Last minute trip to the Bahamas when our Las Vegas trip was cancelled. Accommodations and service was ok didn't do all inclusive and we found that the resort restaurants were expensive and really not that good. Good food and shopping found right across the street.

The facilities are not the greatest. I read many reviews but hoped they were wrong. Post the hurricane on October 6th, I thought the hotel would have a fresh coat of paint and clean carpets. This was an extended family trip. I thought that they were to be ocean view but we did not have an ocean view. Our rooms...

I stay here back in 2012, but I remember this vacation because this was one of my first trips the the caribbean island. I was young and went on a couple's trip with my mom. My boyfriend and I got the ocean view, room and we left the sliding door open to let in the nice breeze that was blowing...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. It was a week after they had been open after closing due to Hurricane Matthew. The main hotel and restaurants of the Grand Lucayan, which I was told would be included in the all-inclusive, was still closed due to the hurricane. Other than that it was a great beach, great food,...

We booked this Hotel for a Thanksgiving getaway. Upon arriving we were informed by the locals that there were only two hotels open after Hurricane Matthew, with the Grand Lucayan being one of them. (Also no planes can arrive or depart after dark because runway lighting has not been restored.) We reserved and all-inclusive Ocean View room and we were...

We have stayed and enjoyed the Grand Lucayan Suites numerous times in the past, so we made Suite reservations again for 5 nights. Called 3 weeks prior to arrival to reconfirm after storm and was assured all facilities would be fully operational by the time of our arrival. Unfortunately, we had arrive onsite to learn our hotel (the Grand Lucayan),...

We booked an all-inclusive stay at the Lighthouse Point hotel on the resort. The resort recently re-opened due to Hurricane Matthew's unwanted visit to the island in October. Therefore the property was not fully operational and most restaurants were not open. I was pleased with the amenities that were available, especially the live entertainment on Friday night. The Bahamian Buffet...

In May, we booked a trip to the Lighthouse Pointe (all inclusive) Resort at the Grand Lucayan for 6 nights in November. We discovered that it was hit by the hurricane and was hesitant to continue our trip. Since the trip was for my son's 11th birthday and it was a surprise gift, we decided to go. It was the...

We actually stayed at the Lighthouse Point due to Hurricane Matthew. It was perfectly fine. We were within walking distance of the Marketplace where anything one could want was available. I don't think I've ever met friendlier, more smiling people. I'd go back in an instant.

Having stayed at the main Grand Lucayan I was sort of weary about our stay at lighthouse point; much to our content we were very happy with our stay. A group of us stayed at Lighthouse Point and we had a great time. The hotel is right on the beach, the rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are friendly...
