We had booked for 2 nights & the website looked really promising....
Reality was different!
Staff gruff, restaurant tired,
Food ok.(nothing to shout about)
Room atrocious & bed very uncomfortable.
We left after 1st night - couldn't have two nights with no sleep.
Hotel is nice peaceful location. Restaurant bistro in evening is good. Staff are rude and treat you like a nuisance. Hotel room is ok apart from lack of shower mounted facility.
Did not try spa facility so cannot comment on this.
We Had meal there tonight three of us chips dry poor quantities. lot changed since we was there a few months ago food not so good place gone very shabby and scruffy used to be the best when it was privately owned

It is a tough walk both up and down and to be honest really isnt the best walk in the Beacons .The Waterfalls area is much nicer .Take a look on the Brecon Beacons Natiional Park website for some ideas
