Hotel's Favourite
Coming here feels like a home away from home. In my last review I failed to mention the superb customer service that I received and witnessed. Roderick and Calisia go out of their way to make sure my room is perfect before I check in. Roderick actually walks with me and helps me inspect the rooms! Calisia waits patiently for my return to give her the ok before she puts my information in. The customer service i witnessed was with Calisia. A woman from MS made a reservation, but her card and her husbands' card were charged. The woman was cool, but you could tell she was pissed! Calisia remained calm and explained to the woman that she was unable to help her due to the rules of the hotel. She remained professional and kind during the entire process. I spoke to the lady the next morning and even though she was still irritated (which I don't blame her) she managed to compliment Calisia on how sweet she was and that she understood her position. I have been in the hospitality industry for over 40 years and I know sincerity and kindness. The entire staff is consistent with every guest and they are greatly appreciated!

We stayed one night at the Comfort Inn on our way to New Orleans.
First of all, the location was
The bedding was luxurious, and we loved the comfy duvet accompanied by 5 pillows.
ideal for all beach goers, numerous restaurants, and outdoor fun activities.
The breakfast was provided in a brown bags. Granola bars, yogurt, egg sandwiches and the most delicious hot coffee.
The General Manager, Michelle Garcia was so gracious to us and other guests. She brought out trays of bags, cleaned the area and made us feel so welcome.
We will definitely return thanks the southern hospitality Michelle displayed.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Miramar for my freshman year Spring Break. I was there for a total of three nights. I thought the value was great for what we payed. I shared a room with three other people and while it was a little tight, I really can't complain considering how cheap it was. The room was very clean and had all of your basic necessities. At one point our bathroom light went out and someone came up and fixed it within a half hour.
Also, the location was perfect. About a 15 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to the stretch of houses that most Southern frats and Sororities stay at. We spent all day at the beach and at night would meet with friends in Greek at UT, LSU, or A&M. We also ended up spending a day in Seaside which is only a 45 minute drive from the Comfort Inn.
The front desk workers were nice and the cleaning staff was nice. One thing I will mention is that they say breakfast is complimentary but it is nothing like a continental breakfast. It was a half frozen Jim Bean breakfast sandwich in a paper bag. We ended up doing all meals on our own. While there are a few fun restaurants nearby, we ended up grocery shopping or grabbing fast food to go most of the time. There is a Walmart that is a 10 minute walk away which ended up being super convenient.
This was one of the few hotels where there was no age limit on booking so that was also really nice. There were a lot of Spring Breakers staying at the same time as us and we never had any noise issues. When the door is closed no too much sound carries out.
Overall if I was a freshman in college looking for somewhere cheap to stay with my friends I would definitely book this.

Checked in after driving all day, the front desk employees were not friendly and had to reprint our paperwork a few times. We finally get into the room and peel back the sheets to check them, only to find a bug crawling in the bed and a few dark hairs in the sheets. We call the front desk and the lady comes down to see for herself, picks the big up and squished it, throws the hairs off the bed and is acting like we’re kind of crazy for not wanting to stay and wanting a refund. The front desk was equally as annoyed on our way out and clearly mad and temperamental with us because we were not going to stay. Stay anywhere else this is not the place. Photos look nice online but in person it’s dinghy.

Overall a good stay. Very nice staff and the hotel is new. Our king room was clean, but we were surprised it was so small - maybe this is a new design?
Breakfast was under COVID restrictions, but what they could offer was plentiful - juice, coffee, milk, muffins, microwave breakfast sandwiches, etc.
Parking lot is well lit and access off 98 is pretty easy. Ask for a room away from 98, hells a bunch with the traffic noise.
Only reason no 5/5 is the small room size, dirty floors in the main hallways/stairways and the hotel didn’t seem 100% finished. No lamps in the room, furniture seemed cheap and no artwork in room or hallways/main areas.

We visit Destin a few times a year, and while we have stayed at other hotels during prior visits, and this one before as well, we’ve decided that we will always choose this one as our 1st option from here on out.
Upon check in, the room we received did not have working AC, I believe it was just as simple as the batteries needed changed in the thermostat - Hey, it happens! However when we alerted the front desk, they immediately placed us in another room, no questions asked! While this seems like a minor issue to some, this was a big deal for us! Our very previous visit to a choice hotel, in another state, we experienced an AC issue and was made to wait outside in the 90° heat while they called maintenance men to attempt to fix, 3 hours later, we were finally placed into a new room. So the fact that we were immediately moved and not inconvenienced, was wonderful!
The room was very clean and tidy upon arrival! Housekeeping was prompt, and was always on schedule when we requested in during our 7 day stay! Rooms were always clean and towels, soaps, etc restocked, as well as floors cleaned and vacuumed! And let’s face it - when you have children AND sand in the same vacation, it gets messy, this was much appreciated!
Breakfast had several options - hot foods, cold options, toast, bagels, fruit and cereal as well. The staff worked diligently to keep everything stocked and available.
Lobby area and parking lots are clean and well lit. The hotel is less than a 5 minute drive to the beach, and close to shopping, food, etc!
Staff was always friendly and available! Regardless of the time of day or night.
We are Platinum choice reward members, and the first part of our stay was a reservation made with our reward points, to cash in for multiple free nights! (If you’re not a choice member, you are missing out on a lot of good deals - sign up!). During the second part of our stay, we experienced a hiccup with our reservation, the General Manager, Donna, was amazing! She immediately told us not to be concerned, and assured us that she would fix the issue and take care of us, and boy did Mrs Donna deliver! She did exactly what she promised, and our stay went uninterrupted
with zero issues, zero concerns. Now, THIS is hospitality!
Mrs Donna and her team will make sure your experience here is everything you expect it to be, and the location and price of this hotel can’t be beat! Donna has earned our business, and we will be permanent customers of this hotel from now on, anytime we visit the area.

New hotel, lobby and rooms were very clean. Five minute drive to beautiful South Walton Beach and restaurants. Desk clerks were very efficient and friendly at both check in and check out. Only one negative about the hotel - the walls seem very thin, we could hear conversations and snoring from room next to ours.

Everything about our stay was great. Jermaine was awesome and he’s quite a character. Love seeing the staff take care of people and laugh with guests. They look like they enjoy working together which is fantastic! The location is great, the free breakfast was great (eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, waffles, coffee), and the room was perfect. Quiet, not too big but not small at all, and my bed came with FIVE pillows! FIVE! I’ve never been to a hotel with more than two (and I need to sleep on an incline) and I always have to request more… but not here. Flat screen TVs with tons of cable channels, the free WiFi was easy to access, the parking is plentiful and free. It was just a great trip 100%.

We stayed for 3 nights for a family event nearby.
Rooms are clean, but rather small. Only suitable for 1 person, if staying for more than 1 night. You couldn't fit a second chair into a king room, space was so tight. "Desk" nested under the wall-mounted tv, was not usable.
Breakfast room and common areas were not always well maintained or stocked. Trash bins usually were overflowing in the morning.

This is the best hotel experience I've had in a long time! I hesitate to say how wonderful it is because everyone will book here and I won't get a room! I stayed y myself and felt so safe and appreciated. Not only is there a great free breakfast, it is next door to a nice coffee shop and a place to get your car fixed! The beach is within walking distance (1.1 miles) on sidewalks, and you can also easily walk to the CVS or the gas station. This will be my go-to place when I visit the area regardless of rates.
