I came the day after thanksgiving. The moment I got to the island I felt the positive energy. This place is amazing! I came for the the teacher training, and came a week early. At first I didn't like it, I was confused to say the least. The longer I stayed, I fell in love with the culture. Your ego...

My first visit to the Sivananda ashram was a very rejuvenating 5 day stay. The location on a tropical island makes for good weather and sunny days. The ashram offers a sustained and mature spiritual practice, plus healthy food - a yoga diet. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a great visit in every. If...

I enjoyed my stay here last winter, including the vegetarian food, no onions, no garlic. In line with the yogic teachings, and knowing well this is an ashram, it met all my expectations, and more. The really open and friendly community, atmosphere is very welcoming. I met a few repeat visitors, and will likely be a repeat visitor as soon...

I stayed in the ashram for a 3 weeks vacation over Xmas and New Years holidays. Beautiful beach and relaxing environment. Loved practicing yoga on ocean platform over looking beautiful blue and turquoise ocean, listening to waves and birds .... Ahhhhhhh...... The best part of my vacation was the last week participating in Detox. Grace has amazing wealth of knowledge...

Very cult like vibe. Probably would be fine attending as a guest but for Yoga TTC it is a bit intense and feels like they are trying to recruit you. I left early for this reason. On top of that the place is not kept up very well. Had sewage leaking above ground and people in tents were camping right...

I have visited the Sivananda Ashram on numerous occasions, usually in Jan and February. This is a no frills, serious experience for people (like me) who love chanting, rigorous yoga, communal housing, and great vegetarian meals. The extras are doing yoga on pristine beaches, being with like minded people, and swimming in the Caribbean. I also love the Karma yoga/work...

As many have said, this is not a resort with yoga classes on the side. This is an ashram, a spiritual place where people go to learn, to teach, to serve and get in touch with your inner self. The accommodations are modest, mostly shared, the activities start and end early, and the food follows the ayurvedic tradition not containing...

If you have a relaxing beachfront yoga vacation retreat in paradise in mind, this may not be the place for you. The ashram is located in a quiet and beautiful beachfront location in the Bahamas. It has picturesque views with Palm trees, ocean waves, soft sand and clear skies but the ashram itself is another story. The ashram is far...

Second time here, and I love this place. Guests and staff are all wonderful and kind. Great workshops and classes to take during the midday, yoga every morning and evening on a beautiful deck on the water. Great secluded spots to sit and think, read a book, meditate. Great beach too. My only complaint is the food, its gets tiring....
