Stayed in a garden cottage. Overall was quaint and nice but had a rather tiny bathroom with just 1 sink. Grounds are really picturesque and well kept. Beach and water is extremely pretty but the problem is due to rocks along the shoreline you can really only enter the water easily at the very end of the beach. One complaint...

Dear Sir, Madam, Thank you for your review of the Cotton House. Happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. As for the children on the beach, UK mid-term was in full swing and the island do receive more families than usual during thee 2 weeks. We hope to see you again very soon perhaps in a more quiet period...

We spent 10days in the Cotton House and enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the place . The staff are lovely and particularly well managed by Claudio who is exceptional at managing the restaurants . He really is very professional and an asset to this hotel. The hotel is small 17rooms so maximum say 35 guests but it is owned by...

Mustique in general but Cotton House specifically provides a real getaway destination for the most discriminating yet low-profile seeking traveler. The beach is small but lovely. The beachside restaurant serves delicious fresh seafood with impeccable service. There is none of the attitude that you might find in St Barts, or the mañana style of the other surrounding islands. Everyone smiles...

My review is on file for this delightful destination . The Cotton House is a very laid back upper scale low key hotel . It's the island and the children that make it . Very protective of the residences and yet very inviting . I'm glad I had the pleasure to fly in and out daily to hang by the...

You can't review The Cotton House without reviewing Mustique, where it pretty much the only hotel. This is old-school West Indies: very exclusive, very off-grid. The hotel itself gets most things right: great food, great bar, great service - by soon-come Caribbean standards. The rooms are tired but elegant. The pool had some issues. But dammit the Caribbean is a...

The Cotton House and Mustique together can make for a great experience that you might get hooked on. We love the hotel's style, its staff and the sort of people that like it. We stayed in a delightful duplex cottage with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and our own terrace and pool. Great gardens and an old sugar mill all lead down to a lovely sandy beach. The main restaurant is on an open verandah overlooking the sea and gardens and the beach restaurant does an amazing Caribbean BBQ. The staff are extremely...

Unfortunately, the Cotton House was closed for a 2 month renovation while we stayed on the island at the Firefly. So we went to the Cotton House for lunch and snorkeling. We were immediately greeted by the music staff and manager as soon as we stepped onto the property. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, drinks, and some decent snorkeling on...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cotton House is as intriguing as it is beautiful. Originally an 18th century sugar plantation hidden away on the private island of Mustique, Lord Glenconner gave it a new lease of life in the early 1970s blending lush tropical beauty with plantation-style elegance and creating an exclusive retreat tailormade for visiting high flyers. Today it is owned by the Mustique Company, who’ve introduced such contemporary ‘must haves’ as a designer spa and infinity-edge pool, the romantic colonial mood remains evident throughout. The resort stands on a picturesque hilltop between the tranquil Caribbean Sea and the windswept Atlantic Ocean. Just 17 charming rooms & suites provide the accommodation dotted throughout the 13 acre grounds and thoughtfully equipped with mini-bars, CD players and private terraces or balconies. Private plunge pools are exciting new additions to eleven of the rooms, whilst a new two-bedroom villa with its own swimming pool and 24 hour butler gives a taste of the island-style living. A perfect hideaway and intimate destination. ... more   less
