Wasn't sure what to expect after reading the reviews but they were spot on. This place is in need of a full renovation. Some rooms (ours) had been updated somewhat (beds specifically....comfy, contemporary bedding decor) the rest of the hotel needs work. Had to change rooms for shower flooding the hallway when used. Breakfast was okay since they did have Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and Otis Spunkmeyer muffins no dine-in though due to Covid. Pool was clean but pool area needs renovated too. Staff was polite and helpful, considering the proximity to eating and the beach, $139 is a little steep but most reasonable price in the area.

Upon arriving at this motel on Christmas Eve, I could immediately tell it was a bit dated. The lady at the front desk was very nice, (first impressions mean a lot to me!) I know hotel owners are really struggling during this terrible Covid crisis, so "almost" decided to not leave a review, yet I think it's important for owners to know what their customers think of their experiences. The room was quite small. Two double beds scrunched in. Not pleased to find a few cockroaches crawling around. The hot water in the shower wasn't hot enough. This is the second location I've stayed at a Sleep Inn at and both motels don't have a "dedicated" door (with a handle) for their tiny restrooms, rather a sliding door that's difficult to navigate. I was told by the front desk lady that due to Covid, there would be no maid service. Again,she was very friendly, and switched out dirty towels for clean no problem. Hopefully, once this pandemic is over with, motels like this will get back to making the necessary improvements to their properties. I'll close by saying "you get what you pay for." Though just expected a "little" more for the $90 per night we paid for the 3 nights.

My husband & I stayed 3 nights here. The room where we stayed was clean and the bed was very comfortable. This is not a 5 star hotel but it’s rooms are clean!! Rooms have fridge and microwave in them. They offer a breakfast you can grab and take back to your room…..they have breakfast sandwiches & tacos, cereal, muffins juice & coffee. It’s ok I guess can’t ask for much with COVID still around right! The pool is good. They do not offer housekeeping at this time but you can get clean linens and towels daily to change if you want. Very close to public beaches (about a 3 min drive) and close to lots of restaurants and stores. Would stay again!!!

We were pleasantly surprised as we had never stayed at a Sleep Inn. They have nice amenities, very nice toiletries.
They have tile floors in the entire room.
They have a shower that either is so complicated we couldn’t figure it out or it didn’t work
Breakfast is basic, the room is dingy and uninviting.
It is nice that coffee, tea, juice and got chocolate are available in the lobby.

For what we paid it was not too bad. Room was clean, we didny utilize the pool and check in/out was easy and friendly. It wasn't every easy walk to the beach though. You're pretty close to everything else, the store is walking distance and if you want to cross 98 you can walk to the outlets

Clean comfortable room. Bathroom a little small. Breakfast good, but not great. It appears possible to walk 3 blocks down to the beach using a public street entrance. We opted to use the free public Miramar beach for beach access and it was good, IF you arrived before 9am to find parking. A better option was Henderson State Park, IF you arrive before 10am. The hotel is next door to all kinds of fast food restaurants and a Circle K. Winne Dixie supermarket is one block. Anything you needed is within walking distance. Outlet mall just across major Hwy. Hotel itself is run down and needs a major facelift. All in all for the price and location, it’s what I expected. Recommend

Nice clean hotel room with fair pricing for season at redneck riviera. Hotel is next to US98 but far enough that you do not have any traffic noise in room. The staff is friendly and the hotel seems in good shape.

Nice location to the beach. Sets one block away. They have no housekeeping due to covid which I like. The breakfast is grab and go. That was nice. The bed was a little uncomfortable. Nice size room. The day staff stayed on their phone most of the time and the evening staff was unfriendly

We had two rooms and neither were very clean. The shower had gold duct tape on it and the entire place was very outdated. The carpets we disgusting and the staff was very unfriendly. We needed an extra towel and asked the housekeeper outside our room for one and she said we had to go to thr front desk. Not helpful at all.

Not expecting a tremendous amount from a chain budget hotel, I was somewhat pleased with our 3 night stay here while visiting Destin. First of all, the location suited our needs perfectly. This hotel is not really in Destin, but in nearby Miramar Beach which is merely 7-10 minutes from the center of Destin. This location is ideal for those that want the quiet of suburbia with a beach feel. The beach is within walking distance and the outlet mall is right across the street.
We arrived fairly late (around midnight) and were disappointed that it was stiflingly hot in our room and the entire place had a strange odor. The room cooled in about 20 minutes, but since there was no elevator I wished it would have been cooler after lugging our bags up the stairs.
The "cleaning service" was less than impressive. Both days, they only made one of the two beds (no additional cleaning or straightening up) and didn't even leave extra toilet paper! Not sure why they even bothered entering the room.
Also, upon leaving... I called about 2 hours before checkout to ask for a late checkout since it was raining in sheets and flooding all around us but was only granted 30 minutes extra. Thanks, Sleep Inn for being concerned with my safety...

The location of the Sleep Inn is right on Highway 98 in Destin. About 40 ft. off the highway.
If you were walking, it would take @ least 15 minutes and I wouldn't want to do that if there were small children because it would involve walking on the road where the Taco Bell/ KFC are (across from the Winn DIxie)and it is a busy road. After crossing the street I am not sure where you get on the walk way to the beach. However, if driving it would take less than 10 to get to the beach parking next to Pompano Joes where there are restrooms& showers to use and the beach is right there.
Dear guest, we do accept pets that are under 30 lbs. the rules are to attend them while you are staying here , they can not be left alone in the room. and there is a $25 fee for first night and $10 each additional nights. I do apologize that, There are no pet friendly beaches in Destin, FL,
