We were lucky enough to get back to the Sugar Reef for Old Year's (New Year's Eve) - our second time this past year. Everything was just perfect! This time, we divided our stay between the French House and the Beach House, which was fun and I would recommend! The French House is quiet, relaxed and we mostly had it...

Wonderful location on the east side of Bequia. Distressed driftwood furniture and relaxed Caribbean ambience, good food with Palm trees in front of the beach.awesome Dawson gets a mention for friendly service.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay up at the French House - beautiful views of the sea and the islands of Battowia and Balliceaux. The breakfasts varied from day to day and included home-made ingredients and fresh fruit and juices. We especially enjoyed the restaurant down at the beach - excellent soups and entrees. All of the staff...

A 10 minute taxi ride, or 50 minute walk from Port Elizabeth, the small, charming main town, Sugar Reef is on the east coast of the island. We stayed in the French House, a short walk from the 'café/bar' and the beach. Fantastic views and a very comfy bed. The winds were very strong whilst we were there, so no...

Unbelievably we have visited a fourth time. The same excellent service, wonderful food and delightful ambience. The professional and friendly staff go to great lengths to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday. We simply cannot recommend it too highly. We had friends visit us who were staying elsewhere on Bequia - they were green with envy! A fifth visit...

We have just finished a delightful lunch at the Sugar Reef, following a relaxing morning at the turtle sanctuary and a couple of hours reading on their beach loungers. The lobster soup was light and tasty with medley of fresh beautifully cooked vegetables. We followed that with the roasted corn and soft goats cheese salad. Which I am going to...

We stayed here for a week and had a great time. We were in one of the 3 rooms by the beach (Petit Martinque) and it was very comfortable however, to be 'picky' the shower was poor and there was slight damp which could get worst if not treated. Finally as there were 3 rooms you would have expected at...

Great food and view. Quiet but easy access into town. Unbelievable beach three yards from the dining room!!! Fantastic food at a good price. Finding it difficult to get back up to speed back at home. Dump your phone and chill out in a major way.

We stayed in the 'Secret Room' up at the French House it was lovely and private. We all had breakfast together which helped us to make friends with the other guests (max of 10). The hotel is small and that is part of the charm. I fell in love with Susie which is one of the owners dogs. The food...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sugar Reef Bequia offers a local, natural, sensual Caribbean experience at our bar, restaurant and eight guest rooms on a 65-acre, beachfront coconut plantation. Our guest rooms maintain the tradition of living in sumptuous luxury open to the views and breezes. The Beach House, with decor inspired by the Caribbean of the 1940s-70s (think James Bond in Jamaica), has three beachfront rooms each with a private patio and king-size four-poster bed. On the hillside above, historic French House offers a British colonial experience with spacious antique-filled rooms and breathtaking views over the estate, the ocean, and the Grenadines. ... more   less
