We rented a 1-bedroom condo. It was very spacious with a king bed in a separate bedroom, full kitchen, dining area and livingroom with pullout. Our balcony faced the port where cruise ships came in, so we would sip our coffees watching the activity. Their pool area is wonderful. The freeform pool was sparkling clean and with plenty of chaise...

This facility also serves as a time-share, which we didn't understand. When we first checked in, they were going to switch us to another room mid-week. That's not what we signed up for! It turned out they did not move us. And they definitely live on "Island Time", don't be in a hurry for breakfast, etc. But the view was...

As other reviewers already mentioned, the view from the rooms or the pool Area is spectacular. Other than that, the hotel needs care. Our room was large, but outdated. The grounds also need repairs. If you intend only to have a place to spend the night, it may be all you need, but it is not a resort to spend...

The rooms were very clean , roomy and had great views. The pool , restaurants and bars were excellent. Loved the food at the pool bar (great french fries) also loved the pizza at the Banana Bar (great drinks too). Staff at the hotel were great - very friendly. Was unable to enjoy the entire resort since we were only...

Had clean rooms, there was a view of the cruise ships coming in. There were restaurants open every night on the resort, don't forget to visit the room with a view for $5 apps 5-7 every night. Great for people who don't need the all inclusive resorts but still want food options for dinner in the resort.

I really enjoyed this resort. The room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurants/bars were pretty good! It was walking distance to some nice shopping areas. The walk back is kind of steep so be prepared if you do that. Also, it's not super close to beaches. We stayed there for two nights before heading to the airport! Good views....

I've stayed at BB several times and have been pleased each time. Although I do prefer Pirates Pensions, the other units are acceptable. They keep it clean. The biggest benefit of BB is the location to the city. If you are in fair to outstanding shape, walking to town is a must. I did a daily walk to the airport...

We were pleasantly surprised when we traded time share points for a week in a studio at this hotel. All of the villas have great views of Charlotte Amalie harbor. Our studio had a king bed and was much more spacious than we expected, including the bathroom. Although there are reports of brown water on St. Thomas, we did not...

Room was terrific--overlooks Charlotte Amalie and harbor. Having two fine dining restaurants (Room With a View and Banana Tree) on the property and a 2 minute walk from our room was wonderful. In addition, we had two grilles (pool side for breakfast and lunch) and Cabana Bar which were great spots to eat, snack and relax. Be sure to take...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bluebeard's Castle is an historic property dating back to the 1600's. The resort occupies an entire hilltop with spectacular views overlooking the harbor and town of Charlotte Amalie. Its signature red rooftops are among the first sights for arriving cruise passengers. The resort includes a centuries-old fortress bearing the name "Bluebeard," after the infamous pirate, and check-in takes place in the former residence of the Danish governor of the island. This tropical paradise is the perfect place for a private getaway as it is set on a secluded hilltop and overlooks the harbor of St. Thomas. Bluebeard's Castle is centrally located in the most desirable part of the island with world class shopping minutes away. With only a short drive from some of the most popular beaches in the Caribbean where you can enjoy boating, scuba diving, snorkeling and windsurfing. The island itself offers a wonderful assortment of duty-free shopping, world-class restaurants (including the top-rated ROOM WITH A VIEW on location!), hot night spots, and a variety of local flavor to satisfy every taste. This resort features history, breathtaking views, and easy access to town. Beaches are literally minutes away so you can visit them all including easy ferry rides to St. John and the British Virgin Islands (Tortola and Virgin Gorda). You will see why owners at the resort are passionate about their units. It is this passion that will once again be the reason that Bluebeard's Castle will become a sought after destination resort. Many lucky RCI members will take advantage of this now! The resort is in the midst of a historic multi-million dollar remodel that will change all that you have heard. The proof is found in our regular maintenance reports as well as our news and picture sections. Also, schedules of on-resort dining are now posted in these reports.
