Having recieved a voucher for my husbands birthday we decided to put some money towards it for a meal for our 54 wedding anniversary,The meal was ok but we think over priced, I asked the waitress how many scallops I would get she said 4 I got 3 very small. There was no non alcoholic beer despite being in the...

It is a few years since we last stayed here, but it is just as good as I last remembered it. The rooms a comfortable with good facilities throughout, particularly the shower room. Breakfast was nutritious and filling, with a full welsh option! The location is stunning, and the walks around it just great. I no doubt will be back...

Superb, albeit somewhat isolated setting a few miles from Monmouth with very comfortable rooms , a warm welcome and really high quality restaurant meals , which very much deserves recommendation for its class of accommodation and value for money. We would definitely return!

We had two nights at The Bell and really enjoyed our stay. Being an old coaching inn, it has bags of character which is enhanced by the big squishy sofas in the bar and a nice relaxed feel. Our room - Coachman - overlooking the river, was nicely decorated and really spacious, and the very large bed was extremely comfortable....

We stayed in the Coch a bon ddu room for two evenings for a Fri and Sat stay. The good. Dinner on Saturday night was very nice and we enjoyed very much. The location is remote and exactly what we wanted. The river and castle are close by and we used the bell written walks to enjoy the countryside. No...

My wife and I had a great stay at the bell The hotel is in the beautiful Wye Valley, easy to get to, great walks and castles close by The room we had (Heckham Peckham) was the best room we have stayed in in a long while I use lots of hotels on business, this knocks spots of the chains...

Location beautiful, hotel is very nicely presented. Some great touches such as a tea pot on the hot drinks tray. ( I for one abhor making tea in a mug) and proper milk in a flask. Rooms are clean and comfortable but not outstanding. I would expect this level of comfort in a friends house or a good B and...

One night stay. Great service, friendly staff, comfortable room, and the food is good restaurant standard - all sources named and imaginative menu. The location is super and you definitely need to bring your walking boots (which can be left to dry in reception). Oh and BTW, the wine list is great with good reasonably priced wines but opportunities to...

Stumbled across this excellent pub on our recent visit to Monmouthshire. Picturesque setting , stylish interior only hindered by a limited menu and not suitable for children. The waitress couldn't do enough for us with her pleasant and helpful manner ironically the opposite of the bar manager who was obviously in the wrong profession as dealing with customers was not...
