The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos captivates guests with its prime location, lauded for easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. While the hotel's cleanliness receives consistent accolades, opinions on amenities and rooms are divided; some appreciate the spacious comfort, whereas others find them lacking.
Noise can be an issue, with disturbances from both daytime setups and nocturnal revelers. Mixed service experiences and questions of value leave some guests expecting more from the Ritz-Carlton brand, despite the property's lively atmosphere and picturesque setting.

Detailed Reviews
The Ritz Carlton at Turks & Caicos was my first experience staying at a luxury hotel and in our opinion, it was worth every penny (especially for any romantic getaway).
Upon arrival, Richie greeted us with a glass of Prosecco and a warm welcome to the Ritz. He gave us a brief tour around the hotel and escorted us to our room where our luggage was delivered to us. The room had everything we could've possibly needed and even had a Ritz-insulated water bottle for us to keep (a perfect souvenir)! Room service was also very attentive and came to tidy up the room about 3 times a day.
I also wanted to take the time to give a special shoutout to two employees: Richie Bersabe and Evanson.
Richie Bersabe, with Guest Services, made my experience at the Ritz very memorable. Ritchie gave us helpful tips on where to go, what to do, and was always ready to answer any questions we may have or listen to feedback on how to improve our stay at the Ritz. Richie was always professional and even came back to the hotel (on his day off) to wish us goodbye!
As a native, Evanson knew all the excursions Turks had to offer & gave us great tips about the best places to go and eat. Seeing him always put a smile on our faces (:
We are so grateful to have met them during our stay at the Ritz at Turks & Caicos.
P.S. The Ritz also provided on-site COVID testing on weekdays from 10am-12pm. **Please confirm with the concierge regarding further inquiries on testing and costs.
Overall, it was an amazing experience and we can't wait to come back!

This was our first trip to Turks and Caicos. The Ritz opened about 6 weeks ago. That said, we never experienced any new opening issues and the service was impeccable. The open-air lobby provides a fantastic view of the pool and ocean. The property grounds are very nice and will need several years to grow and be lush. Our room had spectacular views of the ocean. It was large with 2 queen beds and plenty of space for our suitcases so you didn't stumble over them. The bathroom is HUGE. But, what really makes the Ritz Turks and Caicos special is the quality of the service and the staff. Everyone from the front desk and guest services to the waitstaff and housekeeping were so pleasant and helpful. The pool and beach staff were always available to provide towels, setup our area, and follow up throughout the day for any of our needs. We ordered lunch poolside several days and the service was fast and the food was excellent. There was no difference in the quality from dining in the restaurant or eating poolside. The poolside food was served in trays that made it easy to eat. The beach is breathtaking and having the Lady Grace catamaran pull up directly to the beach for snorkeling or sunset cruises is a huge plus. I find it very hard to ding this property for anything. I would have preferred a more classic architecture for the area, but that is my only (minor) issue.

This hotel has the potential to be incredible because of the beautiful beach: however, there are definite kinks.
All good and beverage service is way too slow—even for “island time”. Requesting water at the pool or beach could take 3 or 40 reminders until receiving water 40 minutes later.
At times, there was no staff to be found at the pool.
We were kept up all night by a loud banging from 10pm to 7am.
The beds and pillows are very comfortable, but the furniture is too large for the room. The chaise is very bulky and too big for the space. The table and chairs block access to the drawers for clothing.
No art on hallway walls
The housekeeping is bare minimal. For example, I dropped my eyeliner and it left a brown mark on the ground. When I used a tissue to pick it up, it smeared. They did not pay attention to detail. My toddler often would open our closet door before leaving the room. Housekeeping never even shut it.
The hotel needs new management and a better lunch menu. We ended up having lunch at seven stars hotel next door which was way better.
The COVID testing was extremely disorganized. What should have taken 3 minutes took 90 minutes.
All in all, It’s a beautiful hotel, but they need new management because it’s not up to a ritz Carlton standards. Every guest was complaining to management and to other guests.

The hotel is beautiful. The property is amazing. They simply opened too soon. The staff is absolutely amazing. They are trying. The Director of Operations(Fiona) was unbelievable. She deserves the highest recognition. She listened to every concern and tried to accommodate. The restaurant manager (Dwayne) was very present. The new steakhouse manager was working hard to service the customers. Give them more time(months). We waited over 3 hours for our room to be ready and we did not arrive early(after 3:00 pm). Everything is not available. The spa was opened. I had a wonderful massage, but could not take advantage of anything else in the spa, because the sauna, steam, and whirlpool was not up and running. In my opinion that is part of the spa experience. We had to beg for towels. The team kept a smile on their faces and kept apologizing over and over. They were put in a really awkward situation. I have never had to ask for toilet paper at a hotel, let alone a Ritz. Pack your toiletries because there was non in the rooms(shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, soap). When we got towels, we asked for extra, the cleaning staff actually removed clean towns from our room and left none, none...I am sure this property will be up to the level of service and amenities you come to expect from a Ritz, but you may want to wait a few months.

I am writing this review as I am still at this Resort. This was a short trip with my daughter for her Spring Break. I don’t like to complain and nick pick because I know things happen and I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.
I have been at this resort for 4 days thus far. Lots of things I overlooked. This Resort has kinks in service that need to be addressed for the amount of money that is being spent at this hotel. I reserved a cabana for $545 and received service all day long. Every 5 minutes someone was attending to the needs of everyone in the Cabanas.
Today I am sitting poolside on the lounge chairs, service was subpar to non existent at the pool. I’m not sure if it was understaffed today or not. Several people left their chairs unattended for hours to go where ever and come back and some I did not see all day. I’ve been sitting here since 10am. These chairs were never touched, things were never removed and not one employee asked if someone was sitting in them. My daughter and I leave to go and have lunch at the restaurant on the premises and I leave personal belongings on the chair. An employee that is servicing the pool area ask if we
are returning to the pool area and I said yes. We return in a hour to find our seats occupied by someone and my personal items removed.
I walk over to pool station and ask the individual where are my belongings and why were they removed. He responded with I apology and we will reassign the seat for you. I explained to the gentleman that he had ask if I was leaving and I told him we were going for lunch and returning. Everyone around us that left their seats were still intact and untouched why did you just decide to move my things after I explained I would be returning.
Disrespected and Rude is how I was treated.I have spent over $1,700 a night to stay here plus all the gratuities, taxes, service charges and any other fee they attach to your bill daily.
I will never return with my family to this hotel. I don’t feel welcomed and my money will be spent elsewhere. I have traveled to Dubai, Aruba, Jamaica, Bahamas and etc never has this happened.

We visited TCI for a restful vacation and certainly achieved this goal.
As this was our first visit to TCI we would like to share our five night experiences from start to finish.
Upon arrival there were 3 other planes arriving at the same time and as our plane came in last there was about a 90 min delay getting through customs. We understand this is not common, but the fast pass option would have come in handy. We also choose to secure a private car for at cost of $100 which was marginally worth it over the $40 we paid for the return in a taxi van including tip.
The moment we walked through the Ritz entrance the experience was great with a beautiful lobby, glass of sparking wine and no wait to check in. We had room 3417 (4th floor) deluxe ocean view which was a mid-line room but was very comfortable, well appointed and a great ocean view (higher floor and more central would have been better). We then had a late lunch at the sushi bar which is also wonderful... but very expensive and worth it. While there did the sunset sail on the Lady Grace, took out a Hobie Cat for a 45min sale, borrowed snorkel gear and walked about 1.5 miles down the beach for lunch and a snorkel at corral gardens. For dinners we recommend: Grace's Cottage, Provence by Eric (chef's table) and Infinity (all waking distance from the hotel). We enjoyed breakfast each morning at the Ritz with a terrific view (FYI you can order a subset of the buffet if you just want say pastries which are great or cereal)

My family and I just returned from a glorious five night stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Turks and Caicos. I must give a huge shout-out to Florence our concierge during our stay. She went above and well beyond to make sure our needs were met! Before even arriving, we had some issue with one of our daughters being approved by TCI to travel. Florence spoke with her colleagues and helped to facilitate the approval. If it weren’t for Florence, I’m not sure we would have been able to travel.
The hotel was exquisite. The lobby is wide open and airy, with gorgeous decor. A palm tree lined walkway leads you directly to the pools and beach. The beach was quiet, pristine and the water was crystal clear and turquoise. The staff at the beach did everything they could to make us as comfortable as possible. They were constantly coming around to make sure we didn’t need anything. They were kind, friendly and always had a smile on their face.
The rooms we had were well appointed. My husband and I had a suite with an adjoining room to our daughters. Our daughters had a room with two queen size beds. All the rooms had a balcony. The bathrooms were large with a separate area for the toilet. The rooms also offered an oversized tub.
Each of the rooms offered an espresso machine and the pods were replenished daily. The hotel provided turndown service nightly and we really enjoyed the piece of chocolate and water each night.
The hotel is ideally located next to shopping, some restaurants and bars as well as an ice cream store. We had a great time a few of the nights at Danny Buoys which was just a two minute walk from the hotel. There was also a great restaurant in the lobby of the Ritz featuring sushi.
I can’t say enough positive things about the resort. It was everything we wanted in a vacation and more.

Currently staying at the new Ritz in beautiful Turks.
Pros…the island is beautiful and on a new hotel everything is fresh and clean. You are treated with smiles and champagne, which is always a nice touch. The beach chairs are plentiful and the beach staff can’t do enough for you. They even bring out fruit punch in the middle of the hot day.
The room itself is spacious… a large balcony and bathroom with a soaking tub give it a little extra touch. I am enjoying the turn down service with fresh boxes of water and chocolates. There are Nespresso machines and plenty of coffee to choose from. In addition, the have Ion water machines everywhere and they provide the reusable water bottles. I am also pleased with the hat and beach bag that was ready for me in my room.
The gym is lovely and there aren’t a lot of weight machines, but plenty of free weights and cardio machines to get the job done.
Cons…. Well I was told that I was being upgraded as a Bonvoy member. I was supposed to get a call when my room was ready, that never happened. Hours later I went back and asked for a status update. I opened my room door, on the first floor….and my ocean view is completely obstructed my trees. It sort of ruined the excitement of booking an ocean view. I was told my bags were already in my room, and when I got to my room, they were not. Seems kind of a big mistake to not know where my luggage is. Worst of all…there is an anniversary welcome to a couple who I guess was supposed to be staying in my room… I am traveling solo.
Besides that it’s really nice.
UPDATE: the staff went out of their way to apologize for what happened yesterday. They personally called my room and sent a snack with a personalized note. I understand that mistakes happen and I really appreciate the staff owning up to what happened and finding a way to make it right. Thank you thank you

Our experience was so bad, that I’m taking the time to write my first review!
We are a Ritz Carlton family. I have the old Ritz Carlton credit card and use it for club upgrades regularly. We have stayed at over 20 different Ritz Carlton properties and this is the only property that I would not recommend. In fact, I would encourage people to change their travel plans. This is not a real Ritz Carlton!
The thing that makes a Ritz the Ritz, is the service. We had an issue at check-in that was the fault of the operator who booked club upgrade. The lady at front desk and her supervisor were so rude that they actually made my wife cry! Their solution was to have us book another room at over $1200/night and have our young daughters stay in a separate not connected room. Who would suggest that? Finally, after more than an hour of frustrating conversations with numerous people, there was a supervisor who found a room with a pull out couch for the kids. This isn’t the only issue. No one helps at the beach. Housekeeper is grumpy. They don’t use the trademark ritz asprey purple water toiletries. Drinks at the beach are made with Jose Cuervo and Bacardi. Club level offers montezuma tequila as an option. This is not what you expect at a “5 star” property. This place reminds me of a new courtyard by Marriott I stayed at on south padre island. I could go on, but you get the point!
I am giving this resort 2 stars, because the club level personnel are good, especially Chris. She just got here from the Ritz in Dubai and understands the Ritz level of service. She should give a class to everyone else!
I’m summary, if you are looking for a Ritz Carlton Caribbean beach vacation, stay at Aruba, Grand Cayman or St. Thomas. They are far superior properties. Change your plans if you have the opportunity! I should’ve listened to prior reviews.

We liked our stay. Couple. Spent 10 days in November 2021.
Pros:
Best beach
Everything is new
Spacious room with comfy bed and crispy white linens
Great views of the ocean
BLT Restaurant is great. Service and quality of food fantastic.
Great beach service ( John was amazing, thank you!) , we also loved extra complimentary treats by the beach (popsicles, spicy pineapple, fruit punch, frozen treats…)
Spa massages were awesome.
Sushi bar was amazing. Whoever makes the sushi in the kitchen rocks! Yummy.
Best drinks are at the sushi bar done by Mildoures ( maybe misspelled, sorry), she should be in charge of all the bars or teach the rest
Lots of great staff that go out of their way to make your stay wonderful.
Cons:
The view from the room was partially obstructed by the other building
Not enough closet space to hung dresses or longer items. Closets are not well designed.
Slow, very slow service at the breakfast restaurant
Bathroom has very poor ventilation.
The hallways need to be vacuumed far more, seen them dirty often.
Room Could be cleaner.
Overall our stay was great.

Floats are definitely weather dependent. One day, yes…the next day way too choppy. As for restaurants, I reviewed 2 that were very good. Indigo is a short drive and the best restaurant on the island, bar none.
