach for swimming is calm and in a protected bay. The restaurant Sunset Cafe had a variety of options and was very good. Sunset cafe and the whole resort has beautiful views all around. The resort is also a quick (5 minute) walk to all the amazing restaurants in Grand Case.
They only clean the room every other day which was disappointing and with all the beach activities/warm weather we felt it would have made a difference to have it cleaned every day.
The bed is really firm and not overly comfortable. Just one thin cover sheet (no duvet/comforter) is provided but you can ask for blanket if needed.
I also wanted to note that you can't walk along the beach all the way to Grand Case Beach the beach that the resort is on does not connect.
Overall we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return.

Thank you for you for your review! The every other day cleaning was done to minimize COVID transmission and the beds are very high quality European brand…a bit firmer than what some of our northern guests are used to. Being in the tropics, many find the light bedding a lovely change, as blankets and duvets are absolutely unnecessary. The weather is warm and balmy, and even with fresh air ventilation, a blanket is probably not needed. But, for those who have the need to refrigerate their rooms, there is always a blanket in the closet. Many thanks for choosing GVBC, it is honestly appreciated!

We had an amazing time at Grand Case during our stay in June. We are a family with one teen and had plenty of activities and local options to enjoy. We rented a one bedroom with a loft. The room was spacious and had a fully equipped kitchen. The balcony was also large enough enjoy a family breakfast every morning. The views were amazing! Grand Case had two beautiful beaches with plenty of soft white sand and warm, calm water (free of sea weed and rocks). There were always plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas as well as free use of snorkel equipment, paddle boards, rafts, and kayaks. The activity desk had a daily snorkel excursion to Creole Rock that was more than worth the cost. A staff member joined us in the water and highlighted many tropical fish as well as sharing insight about the local reef environment. It was one of the best snorkel tours I have had. The staff was friendly. Our room was cleaned spotlessly every day. The on-site restaurant and bar were good. We were also able to walk a short distance to town which held a variety of cuisine options and local shopping. We rented a car and did not have any difficulty with parking. The car rental allowed us to easily access tourist spots throughout the island. We would highly recommend the Grand Case Beach Club.

We absolutely love GCBC!! Exceeded all of our expectations on all fronts. The hotel was right on the beach, when we arrived there was a sunset welcome drinks which gave us the opportunity to explore the pool, the property and meet other guests. Not to mention the drinks were terrific! The hotel was walking distance to some of the best restaurants on the island and some of the best restaurants I can remember eating at ever. We stayed in a room with a loft bedroom and kitchenette overlooking the sea. It was spectacular to wake up to such a beautiful view every morning and it was convenient to be able to go to the grocery store which was not too far and stock up on a few quick breakfast and lunch snacks. One day our oven was giving us a little trouble and we called the staff and they came almost immediately and replaced the entire oven. Above and Beyond what I would have expected for them to do to try to help! It was so nice of them and my pregnant self was very happy to be able to eat my boxed pizza without any delay! I also used the gym every day while there and it was always spotless and had everything I needed to get a good quick workout in. Most importantly the beach club had chairs out on the beach that were always available and provided for the most relaxing trip!! We had plans of going out to explore the rest of the island but we enjoyed our time so much that we only ever left the beach club to eat dinners. We will be back and look forward to coming right back here. Thanks to the friendly staff and great team on this property for making this baby moon such a memorable and wonderful trip. A much needed getaway after a year of having to stay put because of the pandemic. Also very much appreciated the on-site covid tests so that we could get back to us with results in hand without having to travel to far or search too hard about where to get test done.

Welcome to paradise!! This oasis has it all from ideal walking location to fabulous restaurants with an array of choices to the amazing friendly staff! The rooms are updated and nicely appointed. Keeping with Covid protocols the cleaning service is limited to every three days BUT if you need anything, the front desk is more than happy to accommodate. Amenities are outstanding from superb dining onsite at Sunset Cafe with spectacular ocean views, to water sports hut with complimentary rafts, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. if you want to pass on going to restaurants, there are grills to prepare on the grounds! They have thought of everything!! Everyone is very friendly. Enjoy two beaches yards from your room and the sound of the calm waves as you watch the sunset! The beaches are clean and like powder with clear blue water! I was here for girls trip in February and back again as couples in May! We will return again!

Could not have said it better…and we look forward to seeing you again soon…try not to keep us waiting too long! When we first got to town we felt underwhelmed as the town is still recovering from hurricane Irma therefore there a lot of damaged and abandoned homes/properties on your drive to Grand Case. But when we arrived at Grand Case Beach Club, it was above our expectations. We stayed at unit 57, which was a 2 bedroom/2.5 baths townhouse style condo with a kitchen, living room and 2 balconies facing the ocean. Very updated and very comfortable for a family of 4. We ate breakfast every day on property at Sunset Café and it was fresh and amazing. We ate lunch there twice and highly recommend the whole lobster and the mussels. The staff at the cafe, as well as housekeeping, security, grounds maintenance, front desk were very friendly and very helpful in answering all of our questions. Internet was not working properly one day during our stay and the front desk was very prompt in calling in the internet company and getting the technician over to fix the issue timely on a Saturday! We walked to town each night for dinner and felt very safe. It’s only a 7 minute walk. There’s security along the way to/from to town. We ate dinner at Ocean 82, Bistrot Caraibes and Le Pressoir and must say that all 3 places were amazing (checkout their reviews). We also had lunch at Scooby’s one day. It was just ok. This was our first time in St Maarten and we will definitely come back. Be sure to rent a car at the airport (it’s cheap) so that you can drive around the entire island and go to the grocery store nearby (Super U). We also had an opportunity to meet the General Manager Stephen Wright. He was very knowledgeable regarding the area and real estate investment. Don’t forget to bring cat treats for Pablo and his mom that live on property, they are super sweet and friendly kitties. We can’t wait to come!

Barely heard a thing, and we were there during cement pumping. We could see the boom from the truck otherwise you wouldn’t have even know construction was going on. I wouldn’t sweat the work going on unless having a pool at a beach front property is a breaking point for you. Safe travels.
No, but there is a restaurant on site.
Unfortunately you can smoke on the beach. A real bummer considering you’re practically on top of other people the chairs are so close. Not sure about balconies or pool.
Good morning. Towels are available , temperature is always nice, check weather app for further information. It's a well preserved environment.
No nowhere required.
