This “resort “ has forgotten they are in the hospitality business. There wasn’t one friendly person here. The front desk person was overworked, alone and rude. The place was dirty, dead cockroaches in our room. The AC dripped water all night long so there were puddles on our floor in the morning. The remote on the TV didn’t work so that was useless. Garbage wasn’t picked up for days. Find someplace else.

At a friend's recommendation, I made at Emerald Beach Resort. I'd seen the property years ago, but never stayed there. I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance of the property is quaint and comfortable and the beach on Lindbergh Bay is clean and relaxing. Emerald Beach has all the full-service hotel amenities of larger resorts that charge twice the price. I look forward a longer stay there on the next visit to St Thomas.

I would give them a zero if I could, they don’t deserve any better. We haven’t had hot water in the shower our whole stay. I reported it every day, people promised it was going to be taken care of but it never happened IN A WHOLE ENTIRE WEEK! The bed was terrible, the pillows even worse, there were only two hangers, we also requested more but again nothing was done, not even that! The only positive thing this hotel has is the beach, that you can enjoy without being a guest there. It is very sad that we had high expectations for this place, we’ve paid for a room that didn’t even have the basic things you need in a room: hot water and a confortable bed. Do yourself a favor and go spend your money somewhere else.

We do install new water heater any time it’s needed. We received no work order for the entire week. A room change is also no problem. It’s odd that no one dealt with your request. This is a nice beach-front hotel/resort. - Room renovations are taking place now. Beach is absolutely beautiful! - Chairs & umbrellas free for hotel guests. Decent restaurant & bar - Food was slow to arrive at table. Close to airport. (12 minute walk) Friendly staff. Taxis always out front waiting to take you wherever you want to go. I would likely return for another stay @ EBR.

The beach was the best part of the resort. Great beach chairs and umbrellas. Room was older but the bed was very comfortable. Peaceful and quiet at night.Really enjoyed the “bushwhacked’ cocktails. Would definitely consider returning to this resort.

Nick (Nickai) was a PHENOMENAL bartender / server. Music was perfect. Great end to a perfect day. Austin is great. Anna is great. The staff is all great. We’ve eaten here all week and tonight was the best. You can’t beat this beach except for Megan’s Bay.

I have been coming to this hotel for over thirty years with the exception of 2021 and 2022. Last year I noticed the quality and service of the hotel really got worse and this year was completely unacceptable. Two weeks ago when we arrived we were informed that check in time was at 4:00 PM. When we were still waiting for our room at 5:10 we asked what happened to the 4:00 PM check in time. We were informed that check in was after four and that we shouldn’t complain. There were probably 30 people waiting in the lobby for their rooms. Finally at about 5:30 we could check in to the room. The room did not look or smell very clean. The AC was mediocre. Two of the cooks didn’t show up that day so the restaurant’s food was mediocre. The General Manager informed me that some cleaning staff didn’t show that day and that one washer and dryer weren’t working. How hard it was to hold on to staff even though he treated them really well but other hotels were paying better so he couldn’t hold on to his workers. I found out later that evening that his stellar treatment of his staff was not recognized by his staff. I also noticed one of his managers coming down to the beach bar for wine every so often. I probably would be drinking a ton of wine too after the horrible treatment to their guests. Eleven days later when we came back we noticed quite a turnover in the staff. I hardly recognized anyone. One exception was Paul in the restaurant. He has been there a very long time, is very pleasant, and does a great job. I look forward to seeing him every time we go there. Last night we arrived at the hotel at 5:30 and got our room immediately. The room was cool so the AC worked well but we had no hot water. We were not able to take a warm shower in our $400.00 a night room. We were not offered another room, any form of an apology, or compensation for not having a workable warm shower. As a business owner myself I set the trend. Making excuses for everyone but myself doesn’t work. The staff at the front desk is tired of making excuses of why things don’t work or rooms aren’t ready for people to check in. They appear to be rude and intolerant. Not surprising after this keeps happening day after day. They must be tired of it too. This could be such a great place with a beautiful beach, ocean front rooms, great beach bar and restaurant. The location next to the airport is also a plus. To bad the leadership is able to run this hotel into the ground.…

We strive to give you the best possible service. We offered you a great room and we checked it out and the AC worked fine and so did the water heater. You wrote the AC was “mediocre”and a few paragraphs below you wrote “the room was cool so the AC worked well” so which is it. Let’s get real here. We had a good conversation and it seemed like your only objective was to be as critical as possible and you became extremely hostile at every levels and regardless how kind I was to you. We improved on so many levels over the years we did have some challenges that week. Based on your observations you had the answer for everything and you could have done it far better. You certainly didn’t spend $400 for the room and you wanted to be checked in very early. We were booked the previous night. You booked for one night and you aren’t a repeat business at our resort for 30 years ! We do recognize our repeat travelers and they have seen our improvements which obviously didn’t recognize. So it’s all a lie.

A pair of parrotheads were travelling to Tortola in the BVI but needed a good stopover place on the way. We stumbled upon the Emerald Beach Resort at a reasonable price with clean, comfy rooms and a fine beach! What more could a traveler desire?

Cool place, nice beach, decent room. The front desk staff was unfortunately the best part of our trip. Mostly helpful. The rest of the staff not so much. The service here is unbelievably terrible. I have never been told NO, or we cant do that more times than any vacation I have ever been on. They had one good bartender, only worked one day though. Staff all seemed to hate their jobs. Beware, they include gratuity on your tabs. This could be why service is so bad. I have found places that include tips seem to feel like they dont have to provide service. Housekeeping was mostly rude, or maybe they didnt speak english, not sure. Had to ask several times for some towels, may or may not get them the same day. Be ready to spend a lot of money! Location is not the best for restaurants, so the choice is pretty much limited to the hotel. Prices seemed high to me. Example, breakfast for 3 $85 with one average bloody mary. Now, if you want to leave the hotel to shop, explore, or try a local restaurant, be ready to get robbed by the taxis. Taxis charge per person and it seems to be different each time. Example, going shopping, $27 for 3 people, about 2 miles away. $45 for return trip. Should have been max $18 each way, still alot I thought because it is not a private cab, basically a bus. Dont waste your money with the watersports people. The guy that seems to own it is complete jerk!! I dont think they are affiliated with the hotel. If your here to just hangout on the beach it is fine. Otherwise, no real activities or amenities. Be ready for the floods of cruise ship guests, get down early to the beach to secure a good spot.…

Emerald Beach Resort does feature several options : Juice Bar, Emerald Beach Cafe, Beach Bar, Caribbean Fusion. Many restaurants are located nearby. Car rentals are an option for 2 or more travelers as taxis are charging per person. We do offer the best value on island with an exceptional beach and water sport activities.
