We were searching for a bite to eat after a long day hiking on Lochnagar and thought the Kinord looked welcoming (and had a sign outside advertising bar meals?). So my boyfriend and I walked in and through to the restaurant to ask for a table, which only had 1 table of occupied.... to be told that the restaurant was... More

We have been using the Hotel for about 10 or 12 years and its a little while since we last stayed the night but the welcome from Andrew and Jenny is as warm as ever. Our room was the last available and although a little smaller than some of the others we have used it was clean and snug and... More

I had a late business meeting, and was hoping to set of for home, much earlier than was the case. I found The Loch Kinord Hotel, on bookings.com. for a room that night. The booking was easy, and within a couple of minutes everything was completed. The welcome was warm and friendly, the staff, smart and courteous. I was taken up... More

To sum up...dated, dour, dirty and disappointing...just pop along to Ballater and try Osbornes or Moorside or Deeside or the Green Inn. Otherwise you hand over your good money and in return you get bad value (in my humble opinion).

We stayed at Loch Kinord Hotel to attend a wedding nearby. We were welcomed by a delightful lady and shown to our room which had a 4 poster bed. It was very comfortable and clean. After a good nights sleep we were given a choice for breakfast which was delicious. Some great places to visit nearby and lovely walks, one... More

A group of old friends and I booked for a cycling weekend; the service was good, the rooms were comfortable, and the food was just excellent! The owner was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. And Deeside is a brilliant place to go cycling!!

We loved this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was superb; at was at the front of the hotel upstairs. There was a double bed and a single by the windows. I slept in the single bed looking out to the beautiful woods across the road. Although on the main road, there was virtually no traffic... More

Hotel is somewhat isolated (which may be your preference) and not the most obvious to find until you're almost at the front door. There is parking, however if you are using a taxi service, the hotel is reluctant to call one due to distance from Aberdeen! The entrance is a hallway slightly off the main road and as you come... Stayed for 2 nights due to a big family Golden Anniversary weekend. As a family of 4 we were accommodated in one of the lodges to the rear of the hotel. The lodge was very comfortable, clean and cozy with all the amenities, kitchenette, flat screen TV, good shower, plenty of storage and proper hangers (not those anti-theft things I... More

I called about staying at the loch kinnord with our 2 small dogs, their website said they had 'dog friendly' rooms so I thought I would check if they had one available. When I called I spoke to a woman who I now believe to be one of the owners.. She asked me to hold on, and i could hear... More
