I hadn't been to this venerable hotel / restaurant for a decade and was delighted to find that standards have improved. A diverse menu with something for everyone and great service. There are two and three course lunch discounts.

Arrived to manager and member of staff having a heated discussion , this was not stopped while we checked in and the receptionist tried to calm it but it fell on deaf ears. Our room, no 4 , was dated and tiered. No lock or shut on bathroom door , the bed WAS THE HARDEST IVE EVER TRIED TO SLEEP...

What a fabulous venue for Sunday Lunch. The hotel is quaint and the food delicious. It was a Sunday lunchtime and they were serving a 2 course Sunday lunch for £16.99 - it was the best Sunday lunch I have had next to my own! The carved lamb was mouthwatering and too much for me to eat. The roast potatoes...

Booked a table for four on mother's day. We were lucky to get it as most other places were full up. It was a beautifully sunny day and just right for mother's day. We arrived at the Beaufort Arms and were told we were not in the main restaurant but in the bar area. My first feeling was I was...

Lovely hotel in the center of Raglan. Definate Spanish influence to this hotel, with an exceptional collection of Spanish wine, Rioja in particular!. With a chilled fish counter in front of the main kitchen you can choose your own fish! Steve had sea bass which was huge and he really enjoyed. I had center fillet steak which was cooked just...

We booked a last minute overnight stay here and was given a discount from £120 to £75 B&B. When we got to our room I was so relieved that we'd only paid the £75 as this was definitely not worth anymore! The decor left a lot to be desired, the bathroom door did not shut properly, thin bath towels, cheap...

A busy Saturday evening but nevertheless the food, wine and service were superb. The venison was mouthwatering and the pork simply delicious. The wine was so good I bought six bottles of it on line when we got home. (Altos Ibericos Rioja). We'll be back!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Beaufort is under new ownership since October 2015 and has had a vast refurbishment throughout. The rooms in the main hotel building have been tastefully decorated with rich sumptuous medieval colours whilst the Coach House has a fresh "New England" style decor. The inn oozes quality and old world charm. The food is brasserie style with a Mediterranean twist and you can see the fresh fish and seafood on display in the lovely display counter at the restaurant entrance. There are 2 course lunch and evening special menus which are very good value and a full a la carte menu complemented by a vast wine list. ... more   less
