We spent a week at the Hermitage Inn with family members and loved every minute of it. The staff was so friendly and the food was the best! Cottages were beautiful and breezy. It was so nice not to have televisions and enjoy the simpler life. We all decided we want to go back soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Hermitage. The staff are so warm and friendly and the food is great. The cottages are airy and our sleep quality was excellent in the huge bed. The whole place is spotless and very clean. We loved the old world charm, the antique furnishings and its position on the side of Nevis mountain. The...

I new nothing if this place as my wife's friend had booked our stay so I assumed it was a B&B, little did I know that this was by far the loveliest boutique hotel/inn/guest rooms place (it's difficult to pigeon hole) that I have ever been too. (Visit the website but even that doesn't do it justice). We had 10...

We had lunch on the veranda , and thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfect place to try the local dish, roti--a curry wrap. Would love to go back for drinks at the bar with it's cool, old horseracing theme/art. This whole property had a nice, laid-back vibe. Didn't go in any, but the cottages looked nice. Everything appeared clean, well-maintained and managed.

Perfect for a getaway! My family and I stayed here for a few days prior to my wedding and we loved every moment! We rented out the great Yellow house and another cottage. Both were beautifully decorated in island fashion and felt so comfortable! The main house had wrap around porches and comfortably slept a family of 6. The cottage...

I consider myself fairly well travelled but I have never experienced a holiday such as the 10 days we have just experienced at The Hermitage! It was to celebrate a special anniversary and from the moment we arrived to find flowers on our bed to welcome us (it continued to the last day where they said Goodbye!) we knew we...

It was a pleasure to stay in this friendly family run small hotel. One almost felt like a house guest! Arrived on a Wednesday to spit roast pig and stunning salads and side dishes. There was a delay in the gluten free diet getting through to the kitchen but we got there in a couple of days - Island time!!...

On a Wednesday evening the Hermitage offer a traditional spit roast buffet. Make sure you book - it is popular. A spit roast whole pig is accompanied with loads of local delicacies and salads. We weren't staying so we had not seen the property before. It is probably worth a visit in the daytime too. We sat outside for a...

Lovely family run and family friendly where everyone is treated like family. I love the Wednesday nite buffet, the selection of local delicacies are such that even with me food allergies I had no problem. Breakfast of coconut french toast and homemade sausage is beyond words! I've never had a more relaxing vacation. Much preferred to 4 seasons.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hermitage is a small plantation inn with an excellent reputation for its charm and warm, West Indian hospitality. The guest rooms are like gingerbread cottages and are styled after the old Planter’s house with a tradition of elegant West Indian style, antiques, mahogany four poster canopy beds, and private verandahs, with swaying hammocks, in an orchard like setting of mango trees and tropical plants. The Hermitage offers tranquility and serenity in its peaceful environment. ... more   less
