First of all I would like to thank Susan for arranging our early check-in and late checkout (full disclosure, we are Diamond status). I contacted Susan the day before our stay with our request and was very pleased when we arrived and met her at check-in that our request was honored. The hotel is very convenient to the cruise port and Junkanoo Beach area. The room was comfortable with a large bathroom. My only suggestion is that Diamond members be provided a complementary hot breakfast instead of a cold continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.

This location is primo! Walk to Fish Fry, downtown shops, COVID testing across the street, US Embassy. Cab stand out front for further excursions. We felt very safe here, large police presence in Nassau these days. Check Marvin for security! Pool like like new, live music on the weekend. Beach is clean and raked daily . Staff and bartenders are friendly and excellent. Check Valentino and Samuel, great job. Rooms are clean for the hotels historic age. This a timeless place, one of the grand beauties. Water pressure could be a little better, but hot water was great. Food was excellent and prices were fair for the area.

They must be having employee difficulties since the wait for dinner was ridiculously long and breakfast was somewhat better. Don't expect much in the way of Hilton Honor amenities…..we received no upgrades or late check-out as Diamond members.

Room smelled of mold. Rust on many fixtures such as lights, shower, tub and sink drains. Wood torn off on floor boards. Swimsuits and towels never dried - just damp the whole time. Room was extremely humid the whole time which made it difficult to sleep. Temperature was set to 65 degrees but still extremely hot in the room. Staff had some issues with communication such as giving us extra towels and toilet paper since we were there for a week but never got them. Also ordered pizza at their restaurant one night and waited for 2 hours but never came to give us our order. I enjoyed the beach and loved the private beach but the quality of the room and maintenance problems I saw was not worth the price I paid for.
