Like many others before us, we very much enjoyed our stay. Clean, historic yet nicely modernized and well maintained, lovely, with good amenities. There is a choice of a pool or beach, the latter on the small size but adequate, so much so that cruise line passengers in the know come here to spend the day. As for the vicinity...

very clean hotel with personable staffs. Location is ideal with an adequate private beach. walking distance to restaurants and local eatery. Stayed at the executive level rooms which was a bit smaller than expected.

First of all, this is the oldest hotel on the island, and that can be a good thing. Add to that the island location, and there are certain modern conveniences that are notably missing. If approached for the historic palace it is, this only adds to the charm of the place. The main entrance and its grand staircase are fabulous...

I stayed in the hotel at the beginning and end of my stay in Bahamas. I made a good decision not to stay in crazy Paradise island. The hotel has a nice garden, it is directly on the beach. There is enough sunbeds and umbrellas. The restaurant in the hotel is not cheap but decent, breakfasts are really grand and...

Stayed for 4 nights at the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau, while on business. The place is a historical building in downtown Nassau. It has a very beautiful private beach, the only one (private) in Nassau, where you can use kayaks and snorkeling equipment. Rooms were clean and comfy, albeit maybe a little small. One caveat was the cleanliness of...

If you need to work in downtown Nassau the BCH is in the best location being just steps away from Bay Street. The lobby is dramatic and beautiful, the staff were friendly despite having computer problems when we arrived, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The corridors and rooms are in need of modernization - the shower leaked and the...

Perhaps it was our expectation, but you’d figure that for the price we paid and the fact that it’s a historic Hilton, we would be in for an above average experience. While the location and general architecture/grounds were nice, the (front desk) service, room condition and overall upkeep were underwhelming.

Recreational activities are convenient and varied for leisure and business travelers alike. A 300-ft long private white sand beach is furnished with lounge chairs and thatched sunshades overlooking the harbor offering a peaceful and secluded access for an ocean swim or a day in the sun. Use of kayaks and snorkeling gear on the beach is complimentary. Bordered on one side by a tropical garden, the hotel's freshwater pool offers harbor views and has an expansive sundeck with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Both the sundeck and beach offer views of cruise ships moored nearby, and of the western tip of Paradise Island, 300 yards offshore. Guests can snooze in hammocks on the lawn adjacent to the pool. The property can also organize trips out reef snorkeling island exploring, boating, golf, tennis and scuba diving. For dining options, Aqua is a fun, casual restaurant serving international favorites with a Caribbean flair, or guests can meet up for cocktails at the Bullion Bar.
