I was going to a football match in Castlederg so booked in here for Sunday lunch before the match. The place is clean but a the decor a bit out of date. The dining room is light and airy but a little cramped and again the decor is dated. The staff are friendly and efficient and the the food is...

We recently stayed at The Derg Arms in Castlederg Co. Tyrone. It is a fantastic family run business which caters for coeliacs and children are more than welcome. The rooms are very clean and nothing is too much trouble for this lovely family. I highly recommend this place and hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

The Derg Arms - or "Sammys" as it is better known - always provides good, reliable food. The Cajun Duo or Peppered Chicken burger are my particular favourites. Breakfast, lunch or evening meal - the Derg Arms can be depended on. They also have quite an extensive range of spirits from local distilleries - Jawbox Gin being my favourite. The...

Breakfast of orange juice, porridge (excellent) Ulster fry (too big!!!) toast etc was great. Bar was busy at night but we heard no noise in our room....

Was in here last weekend (valentine's weekend) for a meal with my boyfriend and his brother and his girlfriend- the food was fine, and the staff in the restaurant were very attentive. It is a pity that Sammy himself cannot show the same manners. After our meal we went into the bar for a few drinks, upon leaving Sammy was...

In Sept 2016, my wife and I travelled from Canada for our first visit to Castlederg - to see the home of some of my ancestors. We spent five nights at the Derg Arms and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We had a large clean, comfortable and quiet room in the center of Castlederg along with breakfast options for any...

The food served is always to a high standard and can always be counted on for a beautiful meal...The service from both restaurant and bar staff is very high also and always served with a smile. I can always return for a guaranteed similar experience.
