We booked the Talbot as our base - as we were attending a family party - which was taking place at a 'Barn House' close by. We in total booked 4 rooms - all which were lovely - quant - unique - and in keeping with the traditional style of an old English pub. Clean - beds comfy - hospitality...

Stayed 7th and 8th April, room # one - nice and quiet on the back of the Pub. Very warm welcome to a very busy pub. Plenty of people eating & drinking. No problem parking in what is a very pretty village. Ate on both nights. Breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked. Good choice of beers and wines at competitive...

Found this hotel by chance and booked it for one of our Engineers whilst working in the area, he had no complaints at all. The hotel was clean, the food good and the staff very friendly and helpful and all at a very reasonable price.

Enjoyed a pint here with the family. Clean and tidy traditional village pub set in a beautiful village. Good warm fire. I would like a greater range of tap beers, but that is probably difficult to sustain in a small place.

The Talbot is a very quaint old English pub inn that has that really friendly welcoming atmosphere. The staff very friendly and strive to make you welcome and your stay as pleasant as possible. The accommodation is typical of an old English pub, old but clean and functional. The dinning and breakfast staff cheery and professional. Food all our three...

Another excellent stay. We were running late due to traffic and risked missing the kitchen open hours. We need not have worried as one of the staff rang us to check if we were okay. She then helped us choose our meal choices to ensure the kitchen could be preparing them as we drove the last 20 miles. Excellent service...

Stayed at the hotel for three nights. Beautiful accommodation. Staff falling over themselves to be helpful. Good choice of drinks. Great food - really loved the steaks. Will be returning in the fairly near future.

First time we've visited the Talbot Hotel even though we live about 5 miles away! Should have gone before, they served an excellent Sunday lunch; the soup starter was lovely and the roast beef and lamb were very good. Plenty of vegetables to choose from. We were made to feel very welcome. Will definitely return.

Evening meal, just walked in on a Saturday night for food, they were busy but had a table. Fast service and friendly staff. Food was really nice, good value for money, good sized portions. Will definitely be retuning.
