The island is gorgeous with shades of pale blue water, and donkeys, dogs and horses roaming the streets and beaches. Our experience at Bohio was not so great, the manager just seemed very short and preoccupied when we arrived with no welcome or word on when our room would be read

Hi James, We are disappointed that you did not enjoy your quick one night stay here in November. We cater both to non-diver and divers alike and our non-divers do enjoy our free paddle boards, kayaks, hobie cats and snorkel equipment. We are saddened that you did not appreciate that our check in time is at 3 pm and we could not accommodate your early arrival in the morning until the room was serviced. We are rated as a 3 star hotel and our website clearly reflects the hotel rooms and resort area quality. We did offer you a discounted rate with a free upgrade to a king room and are happy to hear you enjoyed our lovely beach and outside resort area! Since the two category 5 hurricanes last year, we are awaiting cable t.v. to be re-installed in our guest rooms and yes we too are very anxious for this work to be completed on island. We do have a large screen t.v. in the indoor lounge area where guests love to get together to enjoy sports and movies together. Ginny & Tom

We cruised on Princess and booked an excursion through Shore Excursions that included snorkeling, rum tasting, drink of our choice and use of a lounge chair on the beach. Perfect little day in Grand Turk. Gave us a chance to get away from cruisers. Snorkeling guide was amazing! H

We have been to many islands and a lot of “dive resorts”. My spouse does not dive and it is important that we find a location that works for us both. Bohio has a great dive team with beautiful dive sites, including the 7000ft wall. It also has a great beach, fabulous dining an

We lucked into finding this little gem of a dive resort while staying on Grand Turk Island recently. It's owned and operated by Tom & Ginny Allen, very personable Canadians who have operated the resort for going on 15 years. Their attitude is effervescent and infectious. They

The wall is incredible, with so many swim-throughs yet to explore. I have never seen this many sharks in the Caribbean. On the day before I was politely asked to leave (kidding), we had the treat of three dolphins swimming alongside. I love Grand Turk and all of my new friends at

How do we get there from the Providenciales airport? Also, do we need to make reservations for diving?
You will take a puddle jumper plane. Roughly 30 passenger twin prop. Its about a 25 min flight. If you book on of the packages, they include this flight and taxi from the airport on Grand Turk. Intercaribbean is the airline we flew on. You really don't need reservations for diving... Just let them know you want to go diving and go. If there are more guests going, they will try to coordinate timing. They mostly dive in the morning, but, if you want an afternoon dive also, just let them know.

I’ve read several reviews (one quite recent) complaining about the shower water never getting hot. Is this accurate? Planning on going in May but cold showers are a bust for me.
Water is a big deal for us to. But my mom and I had no problems with the water temperature at Bohio.

Do you know when you will be operational again after Irma? I'm so sorry for what happened to all the families on those islands. It's heartbreaking to say the least.
Thank you for your concern - it's appreciated. While Turks and Caicos was hit hard by recent hurricanes, we are getting things back up to speed at Bohio. We are targeting a December 15th re-opening. If you have any questions, please do contact us at our information e-mail on our website.

I and 18 of my friends are supposed to be traveling to Bohio at the end of October. How has Hurricane Irma impacted the resort and the island of Grand Turk?

Does this resort have hair dryers in the room? Most US hotels have them and I'm worried about being able to fix my hair before dinner.
Yes there are hair dryers in all rooms.
